Forced Circumstances

[Thomas Sebin(Disguise)]

(OCC: January 8th, late morning. Open for all, especially Mike and Ororo. Will add more characters of my own but here's just Tom for now)

Blending into the background from Loki's flying soldiers surrounding the area, Tom searched for the rumored rebellion. He heard word that Mike Stone was there. That, plus his poor mother's demise, caused Tom to force himself out of hiding and join forces. But he knew that finding them was dangerous not just to himself but to them. But he didn't call himself Disguise for nothing. He blended as trees, walls, even the ground sometimes. He snuck and eventually found a rather interesting looking location. He then looked to see if anybody was around him before running to the door. Looking around one last time, he finally revealed himself completely. He then with anxiousness, his hazel eyes turning a very prominent golden, knocked on the door. Constantly looking about, worried that someone might find him. Normally Tom was very calm and chill, but the chaos around him was dangerous. If he got in, his laidback nature would immediately come back. For he'd be safe. Hopefully

"Anybody here?" Tom asked, leaning against the door

[Detective Mike Stone]

(ooc: couldn't resist mike knocking him over. xD)

Mike heard voices as he walked out. He'd taken a break from training and he was sure Bruce was in the lab last he knew. Then again Bruce could sneak up behind him if he wanted and he wouldn't have a clue. Bruce was like a cat sometimes and he knew it was from Bruce being on the run so much. He focused on the voice recognizing it and froze seeing who it was.

"Tom!" said Mike.

He rushed forward hugging him knocking them both to the floor in his haste. Mike was too excited to see his friend to care about being embarrassed at the moment as he hugged him tightly.

"I thought you were gone. I thought I was all alone." whispered Mike.

He hadn't meant to cry but knowing one of his friends was still alive was wonderful. It was a mixture of happy and sad tears as he let go reluctantly.

"I'm sorry. I didn't meant to knock you to the floor. I was just so happy to see you. I didn't hurt you did I?" said Mike.

He paused looking up hearing chuckles as he realized he wasn't alone and blushed.

"Great. Now I'm not going to live this down." said Mike.

He paused hearing Peter's teasing and blushed again.

"It's not like that. This is Tom. He's my best friend and one of my neighbors. I thought he was dead but I'm glad I was wrong." said Mike.

Mike paused seeing Ben introduce himself and grinned.

"And we're glad you're here Ben. We've got a lot of mutants and super heroes here Tom. I have one too. I was going to tell you before all this craziness went down. I can turn invisible. I guess I should call myself Invisible Man but I have a feeling that's already taken." said Mike.

Ororo was walking through the complex having just gotten a snack from the kitchen. She heard voices and recognized one of them as Mike. She peeked in and saw Mike hugging a new arrival as she guessed they were friends. She chuckled drawing the attention as she walked out.

"Hello. I'm Ororo. Welcome to the Rebellion." said Ororo.

She chuckled at Peter's teasing and smiled as Mike introduction. He was very handsome and she realized she was glad to hear Mike and Tom weren't that close. She realized she was staring and blushed trying not to be too obvious. He probaby had a girlfriend and even if he didn't it might be too soon in case he'd lost anyone else. She decided to be friends for now and perhaps in time they could be more.

"Welcome Tom. Any friend of Mike's is definitely welcome here." said Ororo.

Peter was nervous as he walked around. He'd been adjusting to the suit and had even gotten a sample for Bruce and Tony to study. True to their word they didn't tell anyone else except Frigga. But if Frigga knew anything Tony hadn't told him yet. He paused hearing voices as he walked out amused seeing Mike on the floor with another guy.

"Be careful Mike. Bruce might get jealous seeing you in the arms of another guy." teased Peter.

He paused looking at Ororo's attention at Tom and smirked. Looks like the weather mutant was already crushing on their new arrival. He didn't say anything not wanting someone who could control the weather angry at him.

Ben walked out next seeing the group welcoming a new arrival.

"Hello. I'm Ben Grimm also known as The Thing. I'm sure you've heard of the Fantstic Four but I don't know if my teammates are alive right now. So I guess it's just the Fantastic One right now." said Ben.

Ben raised an eyebrow hearing Mike say he could turn invisible.

"Wow. I didn't know others could do that. That power may come in handy later." said Ben.

He heard a familiar voice. Mike WAS here! Tom was ecstatic only for Mike to force down the door and pile-drived him to the ground. Tom couldn't resist laughing. He hugged back tightly and was about to be sarcastic with Mike only to learn that Mike was really worried about him. Tom cut down on the sarcasm act for now and held Mike tightly "Hey, I'm not that fragile. I'm not going anywhere. Especially not without you" He then eventually got up and stretched his back. He said sarcastically "Oh no. I get this greeting all the time. Especially from dogs. I heard it's a term of endearment from other cultures" He then shook his head "All kidding aside, I'm fine" He then punched Mike on the arm "I thought you were dead, you son of a bitch. You worried me sick" He laughed to indicate he wasn't too worried.

