Training (The Other)

[Eugene "Flash" Thompson]

(ooc: January 5th. Morning.)

Flash groaned as his cell opened and guards grabbed him dragging him up and out of the room.

"Where are you taking me?" asked Flash.

They ignored him and he sighed. He was glad to be out of solitary confinement. But he began to worry if where they were taking him was worse. After what felt like hours they arrived at a bedroom and shackles were placed on his ankles and wrists and he was shoved into the room.

"You be good and just stay put. Your new master will be along shortly. King Loki requested he take you on. I feel sorry for you kid. But it's your own fault. If you'd just kept your mouth shut and did as you were told this wouldn't be happening." said the first guard.

The other guard looked at Flash angrily and with lust.

"He's right. You'd be better off in solitary confinement. A shame really. I hope he doesn't break you too much. I wanted to take you but Loki said you needed discipline. Oh well. Perhaps another time then." said the second guard.

They guards both smirked and walked out leaving Flash alone. He shivered grateful the guard didn't get his wish but now he was wondering who this new master was. It didn't sound good.

[The Other(Chitauri Leader)]

When loki told him there was a rowdy slave who needed a lot of dicipline, The Other immediately agreed to his demands. Which was why the young slave was here in his room at this very moment, The Other walked with some sort of grace and dignity similar to Loki's type of walking but it was fast-paced as well as graceful. So when he opened the door, the young slave confined with shackles on both his ankles and wrists, The Other glared at first wondering if this boy really was worth looking over but the king's orders were the king's orders and everyone had to be well-behaved for the glory that was the king.

"Ah. So you're the youthful, foolish mortal who dared to disobey the orders of Loki, eh?" The Other said, his voice demonic but it had a edge of humor within it. As if amused that this idiot even had the courage to test Loki's patience. The Other was loyal to loki so it was a shock to see rebellion come from the slaves, surprisingly enough. "Sit down. Now. Care to tell me what prevoked you to defy the king?" The Other said, a firmness in his tone. He knew exactly why the boy was here. Flash was asked to work some household chores and he just mouthed off to the king, but the other wanted to embarrass the boy. To let him know that he wasn't a free man, but a slave, a slave that would be punished.

[Eugene "Flash" Thompson]

Flash glared at him.

"And you're supposed to be my new master? You don't look so tough." said Flash.

Flash paused as he told him to sit down.

"I'll stand. And he's not my king. I'm an US citizen. I have no loyalty to Loki." said Flash.

He didn't realize who he was speaking to. One of the Chitauri aliens who participated in what many now called "The Battle Of New York". Of course with super heroes like the Avengers, Fantastic Four and Spider-man protecting New York he felt like these freaks would lose. Just like anyone else. He was taken by complete surprise when he suddenly backhanded and knocked into the wall hard as he collapsed to the ground. He tried to stand up but he was suddenly grabbed by the throat and raised off the ground.

"Is that really the best you can do?" gasped Flash.

He would later regret those words.

"Your opinions on what a new master looks like matters not to me. You are here for one purpose, to obey me, nothing more" The Other harshly responded, annoyed with this resistant man "Your attitude towards me better change immediately. Or else serious punishment will be bestowed upon you" The Other threatened. The other admittedly wasn't that much to look at but the way he sounded should've given Flash a wake up call. The fact it was a alien person with unknown strengths could've been a warning also

"Yes you do. You are a slave here. Everyone here came either from the so-called american states or some other countries we have gratefully destroyed. I feel you aren't aware of my power. I grow weary of your vain responses" The Other snapped and instantly slapped Flash across the face hard enough to collaspe the poor man to the ground. When flash tried to get up, The other grabbed his throat and raised him above the ground. He chuckled darkly when flash asked if he could do better "Of course I can. I am impressed you actually are this stubborn. No matter. I have ways of breaking wild beasts" He instantly threw the man across the entire room and to another wall, deliberately making it hard enough for the man to possibly have problems with his back.

"Get up. I will not ask again" The other harshly responded, looking down at the pained young man below him.

[Eugene "Flash" Thompson]

Flash glared at him but shut up. He realized insulting his captor would only get him beaten. And he'd had enough beatings. He groaned finally getting up at The Other's command.

