Not Just An Ordinary Day (Arion, Richard, Loki)

Evan whimpered softly as the spell seemed to fade. He looked at them as their words were finally getting through. Tears were in his eyes as he hugged them all. He winced though looking at his cut wrists realizing he'd cut himself again.

"I did it again. I'm pathetic. Just like Laufey and Jack always said I was." said Evan.

He paused looking up at the three of them tears in his eyes.

"I don't deserve any of you. Not your friendship or your love. I'm nothing." said Evan.

He tried to stand up and run but tripped falling into Richard's arms. He blushed as he found himself staring up at him.

"You never failed me. I'm the one who failed. I'm not worthy of you Richard. You really are the perfect guy. I love you but maybe I should just let you go. You don't deserve this. None of you do. A broken brother. A broken friend. A broken boyfriend. You deserve someone normal. I don't don't deserve love or happiness. It was always taken away from me so why should now be any different?" said Evan.

He was bitter and hurt. Sure he was lashing out but he needed the three of them now more than ever. And yet he kept trying to push them away because even now he feared they'd one day leave him. So it was better to get it over with in his opinion. He paused trying to resist the impulse and failing as he pulled Richard into a kiss. And it was so wonderful he almost forgot the pain he was in. He paused standing up pushing Richard away.

"No. I'm going to do what I did years ago. Leave. Grab my clothes and things and go back to Earth. I don't belong here. I don't belong anywhere." said Evan.

He paused turning to Loki.

"I'm sorry I cause you so much trouble. Maybe it would have better if we'd never met." said Evan.

Evan conjured a pair of jeans and a pair of tennis shoes onto his body in a flash. He stumbled out of the room trying to run. He was going to go back to Earth. That was where he belonged. Alone and unloved. He didn't have the right to ask Arion, Loki, or Richard to care about him. They would leave him one day or die like his mother. He didn't want either ot happen.

(ooc: feel free to stop him. He's still hurt, and afraid of getting hurt by all three of them. xd)

(OCC: Yeah. Poor Evan. He's gone bananas a tad but that's understandable)

"Those were illusions and nothing more, Evan. We don't think you're pathetic. We want to help you!" Arion insisted, really relieved that Evan started speaking instead of being in a fetal position. He then saw Evan get really upset and try to push them all away but not out of anger, but of frustration within himself. Arion had no idea how bad Evan's esteem was. But now that he did, Arion was going to do anything in his power to help. "You're not broken evan. You're hurt and that is normal for anyone to handle. You've handled far more than anyone can and still are breathing and in one piece. That's something many people cannot do. You deserve to be happy and care about yourself" Arion said, tone soft but persistent. He then saw that his wrists were bleeding and turned to Loki, the king saying he would fix this easily and thankfully the cuts weren't too deep. He then saw Evan and Richard talk then Evan ran off. Arion was wordless, and turned to richard "Let's get him, Richard. He's not going anywhere if I have anything to say about it! Evan, come back!" He then ran off and caught up with him and deliberately blocked evan's path, holding him long enough to see Loki and Richard persist in Evan to stay.

"See how much you mean to us, friend. You are going to hurt us by leaving rather than staying. Just let us help you" Arion insisted

"Brother, please. Stop this talk. Look at your wrists and you're hurting yourself by not allowing us to help you. You are injured and I will not allow you to harm yourself anymore. I care about you Evan, believe me" Loki then saw Evan rant about he didn't deserve all three of them and that he was going to be hurt anyway so why bother. He then saw him and Richard talking and in the end kissing, before evan eventually pulled away and ran off. Just then two nurses showed up and Loki gave them a "well it's about damn time" look before saying "The two of you stay here. I need to get prince evan" The nurses quickly stayed put as all three men went over to get him back. He then saw Arion and evan together and Loki said, trying his best to not snap at his brother for being so stubborn "No, evan. It wouldn't be better if you didn't meet me. Meeting you made me realize that kindness is not weakness. That caring for others is important. That I have a responsibility to my people and to my family. You made me realize far more about my problems than I should allow and that is important to me" He then saw Richard and responded to Evan "Look at Richard evan, do you see how much this man loves you? That he would do anything for you? How can someone, as you claim, undeserving of love receive so much? The answer is because you are indeed incredibly deserving and you have far more good traits than bad"

Loki allowed Richard to be close to him but Loki responded softly "It's time for you to stop pushing yourself so hard. All I ask from you is to allow me to be your brother and give me a chance to show you how important you are to my kingdom and to me" He then saw richard and smiled "And to other people"