He then listened as Mike introduced him as his best friend "Yeah, not just friend his BEST friend. I make sure this dork doesn't get overwhelmed and in return he makes sure I don't go off on rants against people I don't like but I need to deal with everyday" He beamed somewhat pridefully. He then responded "You guys are great though. I'm glad to be here" He then listened as Mike confessed something. That he wasn't completely normal but had powers too. He had the power to turn invisible. Tom's heart pounded in relief. He was meaning to tell Mike the exact same thing. That he too had powers. But because of rejection from his girlfriend, he was worried Mike would do the same. Tom responded with a shocked tone "Dude! I was going to tell you that I have powers! I have the ability to camouflage which is kind of like invisibility. But also blend other people in and other crazy stuff I do" His eyes glowed a rare tinge of purple. Purple meant he was being very prideful. "My eyes turn colors to represent how I feel, that's why I look down when I'm sad or upset because my eyes would turn different" He sighed "Sorry to have kept it from you man. It's just I was worried you'd be freaked out by me and, well, leave"

He then turned to see more people. Ben Grimm, Peter Parker and Ororo. Tom was awed by Ororo especially. Damn was she gorgeous. Tom wasn't really used to romance anymore ever since his previous girl left him. Yet he couldn't resist thinking about getting to know her. But he didn't know her situation and they just met. Best they stuck as friends first then hope for the very best. Tom immediately put on his game face and smiled sincerely for Ororo "Really nice to meet you. Ororo, that's a great name. I haven't heard of such a unique name. I think it suits you a lot, cause you seem very unique too" He beamed brightly for her.

He then turned to Ben and replied, immediately shaking his hand "Ben? As in the fantastic four ben? Dude I'm a huge fan of yours. Well I love your team but you're my favorite. I admire your work sir. You really are a great person for all you've done" Unlike Mike who tended to geek out, Tom was much more discrete. He and Mike had a lot of things in common. One habit included being fans over superheroes. Mike liked the hulk, Tom was a fan of the Thing. He then frowned shocked at the hearing of the rest of the fantastic four being gone "I'm so sorry sir. I really am"

He then turned to Peter and heard his snarky comment. He turned to Mike and responded, incredibly confused "Bruce? Bruce who?" He then widened his eyes "Mike. You're with Bruce Banner? Dude, you love him!"

[Detective Mike Stone]

Mike laughed glad his friend wasn't mad at him.

"I know that. I was just worried i hurt you." said Mike.

He glared at him and shoved at him playfully.

"Hey! Don't compare me to a dog." said Mike.

Mike winced as Tom punched him as Mike sighed.

"What about your folks or mine? Last time I saw dad we said some things. I don't even remember what we were fighting about. I said that I hated him and he didn't understand me. And now I just can't help think what if he's gone? What if that's the last thing I said to him?" said Mike.

Mike grinned as Tom spoke again.

"Hey. I'm not a dork. That's you. You're like a Fantastic Four junkie. Posters, action figures and things. Especially one of.."

He trailed off remembering Ben was here and blushed.

"What have you been up to?" asked Mike, trying to change the subject.

Mike grinned as Tom said he had powers.

"You can camouflage yourself? Man we should have been fighting crime or something together. With our similar powers we could have been a great team." said Mike.

He paused looking at him and laughed.

"I thought your eyes changed colors a lot. You would always something about contact lens, the lighting, or that I was imagining things. And I let it go. Because I didn't think you had any powers. But I'm glad you do." said Mike.

Mike then blushed as Tom asked if he was dating Bruce Banner and Peter confirmed it. Then Tom said he had loved Bruce.

"I was a fan of his Tom. I didn't love him then. I couldn't have. Because I didn't know him. But now I'm getting to know him." said Mike.

Ororo smiled seeing the banter between the two. If she didn't know any better she'd have thought they were brothers, but best friends could be that close. She'd seen it before many times at the mansion and even here. She was glad Peter was up and he seemed to have healed quicker than she thought in just a few days.

"I'm glad you are here Tom. Welcome to the Rebellion." said Ororo.

Ororo was pleased as Tom spoke about his powers.

"Camoflage and your eye color changing? Very unique powers. They could be useful." said Ororo.

She smiled at him and found herself blushing grateful for her dark skin as it hid it well when he complimented her.

"Thank you. No one's said that about my name before." said Ororo.

Peter chuckled listening to them banter and chat. He laughed as Mike said Tom was a big Fantastic Four fan and Tom confirmed it when he talked with Ben. When Tom asked who this Bruce was Peter spoke up and grinned.

"Yep. It's Bruce Banner. Those two make a great couple. Sometimes I wonder if they even notice anyone else is around when they're together." said Peter.

Ben watched amused as the two friends reunited. Then he chuckled watching how Tom and Ororo reacted to each other. Those two would be together sooner or later he figured. But he'd stay out of it not wanting to get anyone upset. He paused as Mike spoke about how big a fan Tom was of the Fantastic Four. Posters and action figures and then changed the subject making Ben curious to what Mike had stopped at. He grinned as Tom spoke to him.

"I'm glad to hear that. I didn't think I had many fans lately." said Ben.

He nodded.

"Reed, Sue, Johnny and my girlfriend Alicia went missing in the attacks. I don't know if they died when the Baxter Building fell. Or if they're Loki's prisoners. Or if they're out there somewhere. I don't know if I'll ever know for sure." said Ben.

(ooc: feel free to add anyone else to the thread. especially people you haven't used much or in awhile. xd)

"Relax, man. You're fine" Tom replied as Mike admitted to just not wanting to hurt him. He then laughed as Mike demanded to not compare him with a dog "Hey, they're wonderful creatures. Adorable guys most of the time" He then frowned deeply, his eyes a blue color as Mike asked about his parent or Mike's own. Tom took a while to answer, still feeling vulnerable about what happened. He took a deep breath before responding "Last I heard from the news, there were plenty of survivors. I didn't hear that your dad got in the fray and nobody declared someone by the name of "Stone" dead. My mom...."