"Why am I here? I'd rather be in the dungeon than be passed around like a sack of potatoes." said Flash.

He knew this was guy was his new master but he wasn't really sure why. Plus the guy was terrifying and he certainly was strong. He would try to be more respectful to the guy in the future. Even if he didn't like it. He was sore all over especially his throat where the other had grabbed him. He doubted he'd be getting any medicine or bandages for anything. And no doubt his severe injuries would probably be healed. After all a slave was no good to anyone on bed rest.

(OCC: Apoligies for crappy response. The other is not agreeing with me at this point of time, but hey let's give poor flash a shitty reason for his cruel punishment XD)

The other would've smirked if not for Flash's ignorant response to him. The other observed the young man before snapping "You know exactly why you are here! You had the gall to openly mock and protest Loki's orders to clean up around the house. Your position in life is to make the king feel he is a clean environment. Your arrogance against him is why you are here. Now, because of your words, you will remain here as my own personal slave" He then chuckled lowly "Besides, throwing you about like a toy will not amuse me forever. Instead humbling you and training you to behave will"

He then looked the young man up and down and responded, with more amusement "You seem to have fought many superiors in the past, that or you grew up in a very spoiled home. I feel quite sorry for the people who are around you. You must be very intimidating to them. How does it feel? Being, as the humans say, pushed around?" He got closer to the man "I have knowledge far beyond your years. If you think you're better than me, you are sorely mistaken. I can make your nightmares come to life. Care for a demonstration?" He showed flash his hand and chuckled, awaiting the slave's response.

[Eugene "Flash" Thompson]

Flash glared at him.

"I don't like being a slave. I was free a few weeks ago. I was on the football team. I was popular. I should be on of the guards at least. Not a slave." said Flash.

He shuddered at the words personal slave. He had a feeling he was better off in the dungeon.

"Just send me back to the dungeon. It's obvious you don't want me here anymore than I do." said Flash.

He paused with a frown.

"I wasn't spoiled. I came from a rich family sure. But I had friends and family. Like everyone else. But I guess I was a bit of a bully in high school. But now you're the bully." said Flash.

He smirked at his captor's words.

"You're bluffing. You can't make nightmares come to life." said Flash.

"Well you are not. Life does not revolve around with what you desire. I did not ask for you to like it and neither did the king. You are lucky he decided to let you live as a slave than to just leave you to the dust" The other snapped, losing his patience. He, quite frankly, couldn't STAND this boy. To him, this was a kid being a spoiled brat. Not a honest to god person trying to stand up for himself.

"No! My orders are to punish you! That is precisely what I intend to do! And it will not be hard especially since you are such a daft insolent mortal!" The other snapped, his voice demonic and extremely sharp-toned. He was not afraid to get nasty. That was his job. To control and to cause fear. He liked the job. It allowed him respect from others

"If you were, as you say, a bully in your school, your life MUST of had it's problems. Tell me, were your parents, instead of spoiling you, they neglected you? Or maybe instead of your parents maybe someone in your life neglected you? That can honestly induce anger in people. And I am no bully, I am a outer creature. You have no idea who you are talking to" He angerily responded, annoyed slightly that his tactics, at the moment, were not working.

"Bluffing? Oh, I assure you, I would not be bluffing about this" The other said, and he grabbed Flash and induced his hand on Flash's head and released a spell that would cause a lot of pain. He did this many times to Loki before Loki betrayed him, but now he was doing the same torture to flash.

(OCC: Feel free to make Flash just feel pain and not nightmares. But I wanted The other to intimidate Flash a little bit)

[Eugene "Flash" Thompson]

Flash glared at him.

"But I'm not one of those super heroes. I'm not threat to him. Why did he bring me here? I'd be better off on Earth." said Flash.

He didn't realize of course wrong he was. How food and shelter were scarce and many were starving or hurt. He glared at him.

"I never asked to be a slave. I don't call this lucky at all." said Flash.

Flash winced as he said his orders were to punish him and that was what he intended to do.

"Can't we work this out?" asked Flash.

He frowned as he talked about his past as he looked at him in shock.

"How did you know about that? No. You're just messing with my head. You couldn't have known my mother died when I was young and my father spent all the time at his stupid office. All I had was my friends and my fame for being on the football team. Now I have nothing." said Flash.