He bent his head down, covering his face with a hand to prevent his friend from seeing his tears. He looked back, his eyes a deeper blue "My mom's dead, Mike. She was in the house the night at the attack. Huge fire went up and she didn't get out" He then looked out to the sky then he snarled, a deep rageful blood red in his eyes "If I find that Loki son of a bitch... I'll make him pay for what he did to her. That woman was the only family I ever had. I'll fucking kill him!" He then slammed the wall nearest to him with his fist.

"Dude! Not cool! Shush!" Tom said with great speed as Mike then declared his secret own dorkiness. "Okay, so maybe I'm not the most chill guy on the block but you're still a dork too, dude. That's why we fit so well as buddies" Tom said with a cheerful green. He then heard Mike thankfully change the subject "Well the attack really messed me up. My day job is pretty much kaput for now since the building is destroyed. My other job, the active domestic violence one, is on hold too since our area is pretty much crawling with disaster. So I'm here with you guys to get that son of a bitch for ruining pretty much our lives" He then beamed excitedly, his eyes turning into a joyful yellow as Mike declared they should've been a superhero team "The dynamic duo? Nah too obvious. The spies? Nah makes now sense. Crap, I'll work on our name. Man, we should've been doing this before this happened. Dangit" He then grinned cheerfully, his eyes resuming to his usual hazel and nodded as mike remembered about his previous excuses for his eye color changes. He then rolled his eyes as Mike got technical with him "Yeah yeah yeah, it takes more to love someone blah blah. Dude you're with Bruce freakin' banner!"

Then his attention came to the others. He then got prideful, as his purple eyes showed, as Ororo welcomed him. And praised his powers "Well I don't mean to brag so you bragging for me really helps my situation out" He laughed, his purple eyes gone quickly and instead replaced with a pink color for flattery/embarrassment "Just kidding, thank you for your compliments" He then smiled as Ororo was flattered by him. He replied "Hey maybe they should, it's a honest truth. A beautiful name I think"... For a beautiful lady He added but didn't want to say it.

"That's a good question Mr. Parker. Or is it just peter? Anyway, yeah mike, do you notice?" He grinned mischeviously and his tone was teasing as he looked at Mike again after Parker's comment. He then paid attention to Ben, beaming child-like at him with awe "Are you kidding? Who wouldn't be a fan of you? You're like one of the most, the most awesome, badass, brave, responsible, heroic people around here" He then sighed sadly as Ben explained it wasn't known what the fate of the rest of them were. He didn't know himself and he wished he would to comfort his hero. "I'm truly sorry sir. I wish they're all okay or not in Loki's hands. I hope Alicia is especially, for your sake"

Then he was greeted by Volstagg, who was rather boastful and action-packed in his greeting. He had his hand shook and his arm was practically sore from the other shaking it so persistently. Tom rubbed his arm and laughed at the other "Nice to meet you Volstagg. I'm Tom"

"Ah what's with the ruckus? Have we a new guest?" Volstagg popped in and then he saw Mike talking about Tom. "Any friend of Mike's is a friend of mine" He grabbed Tom's hand and shook it hard and when he let go he replied "I am Volstagg. A pleasure to meet you, friend. A very welcome sight to see you!"

[Ororo Munroe]

Mike relaxed a little.

"You're really ok?" asked Mike.

Mike pouted as he spoke.

"I'm not adorable." said Mike.

He paused as Tom said he wasn't sure about Mike's folks but his mother was dead. Mike pulled him into a hug forgetting everyone else was there as he held him too tight.

"You still have me. You were my brother in everything but blood. As long as we have each other we'll never be alone." said Mike.

He felt a pang in chest as he cried viewing Tom's mother like a second mother and she was really gone. But Tom was the one who was really hurting.

"I can't believe she's gone. It was bad enough that bastard destroyed the world. I guess the only thing that makes me happy is that she's not out there somewhere starving or suffering. She's at peace now. We'll see her again one day and in the meantime we'll avenge her." said Mike.

Mike paused as Tom punched the wall as Mike looked at him concerned. He smiled as Ororo brought him some ice for his hand as Mike put it on him.

"She wouldn't want you to get this angry about it. It could take months or years to stop Loki. Grieve for her. Remember her. But don't let revenge consume you ok? I don't want to lose you too." said Mike.

Mike chuckled as Tom spoke.

"I suppose so. But you're the bigger dork." said Mike.

Mike smirked.

"I doubt any of us are returning to our day jobs. We'll probably have to rebuild society practically from scratch once we take over. I'm glad you're here though." said Mike.

Mike chuckled.

"Well I'm not sure about a team name but I guess I'd be Invisible Man. Unless there's another one out there I haven't heard of. Maybe I should pick something else so I don't feel like I'm copying Invisible Woman. You should think of something for your name." said Mike.

Mike grinned.

"I know. I didn't even think I'd get to meet him. I mean I guess I practicaly had a Hulk shrine dedicated to him. And I'm sad it's all gone but now I've got the real thing." said Mike.

Mike chuckled at Ororo's question.

"Yep. He's like a living mood ring. I suppose it's probably really awkward on dates." said Mike.

Mike blushed at Peter's comment and then Tom started teasing him as well.

"I guess I do focus on him a lot." said Mike.

He frowned seeing a lot of them smile and chuckle.

"What is this pick on Mike day?" asked Mike annoyed.

He grinned seeing Volstagg.

"Tom this is my friend Volstagg. He and Fandrall well they're my trainers and we got really close. They're like the older brothers I never had." said Mike.

He paused realizing he'd just admitted that out loud for the first time and blushed. He turned to Volstagg and smiled.

"It's true. You guys trained me and helped me adjust. Plus I've seen the way you guys gave threatening looks to Bruce before." said Mike.