He gasped as The Other grabbed him calling his bluff as he put his hand on Flash's head as Flash gasped. He clutched his head in pain as it felt like it was pounding.

"What did you do to me? The pain. It hurts. Make it stop." said Flash.

"Because people who are rebellious in nature must be brought to him to prevent rebellion from ever appearing on earth. Do not question the king's abilities" The other growled, annoyed with this boy. His patience was quite frankly at a end. As if it wasn't already. The other observed the boy and listened to the boy's negative responses "You are living yes? Would you prefer death? Because I assure you, I can make you die right here. Right now"

"I previously wanted to as you say 'work it out' but your arrogance changed my mind" The other snapped. He then chuckled as flash responded, confessing some parts of his past that the other was having a good feeling about "I did not but now you've told me. I knew something was wrong with you, you only gave me some hints just now. So you aren't the perfect happy child you call yourself, why am I not surprised?" He chuckled again. He then chuckled as his powers caused a huge amount to pain to flow within flash's head. The other walked over as the boy told him to make it stop. "Beg for it foolish boy, after all this is a punishment, therefore the pain will not stop until you beg"

[Eugene "Flash" Thompson]

(ooc: Thought it'd be amusing if he refers to him as Eugene or makes up his own nickname for him. He knows Flash prefers Flash and well he just wants to annoy him and call him his real name or something else. xd)

Flash paused glaring at him.

"So I defy orders and run my mouth a little? I'm no threat to the guards let alone Loki. I understand being punished. But why did it have to be you? Why didn't the guards just beat me up a little?" said Flash.

He paused at his words.

"Being a slave and being beaten like this isn't really living. Death might be better than this. But I don't want to die." said Flash.

Flash winced as he spoke. He'd run off his mouth again and was even more trouble now.

"I'm sorry about that." lied Flash.

He wasn't sorry but he had to make nice with this guy. At least until he got taken back to a cell. Of course he didn't realize yet this was a permanent arrangement at least for now. Flash frowned realizing his captor was only guessing and Flash had just confirmed everything.

"I see. I never claimed to be perfect. I was just had a happier life in high school." said Flash.

Flash groaned as the pain was unbearable. He wanted it to stop. He paused as The Other walked up to him and spoke telling him to beg to stop.

"You made your point. Make it stop. Please make it stop." said Flash.

(OCC: Immensely late. But yes, I'll do that, make the other call him "young human" just to annoy flash)

"Loki found your actions needed to be dealt with someone who knows exactly how to force someone to never appear rebellious again. It is not your physicality but your spirit the king wishes to break. I tend to be very good at making the arrogant weak-minded" The other responded, a hint of amusement in his tone. He couldn't help but feel curious to why this boy was so stubborn in saying he did nothing worth seeing the other. It meant the young man feared him. Which was something he liked.

He paused and was about to respond about Eugene's response about dying possibly being better than living. But then he took it back and apologized "You are lucky you are watching your tongue more. Otherwise I would've considered taking your offer and given you a death penalty" He then chuckled as the younger human responded about his previous life being better, not perfect, but better "Indeed. Yet you decided to bully others or pus. How does it feel to be bullied instead of being the bully hm?" He was doing this to try to guilt Flash a bit. Make him feel sorry for his actions.

"I see that I have made a point. I expect less backtalking, young human" The other said before putting his hand on Flash once more. The pain that was coursing through flash's body would now immediately vanish and instead give relief of sorts. The other patiently waited for flash to stop being in pain.

[Eugene "Flash" Thompson]

Eugene nodded. Talking back to him would just get more punishment and he wasn't a sadist. This was his life now. He had to behave if he wanted to live. It would be so easy to curl into a ball and die. But if Loki wanted him dead he'd have done that instead of giving him to his new master. He was meant to suffer and be a slave.

"I understand. I guess it just hadn't sunk in before. I was just so used to getting my way all the time. Being adored. But that life's over now." said Eugene.

He paused and nodded.

"I'm sure you would do that too. But if the king wanted me dead he'd have done it by now. He wants me alive but I suppose my life is meaningless here in the end. Always another slave to replace me if I outlive my usefulness right?" said Eugene, a bit bitterly.

He sighed at his words.