(ooc: hope you don't mind. but i figure mike's slowly developping a brotherly type relationship with fandrall & volstagg. while tom is practically his best friend/brother the other two are like older brothers he respects and loves.)

Ben's grin faded as he saw the reunion turn sad as Tom mentioned his mother's death. When Mike tried to calm him down with hugging it didn't stop Tom from punching the wall. He nodded as Mike spoke.

"He's right Tom. Believe me I should know. I was so angry I flipped out on Loki's mother and almost hurt her. The others stopped me and I regret my actions. Loki will pay for his crimes one day but I've learned revenge isn't the answer. The best revenge I see is living our lives while trying to stop him. If he become obsessed with revenge then even if we kill him or stop him we've wasted months or years of our lives. And then we have nothing to show for it. And it might be hard to let go of that rage and bitterness once he's gone. Loki going to jail or dying won't change how we feel. Or undo the damage he's done like bringing back the loved ones and the rest of the people who are gone." said Ben.

Ben nodded.

"I don't know for sure about them one way or the other. Like most people here. You got one thing many of us don't have. Closure. Like Mike said she's in a better place and isn't out there suffering. But just know we're all here if you need us." said Ben.

Ben grinned at Tom's compliments.

"Thank you Tom. For awhile I just figured people just me as the dumb muscle or the mascot as Johnny first called me. It's nice to know I do have fans still. Especially here." said Tom.

Ororo grabbed some ice and a bag bringing it to Tom after seeing him a punch a wall. She felt bad for him hearing his mother was dead. This woman was a mother figure to Mike making the loss doubly sad.

"Ben is right. Revenge will not solve anything. Live your life and try to be happy. It's the best revenge you can ever have on him. Staying angry and obsessed at him gives him all the power and he doesn't deserve that." said Ororo.

Ororo grinned at him.

"Your welcome. Your eyes are most curious. Do they really change color with your moods?" asked Ororo.

Ororo chuckled at Mike's joke and found herself blushing slightly as Tom said her name was beautiful.

"Thank you." said Ororo.

Ororo laughed hearing them bicker as she could tell how close Tom and Mike were. And the rest of them were having fun like they'd known each other for years. This had really brought all of them close.

Peter frowned feeling bad for Tom.

"I'm sorry you're going through so much. My parents died when I was a baby so I don't remember them. I was raised by my aunt and uncle. My uncle died a few months ago and a few days ago I found out my aunt died in the attacks. So you're not the only one who's lost people here. But Mike and Ben are right. I would rather Aunt May be dead where she can be at peace. Than out there suffering with me unable to find her." said Peter.

Peter watched Ororo give Tom some ice and smiled at him.

"It's Peter. I guess you should probably know since everyone else here does. I'm Spider-man. My secret identity is pretty much non existent now." said Peter.

Peter snorted at Mike's comment.

"No that's every day. But we could make it a national holiday." said Peter.

Peter grinned as Volstagg showed up. He always did make things entertaining.

[Patrick Wallen(Maniac)]

(OCC: Couldn't help but introduce Patrick here too. Makes things easier I guess haha. Couldn't help but also make Patrick and Tom have a little rivalry. And no I don't mind that mike sees the two asgardians as older brothers)

"I'm sure. Just as sure as I am about you being adorable" Tom teased, smirking at the fact his best friend was pouting like a child. But his sadness returned as he was embraced by mike, comforting him with the fact the two were like brothers. At that comment, Tom hugged tightly and pressed his face in mike's shoulder, struggling to compose himself. He sniffed, trying not to cry but ended up crying more than Mike "I know, I know. I still have you and that's what matters. You are my brother, Mike. At least Loki didn't take you" Yet he still felt the rage enough to punch the wall. And saw Ororo give him a ice pack, he took it with a grateful smile. He listened to Mike's assurances and hugged mike again afterwards "You're damn right we will. We'll make him pay for all our families. Not just mine"

He then listened to Ororo, Peter and Ben give him pretty solid advice that revenge wasn't necessarily going to bring his mother back. Plus it wouldn't do any good to begin with. That the best way was to bring justice and not go hellbent on it. To just live his life. That it was best she was at peace. Tom secretly kept to himself that he definitely was still determined for some sort of revenge but hearing Mike tell him to not obsess over it made Tom realize he had to not get too cocky. He still wanted revenge but he wasn't going to tell anyone that. Yet he would calm down enough to not go overboard with it. The red coloring in his eyes stayed but it was a lighter color now "I appreciate your words, everyone. You're all right. Thank you all. I.. I don't like hearing it but you're right. I can't really change it now no matter what I do" He allowed mike to help press his hand and he replied to Ororo "Thanks for the ice by the way. It helps"

"Rebuilding society does sound hard but I've been wanting to change the way people think for a while. Hence the activism. We'll work it out with time I hope" Tom replied to Mike's comment. He then smirked at the name suggestions Mike had for himself and replied "I already have one for myself. Disguise. Has a nice ring to it huh?" He then gave a shocked expression when Mike told him the shrine was gone "Hey I kept telling you that it wouldn't last forever but damn... that thing was huge. Rest in peace, Mike's shrine. But hey like you said, the real thing is the best thing"

He laughed as Mike called him a dork. He then listened more as he and Ororo called out on his eye coloration, and laughed at Mike's mood ring comment "Oh you have no idea. I would sometimes lie to others that I wear these mood ring contacts and they always buy it, thank god" He then snorted as Peter and Mike and him talked about teasing him "National Make Fun Of Mike Stone Day! I declare that holiday is in session" He then hi-fived himself with a laugh.

He then turned to Ororo with a soft reply "But like Mike said, yeah it's very much like a mood ring. My eyes change colors to ANY emotion I'm feeling. Could be pink, gold, brown, orange, whatever my mood is. If it's just a undetected mood it's always hazel" He shrugged at that. He then gave a prideful purple to prove his point, grinning as she seemed impressed by it. He then nodded towards peter and then towards ben. He then gave a genuinely shocked expression as Ben told him he always felt like a mascot, his eyes a lime green "Storm doesn't know what he's talking about when it comes to you. You saved him from a bunch of butt whooping since he has that big mouth"

Then to Volstagg he laughed "Overprotective, huh? Hey I know the feeling. Once there was..." He then turned to see Patrick immediately steal the scene. Tom, not very used to such confidence, gave a suspicious look immediately, his eyes a dark suspicious bronze "And who are you supposed to be, Mr. Social?" He then had a jealous dark green as Patrick was really friendly with Mike. He snapped "Hey, let's ease up on the hugging, Pat"

He smirked as Patrick got annoyed with him calling him pat "Whatever you say, Pat. Anything for a new friend. Name's Tom" He then frowned annoyedly as Patrick called him Tommy Boy "Don't call me tommy boy" When Patrick snapped back, Tom suspiciously went over and the two stared with cautious icy blue eyes.

As Patrick threatened him, Tom smirked "Oh I think you should make a exception" When Volstagg and Mike separated them, Tom snapped as Patrick teased him "Piss off, Pat"

"And you my boy, are like the younger brother we wished we had. Fandral would've dropped by but he's working a bit with his mighty sword. A pleasure to see you, Tom. Truly a honor" Volstagg replied. Then he turned to listen to mike call him and fandral out for making some glances towards Bruce. Volstagg gave a rather defensive look "It is just we both know that you are a good young man, and we want to make sure Banner knows that too"

Volstagg then saw Patrick come by and get very friendly with him and Mike. Tom didn't seem happy but Volstagg was very similar and beamed. "Ah! Welcome new friend! It is nice to have more allies on our side. You seem like quite the worthy chap" He then nodded as Tom asked Patrick for his name "I must agree, who are you exactly?" He saw Patrick and Tom's eyes change color and laughed proudly "My oh my, we seem to have two people with a similar power!"

He then saw that the two were ready to start a little rivalry and Volstagg knew just what to do. He pulled the two apart and replied "Say Patrick, my boy, why don't we get you settled in huh?" He turned to Mike, hoping he'd pull Tom away.

Patrick waltzed in with ease, having a distinctly good feeling about this place. He looked a bit and gave a determined nod, giving a final say to come here. Eager to meet new people, he had a cheerful sunshine yellow eye color and walked waiting for everyone to stop talking. After a small while, Patrick came in on Volstagg and Mike, pulling them in for a friendly hug "Hey folks, how you doing? I'm here for the rebellion. Seems like this is the right place. You guys seem fun, I've been looking forward to meeting everybody here. Let the good times roll yeah? I'm ready to kick some major league ass!" He then saw Tom get a bit suspicious but Patrick paid no mind to it at all. He turned to mike, deliberately ignoring the fact Tom had the same type of eye coloration he did, shaking his hand "Name's Patrick. Patrick Wallen. Maniac in the band world. Nice to meet all of you" As he said his last sentence, he turned to everyone around the area. He then gave mike a good-natured hug which annoyed Tom.

Then Tom called him Pat, Patrick immediately frowned. Remembering that the boys that bullied him would always make fun of his name by either calling him Pat or Patty. He gave a harsh, almost cold chuckle and replied "Hey, buddy, don't call me Pat alright?" His eyes became a annoyed bronze as Tom ignored his request but gave a almost evil look when he heard Tom's name. He gave a very sarcastic, almost rude cheerful tone as he said "Good to meet you Tommy boy, how's life?" When Tom demanded him to not call him Tommy Boy, the smile became even more nasty "Then don't call me pat, Tommy boy. Or should I say, punk" At that the two stared harshly at each other with icy blue eyes

"Yo, punk, ya'll better get out of my face. I just got here and I sure as hell don't want to make any enemies" Patrick saw Tom's eyes even icier, Patrick knew he was not going to move. Patrick chuckled, his eyes a icy blue still "But I'm willing to make exceptions if you want me too" When Volstagg and Mike separated them, Patrick winked "Call you later Tommy Boy"

When separated he turned to the others and gave a sincere look, almost apologetically

[Detective Mike Stone]

Mike glared at him.

"I'm not adorable." repeated Mike.

Mike held Tom close as they both had needed that comfort.

"I'm glad he didn't take you either. I didn't realize how lost and lonely I felt until you came here. Having Volstagg, Fandrall and Bruce helped some. But it wasn't the same. Not without you. My best friend. My brother." said Mike.

Mike smiled at him.

"I don't know what to do with him. He's escaped prisons before. And yet sometimes I wonder if killing would be too good for him. He's destroyed the world. Thousands are dead, homeless, injured and worse. Some of them are families and friends. Maybe locking him up in a prison somewhere would be better. Somewhere we could control as the Asgardians clearly didn't do a good job." said Mike.

He paused glancing at Volstagg.

"No offense of course. Although if the Asgardians couldn't hold him I don't know much hope we'd have. Especially with most of our technology destroyed or stolen by this point." said Mike.

Mike turned to Tom.

"I guess with the rebuilding we can make the world better than it used to be. Although depending on how badly damaged some countries are in we may not be able to grow crops there. We need to find a way to repair the soil as well. It may take a few years but the less fertile ground we have to grow things the worse off everyone's going to be." said Mike.