"Not very good. It's not nice to be on the receiving end." said Eugene.

He paused as his new master spoke again. He nodded.

"I promise I'll try. That's all I can do. I know if I lose my temper again I'll probably get worse than this. And I don't want that." said Eugene.

He paused as the man healed his injuries and he relaxed a little. He paused looking at him curious. He paused realizing a blue star had appeared on his neck. The Chitauri had marked him but it hadn't hurt to his surprise.

"What's this for?" asked Eugene.

He paused looking up at his master.

"What is my purpose here? Do I clean and fetch things for you? I just want to know what I'm supposed to do so I don't get in trouble again." said Eugene.

(ooc: decided the blue star would be sorta of marking eugene as his property. figure it'd show who his master was. And perhaps it'd be a way the other could summon eugene to him. like it could glow or something. if you don't like that i can edit it out.)

(OCC: Sure. Makes sense. It's fine)

The other nodded, satisfied with submission from Eugene. He then listened as Eugene was asking him if his life was meaningless "Compared to the royals, yes, you are simply another slave. But it is evident the king wishes you to serve properly like the rest, otherwise you wouldn't be here. I expect more progress as you're here" The other then continued as Eugene admitted to not feeling great to be bullied "Think about that next time you consider preying on the weak"

"Good. You're learning. That's progress. But do not mistake me being pleased with being kind" The other warned as Eugene seemed to be more cooperative. Understandable due to not wanting abuse. The other than smirked as Eugene asked what the star was for "A mark to remind others who you belong to. Since you are my slave now, I wish others to know that too. It will also make you come to me whenever I need you" He then pondered at Eugene's question "Well yes. The same duties other slaves have are yours as well. You are expected to work and obey"

[Eugene "Flash" Thompson]

Eugene nodded meekly. So he now knew his place. He was at the bottom of the pecking order.

"I guess that's true. He could have killed me if he wanted to and he would have had every right to. I do wonder why he bothered to kidnap me. I mean I'm not a super hero or a friend of any of them. But I guess I'm not going to get that answer." said Eugene.

Eugene nodded again not having anything to say about that. He doubted he'd ever go back to his bullying ways after this. If he ever got out of this. He froze as he said it was his mark saying he belonged to him.

"A mark of ownership. So you branded me like cattle?" said Eugene.

He paused as he said it would make him come to him when he needed him. Eugene nodded.

"I meant any personal duties for you? Like do I clean your room something?" said Eugene.

(ooc: oh had another idea for the mark that the other could explain to him. the mark allows the other to find him wherever he is and locate him. so if eugene ever tried to escape he'd be stopped before he even got close to an exit.)

(OCC: Alright. Makes sense)

"The king's motivations for having someone as simple as you is unknownst to me. I do not question him" The Other was surprisingly patient in tone. Now that Eugene was being more cooperative, the other's true colors of patience and firmness were showing. It didn't mean the other was being kind, it just meant the other tolerated Eugene just as much as Eugene tolerated him.

"Well that and another specific duty" The Other made a rather evil or sadistic grin "It is to prevent you to escape. Not only does the mark make you come to me, but it also allows me to know where you are" He chuckled softly "I am not so stupid as to simply brand you without a more important purpose" He chuckled again, amused with Eugene's slowly reforming annoyance.

The Other nodded calmly "Yes. There are plenty of things you can do besides clean this room. Your purpose is to make sure I am content or satisfied with your labor" He then pondered "Although, as of now, you have nothing to do besides simply learn who I am as your master"

[Eugene "Flash" Thompson]

Eugene nodded.

"I guess he or his guards just picked up randomly people really. I mean most of the other slaves didn't even seem that important. With a few exceptions." said Eugene.

Eugene paused listening to him as he spoke about the blue star.

"So it's a magical version of a tracking chip. I won't try to escape. I don't want to get you mad again. Feeling that once was enough." said Eugene.

He'd been beaten enough by guards in the cells and now the mental torture by The Other.

"So besides cleaning the room, I have to keep you happy with my work. That means doing anything you ask me right? What if I don't know how to do what you're asking? Would you give me time to learn it or punish me anyway?" said Eugene.

He paused hearing him say he just had to learn he was his master. He nodded weakly realizing his anger and annoyance had to stop. It would just get him more punishments. He had to act meek and humble if he had to stay alive. This may not be much of a life right now but he wasn't ready to die.