He grinned at Tom's new name.

"Disguise huh? Not bad. I guess I could always go with Specter. Ghosts are invisible. Although I can't go through walls. Maybe it's misleading." said Mike.

He sighed.

"I know. But I loved that shrine. It doesn't compare to the real thing. But I wish I could have shown it to him." said Mike.

Mike shook his head.

"Not a week." said Mike, glaring at Peter and Tom who kept teasing him.

Mike grinned at Volstagg.

"The honor's all mine. The fact you even trained me to be a temporarly memeber of the Warriors Three means a lot." said Mike.

He chuckled at Volstagg's word.

"I appreciate that you care but I can take care of myself you know. If things go badly or not it should between us. Not everyone." said Mike.

He is surprised as Patrick hugs him and he returns it.

"Welcome." said Mike.

He then helped Volstagg and Ben split Tom and Patrick up after they starting fighting.

"Hey Tom. Come on. Let's not fight. Ben's right. We're on the same side here right?" said Mike.

Ororo smiled at Tom.

"Good. Blind revenge isn't the answer. We all want justice but getting ourselves hurt or killed to get it helps no one. We'd just add to the list of Loki's victims." said Ororo.

She smiled.

"Your welcome. It's a shame none of us have healing powers. That would come in handy during this war." said Ororo.

She frowned at Mike's words.

"You have a point. This war could take years and it will do no good if we win only to die out from starvation. We don't know the numbers of people we have left to feed. And the food would only go so far." said Ororo.

Ororo chuckled.

"Mood ring contacts? Clever." said Ororo.

She looked unsure as Patrick arrived and they started fightnig. But Ben, Volstagg and Mike had it handled as she shook her head. She knew just some people couldn't get along but Ben was right. They couldn't win if they were too busy fighting each other.

"This may be a problem but we still have time to fix it. While it's true some are going hungry out there we still have a chance to turn this around. Even if it takes awhile." said Peter.

He chuckled.

"Yes. Or we could make it a weeklong event. Like Spring Break." said Peter.

Peter remained quiet seeing the two talk not sure what to say or do. Ben seemed to have things handled.

All this save the earth stuff went over his head. But he did understand food shortage could be a problem.

"Then we should work on this in our spare time. We don't know how many scientists are still alive out there. Or how many have access to equipment for it either." said Ben.

Ben grinned at Tom.

"Yeah. He was kidding mostly. We were only learning about our powers back then. But I'm really glad to have fans like you." said Ben.

He then saw Patrick and Tom start fighting as he helped Volstagg and Mike separate Tom and Patrick.

"Okay break it up you two. We can't be fighting each other or we'll never win." said Ben.

[Thomas Sebin(Disguise)]

"Yeah you are" Tom laughed as Mike pouted more when being called adorable. He then hugged Mike as the other claimed that things weren't the same without Tom. That he was a best friend and a brother to him. Mike and Tom were indeed peas in a pod some of the time. Tom then replied "I'm not going anywhere without you" He then turned to Ororo who praised him for his attitude towards revenge "You're right. You're very intelligent Ororo" He meant that. She was a very intelligent, kind and pretty lady. He really liked her but no way was she interested in him, right? He then beamed as he was called clever about his eye color changes "Yeah, that's why I call them mood eyes most of the time"

He then nodded about all the drama about the war and Loki. He then growled at the fact it'd be hard to imprison him "He deserves to be in bars and think about what's he's done" He snarled again, before being calmed down by the chit-chat of teasing Mike. He chuckled "Mike's right peter, not a week. A whole month" He laughed again. He then shrugged about changing the world "Well it'll take a while, but we'll get there" He then turned to ben with a big grin "Oh it's not a problem, man. I love your work, anybody with a brain would" He then shrugged at the name Mike suggested "Disguise is a bit more subtle"

"Well, I'm sure if bruce is as nice as I think he is, he doesn't really care if it makes you feel better" Tom replied about Mike's shrine. He sneered at Patrick as he made a small comment but ignored it for the sake of his best friend, his idol and his crush being here. He mumbled under his breath "Arrogant dickhead" Before turning to Ororo, Ben and Mike in disappointment "I'm sorry. Don't know what came over me"

Patrick was glad Mike was friendly and responsive, but was annoyed to see Tom was his friend. How could anyone be friends with such a sensitive idiot? That was something he'd never be sure about. Patrick was pulled away by Volstagg and Ben while Mike handled tom. Patrick then shrugged, apologetically "Sorry folks. Didn't mean to annoy Tommy boy over there" He shrugged to Volstagg "It's not my fault the guy's sensitive" He then turned to Peter and turned to him "Hey man, you look familiar. Aren't you one of those photographers for the news?"

"None taken. Even I can admit our prisons are not as strong as they once were" Volstagg replied when it came to punishing loki. He then beamed as Mike said he was glad to be trained under them "You are worthy for the title, my boy. Very worthy of it" He then beamed and hugged the boy gently replying "I understand but I cannot help myself. It's the instinct in me to keep an eye out for you" He then pulled Patrick away from Tom and replied "Take it easy friend. Take it easy" He then replied to Patrick's comment "Tom is a different personality. Not sensitive"

[Detective Mike Stone]

Mike smiled hugging his best friend.

"I never realized how much I really missed you until you showed up. These guys are great but you're all I could have left of my family. I can't lose you again. So promise me you'll be stay safe in this war." said Mike.

Mike frowned glancing at Tom and Peter.

"Not fair. You two are ganging up on me." said Mike.

When Peter messed up his hair Mike pouted again.

"Hey!" said Mike.

Mike snickered.

"Since when have you been subtle?" teased Mike.

He then smiled at him.

"Disguise sounds good to me." said Mike.

Mike sighed.

"Unfortunately it's gone. But now I have the real thing." said Mike.

He paused grinning whispering to Tom.

"Forget about him. You've here with your best friend and a hot woman who's interested in you. You and Storm could make a good couple if you want to." whispered Mike.

He turned to Volstagg and grinned.

"Training with one Asgardian warrior would be honor enough but I get the priviledge of two with you and Fandrall. I'm doubly honored and I hope I can improve quickly." said Mike.

Mike grinned as Volstagg hugged him.

"I know but I'm glad to have you looking out for me." said Mike.

She grinned.

She smiled as he apologized to the group.

"It's ok. Some people just get on each other's nerves. It happened a lot at the mansion and will probably happen a lot here too." said Ororo.

"It's just cause you're a loveable dork but you're our lovable dork." said Peter, messing up his hair.

Peter relaxed glad things were calm again and looked over at Patrick.

He nodded as Tom apologized after they stopped trying to fight.

"Ororo's right. Johnny and I got into fights quite a lot but that didn't mean I didn't care for the fiery idiot. Or know when to back off." said Ben.

Tom softly smiled, hugging Mike a little before replying "I promise, Mike. Where you go I go. I won't let you down and won't let you get hurt" Tom smiled, relieved his best friend was here. Tom laughed as Mike complained about being ganged up on and laughed even harder when Peter messed up his hair. He then turned to see Patrick talk to them but was distracted by both Ororo and Mike. When Mike assured him about having a hot woman attracted to him, Tom couldn't help but blush and turned to mike. He harshly whispered "She's right there. Don't cramp my style. Just act cool for me for god sake" He then smiled again to Ororo and replied "Oh it did? You had a mansion? That's incredible!"

Patrick ignored Tom for the moment and turned to the others. He grinned to Peter who confirmed his suspicions. He replied with a soft smile "I remember. You were taking news pictures for my first gig. Didn't get to talk to you guys but I saw the article about me. It was sick. Loved your pictures" He turned to see people talk to Tom a bit more. But for the sake of avoiding confrontation, he turned to Peter again and replied "I also some of your spider man pictures. How you manage to get him so well is beyond me"

Volstagg meanwhile focused on Mike entirely and beamed a little "With the spirit you have, you will my boy. Out of all the people I trained, you are without a doubt the most determined" He patted Mike's back and replied to him with a solemn voice "Of course. I will always keep an eye out for you. Someone has to make sure my young warrior is taken care of. Fandral surely won't be able to do that. He's too distracted by himself" He chuckled with amusement

[Detective Mike Stone]

Mike grinned.

"Good. I almost lost you once. I don't want to go through that again." said Mike.

Mike chuckled.

"Wouldn't you have to act cool in the first place? Wouldn't want to outdo you." teased Mike.

He watched in amusement as Tom s tarted talking to Ororo.

He turned to Volstagg and grinned.

"I hope so." said Mike.

He frowned as Volstagg said someone had to keep an eye for him as it just brought back the reminder his parents were gone.

"I always thought they'd be there. Mom and Dad. And now they're.... I just never thought I'd be alone." whispered Mike.

He was surprised as Ben wrapped him into a hug. He was blushing but touched at Ben's kindness.

"And already I can tell you're one of the kindest people in the world. And those who never looked past your appearance will regret not getting to know what a softie you are." said Mike.

Ben watched amused as the teasing begun before it began drifting off to separate conversations. When he over heard Mike talking to Volstagg the rock giant gave the surprised boy a hug.

"You are never alone kid. All of us have lost some body here. They're missing. Maybe even dead. We kind of have to be a new family for each other. No one should have to feel alone." said Ben.

He blushed a little at Mike's compliment before realizing he called him a softie.

"I'm not a softie." said Ben.

He paused with a chuckle.

"Well maybe I am. Before the Fantastic Four I never really had a family. And Reed, Sue, Alicia and Johnny are gone maybe dead. But I won't go back to being the loner I used to be. Going to keep them alive in here just in case they aren'te alive anymore." said Ben.

"Yeah. I did take pictures. Of course I guess I had an unfair advantage. I was mostly taking pictures of myself. I am technically Spider-man. Hard to keep that a secret with universal war and possibly the end of the world." said Peter.

Peter smiled though.

"It's nice to have a fan of my photography work though. Most people just hear I'm spider-man and are like that's awesome. But it's nice to be appreicated for being Peter Parker too." said Peter.

"Yes. It was a big mansion. Although now it's probably just pebbles and dust by now." said Ororo.

She then out a sigh.

"My home is gone. I never thought it would be destroyed. I'm grateful Tony and the others created this safe haven or we might all be dead or slaves." said Ororo.