"I understand. Do I call you by your name or just master?" said Eugene.

"Perhaps. Perhaps not. I will admit, you asked a interesting question. I of course will not dare question my king's authority but you do have a solid point" The other admitted despite himself. The kid was mortal and bad-tempered but he wasn't as stupid as the other immediately assumed he was.

"I suppose you could say that. And I believe you but at the same time, I am a cautious owner and do not want to take any chances" The other's tone was amused. He knew his slave wouldn't be so bold anymore but the other wasn't stupid. Slaves, regardless of their loyalty, could never escape the temptation to leave.

"Yes it does. If you act accordingly, as in without attitude or question, I will give you my good graces. If you do so happen to have trouble and are showing good behavior, I will teach you properly. Keep that in mind because if you have wrong behavior, I will be equally as nasty to you as you might be to me. Remember, I can only be kind for so long as you respect me" The other patiently replied, explaining to Eugene with a hint of cordial kindness. He knew the kid was just asking questions and wasn't trying to be difficult. So the other was good enough to be like a teacher by this point.

"Master for now. If you behave yourself long enough, you can earn the reward of calling me by name" The other said firmly. He wasn't going to let off Eugene so easily.

[Eugene "Flash" Thompson]

Eugene nodded.

"I guess you're right. I was foolish once to go against the king. I will not question him again whether he's right or wrong. I don't have the power to do so." said Eugene.

Eugene shrugged.

"It's not like I could go anywhere. Even if somehow I escaped the palace, we're in a realm I've never been to. I could get myself hurt, lost, kidnapped or killed. Although even if we were on Earth it wouldn't matter. With this mark, I couldn't disappear anywhere. You'd find me, and punish me. There's no chance of freedom for me. At least not by escaping." said Eugene.

He nodded again listening to him.

"I understand. Do my work and follow your orders will keep me alive and you pleased. I do not wish a repeat of what happened today. As long as you try to give me some leeway. I'll do my best and I understand if you have to punish me because I didn't do it right after I learned it." said Eugene.

He knew he had no say in what his master did to him. But he didn't want to screw anything up.

"I am starting to respect you now. I apologize for how I treated you at first. You're just following the king's orders after all." said Eugene.

He nodded to him.

"Very well master." said Eugene.

He paused, curious about his duties.

"Do you have time to start teaching me? If there's something in particular you need for me to do regularly I'd rather learn it as soon as I can." said Eugene.

(ooc: was thinking maybe eventually their relationship goes from master/slave to kinda of master/servant type thing. like eugene earns enough favor with him to maybe get more freedoms like go to certain areas without guards or the other escorting him. i mean this might happen after a few weeks/months obviously but eugene is probably his first human servant. maybe he finds him worthy to serve him or amusing after all. or both. lol.)

(OCC: Yeah that sounds totally fine! Eventual toleration of each other definitely comes to mind. That sounds like a plan after like time passes)

"No one does. That is why he is king. But you are a slave, which makes your obedience even more important" The other carefully walked near to Eugene but not enough to make the young man nervous or worried. Just to show that the other was far more superior to him and was only doing this out of kindness "I will expect you to remember that"

"How very self-aware for you. That will definitely work for you in the long run. Humility is the best trait to have. Still as it is your duty to serve me, it is my duty to make sure you are protected. So it is not only because I do not want you to escape, it is for me to make sure no one comes to take you from this kingdom. One must be careful" The other patiently responded, a faint smile on his lips. Eugene was admittedly quite weak compared to him. And the other knew that. It amused him in some twisted way.

"As I said previously, you behave accordingly and I will respond in kind. You respect me, I shall give you my kindness and good mood" The other than gave a threatening sneer "Fail to behave and I will be forced to repeat my punishments. However, I doubt that, seeing that you are capable enough to learn proper manners"

The Other watched as the younger man apologized for his previous behavior. Promising to never do so again. The Other nodded, a good-mannered smile on his lips "You are forgiven, human. I appreciate that you are good on your word" He then nodded "I do have time. I am pleased to see that you are willing to learn so soon. Come" The other then walked to another part of the room, expecting that Eugene would follow him.