Tom couldn't help but sadly smile at Mike's sincere response to him "You won't man. I promise" Before laughing a little at his teasing before mumbling to him "Hardy har. I'm asking for your help, man. She's literally right here" Before desperately trying to save himself before ororo, trying not to fall apart before her. He then frowned a little about her sadness about the mansion and how their lives were now ruined thanks to Loki. He held her hand gently and replied "We'll make him pay for what he's done to your home. He's got a lot to answer for. I promise" He then smiled to Ben and nodded to what he was saying and replied "You're a incredible person Mr. Grimm. You're a hero and you deserve all the praise you can get"

Volstagg was about to say something about mike's comments about his parents before Ben did and Volstagg couldn't help but smile. He patted Mike's shoulder before nodding "The man is right. None of us are alone here. We are, as the earth people say, a team. We stick together and we will be together until the end. We are like a band of brothers and sisters. We have become a little family" He then patted tom and ororo before giving a huzzah

Patrick meanwhile was focused on Peter. He then nodded about Peter admitting he himself was spider man "I knew it. No way those pictures could be that good without spider-man himself taking them. My friend said it wasn't you and that spider man paid a different guy but I had a hunch spider man and the guy taking the pics were the same guy" He then patted Peter's shoulder and replied "Dude are you kidding? I mean of course I love spider man but I wanted to find you for a while. I really like your style. Your photography is amazing. If it weren't for this apocalypse I would've hired you for my website or something"

[Detective Mike Stone]

Mike nodded.

"You'd better not." said Mike.

He chuckled.

"Should probably let her decide what she wants to do. As you said she's right here." said Mike.

He turned to Ororo and smiled.

"Because we are brothers in everything but blood and he's my best friend." said Mike.

Tom smiled back at mike before nodding to his advise to let ororo decide. Tom couldn't help but realize that mike had a point. Tom beamed at being called mike's brother in bond and best friend. He then agreed with mike's final statement which was a agreement to volstagg's statement that they were like family "You're damn right we're a family. And we all gotta stick together. Especially during a bad situation like this" He then held mike close before turning to ben and frowning sadly as ben expressed worry over johnny "If he's awesome like you he should be fine sir"

Patrick smiled at the humility peter presented "Dude they're great the angles and clearness of them are pretty perfect. I mean nobody can get the quality you put in nowadays" Patrick patted his shoulder and smiled before nodding to him "Look man I see it how I see it. And it's real good" He then replied, feeling like he wished to get to know peter more "So is it like hard to be a photographer and spider man at the same time?"

"There's always hope for you Mr. Ben!" Volstagg encouraged not long after ororo said something. He then turned and nodded to them "Indeed. Not just what he did to earth but also to asgard. He has many, many crimes to answer to" Volstagg was worried himself. Particularly for hogun and sif. Ymir knew where they were. He hoped either safe or at least wandering about somewhere away from Loki. Enslavement or death was the worst case scenario

[Detective Mike Stone]

Mike smiled at him.

"I got my brother and best friend back." said Mike.

Tom was his brother in everything but blood so he was glad to have him here. It made this war feel a little less aweful. Now if only his parents and Tom's family would show up things would be a lot better. He grinned seeing Ororo and Tom getting closer.

"It's about time." thought Mike.

"The kid always thinks he's awesome no matter what the rest of us said. I just hope he and the others are alright. I never thought I'd miss him, annoying quirks and all until he wasn't around. And Alicia, Sue and Reed." said Ben.

"I hope so. I want them to all be safe and out there somewhere. But I'm sure we all do. But the longer it takes to find them the less liikely they'll be alive." said Ben.

"Well it was. Now I don't there's time to be a photographer these days. It's mostl likely going to be Spider-man full time with this war going on. And I doubt secret identities will exist anymore. All my enemies will know who I am. I'll have to like join the Avengers or go into hiding or something. And keep my friends and family safe or relocate them." Said Peter.

The two were friends for years and the fact mike accepted him regardless was proof that mike was truly his best friend. Tom then turned to ben and smiled a bit replying "I'm sure they're on their way here or somewhere safe. I certainly am rooting for them for you, sir" He then turned to ororo, his blush slightly evident as she got closer. Be cool dude. Be cool He thought to himself. He then replied "Well um, I used to work for a law firm because I really was interested in crime investigation. I also am a activist. I.. well, I like video games" He blushed feeling stupider as he spoke. He then replied, wanting not to be totally dumb "What about you? What do you like to do?"

"No worries man. I wouldn't say it if I didn't mean it" Patrick replied, he liked the kid. He liked the kid and how he was. He seemed like a nice friendly person and it was no wonder he was a vigilante. He seemed to care a lot about people. He then nodded as peter explained that in this new world people would now know who he was and come for him. Patrick replied "Listen. This may be a bit of me being too egotistical. But I got a demon side, that's why I'm here by the way, cause I got powers the rebellion can use. If you need me for help with any of your enemies I can hook you up if you need my help" He then replied "Sure you'll probably join the avengers but in case you need more help on the side, I can get your back"

Volstagg slowly stopped talking and decided to just listen. He nodded empathetically at ben's words. He felt bad for him being here by himself but he didn't know what else to say that others haven't said already. So he just smiled in understanding and sympathy

Mike watched amused at Tom and Ororo with a grin. He paused pulling out his phone trying to subtely record the two. Mike watched as th ey bonded over video games of all things. He hadn't expect that. He then chuckled as she was concerned with his skin getting redder.

"He's been bitten by the lovebug that's what happened." whispered Mike.'

"So you worked for a law firm? Where you an intern or a volunteer?" asked Ororo, curious.

She smiled as he said he was an activist.

"That's good. I am one myself I suppose for mutant rights." said Ororo.

She chuckled.

"Who wouldn't like video games? I've played quite a few myself although not anything recentely. Being a teacher at a school you don't often get much time to do fun things as I'd like." said Ororo.

She shrugged.

"Dancing, flying. Movies when I have the time." said Ororo.

She paused seeing how red Tom was getting.

"Are you alright? You're skin's getting a bit red." said Ororo.

"Thank you though. Even the Daily Planet and Jonah I think only takes them so I don't go to another newspaper. I did to help pay the bills but I do love photography. It just got sidetracked with the super hero stuff." said Peter.