"No. You're not pathetic Evan. I am. Look at me. Blubbering over this like some stupid teenager when I should be more helpful" Richard said, harshly wiping away his tears. His eyes were somewhat glassy and red thanks to the crying, his face completely tear-stricken and rosey because of his harsh breathing, and his heart was pounding out of his chest out of both panic and concern. He felt so stupid. He wasn't the one who was supposed to panic. He was supposed to support evan who was the one panicking. Some friend... and boyfriend, he was. "You do evan. Please stop talking like this. Pushing me away is only going to hurt you more than it should" He then saw Evan get up and trip and quickly Richard, without hesitation, came to the rescue. He then stared at evan's eyes and saw love but it was blocked more with fear and heard his words, saying richard was perfect and deserved someone "better". Evan was scared and overwhelmed. The three men needed to convince him but it was going to take a while. Richard didn't care though. He knew deep down, that he was getting through to the other man. Suddenly, without warning, he felt lips touch his own and he knew it was evan. Quickly, richard took evan closer and forgot about the other two men, just enjoying and relishing in what happened to be one of the best first kisses he ever got. Eventually Evan shoved him away and Richard was left dazed.

When Evan ran off, Richard was just dazed still because of the kiss but snapped out of it when Arion called his attention. Richard shook his head and ran off, being right after Loki's arrival to find evan again. Seeing Evan so scared caused a deep amount of guilt to seep in. He allowed himself to come closer as Arion spoke but turned to Loki as the king spoke about him to evan. As loki spoke, Richard couldn't help but give evan a loving, concerned, tear-filled look. He didn't want to make evan feel bad at all, it just happened that looking at evan so broken caused a deep amount of emotion within the other man. "He's right. You have so many good traits that you don't even realize. You can be so loving and kind to others but you also need to be so kind to yourself. And I can help you do that. Because I love you Evan and I don't want anyone but you. I don't. I've never been normal Evan. I have powers, I have enemies and I have problems too. But that's ok. It's ok to have problems. Nobody has to be perfect"

He looked at evan's face, then lowered his gaze to his hand and hesitated but held it regardless, keeping his grip loose should Evan want to pull away. "I'm never going to be the perfect guy but I can definitely be the guy you want me to be if you allowed me to. I can be anything you want me to be evan. And you're worth fighting over. I made this whole mess up" He gave a very gentle squeeze to evan's hand "Give me a chance to fix it evan. I'll do anything"

[Rowan/Evan Thompson]

Evan shook his head.

"My heart's been broken too many times. It's fragile. I've had to start over so many times I've lost count how many times I've felt like my heart shattered. I can't do this again. I forgave you Arion but I still hate what you did. Loki made me a slave and sure he freed me but that didn't stop the countless beatings I've gotten from guards. And I'm a threat to his rule even if he doesn't see it. The Frost Giants will keep coming after me now wanting me to be their king. But none of that matters anymore.

I just want the pain to stop. I want to feel normal. To feel loved. But that's never really happened because everyone's left me or worse died like my mother. So it's better this way. I leave now and avoid the hurt later. I've given up on being happy since Jack and I broke up. I wanted to make the pain go away but you stopped me. Now I just want to go back to Earth and be alone. Just survive I guess. Maybe find a small little house somewhere by the sea." said Evan.

Evan paused at Loki and shook his head.

"No I was the wrong one. Love. Kindness. Happiness. That's only a dream. They only truly exist in fairy tales. They were my weakness. I was so eager to find love. To be happy. I let people walk over all me. Use me. But no more. All people have done is hurt me so I'm just going to go be alone from now on." said Evan.

He shook his head again.

"You were already a good king before you knew I was your brother. I didn't help you that much." said Loki.

He paused as he mentioned Richard as Evan looked at him sadly.

"Maybe he does. Or maybe it's just a crush. You lost your wife and your uncle. You're still grieving. I don't want to be your rebound guy. I dont want to be anyone's guy anymore. Like I said. Love and happiness just never worked out for me so I'm going to stop trying." said Evan.

He paused turning to Richard and shook his head. He laughed bitterly.

"Good traits? I have no good traits. I'm just a pathetic weak little coward who let his daddy beat him. Then after I escaped I craved love and happiness so much I made friends, boyfriends, and girlfriends. So many of them. They all left me. Got bored with me. Found someone else. Arion's already left me once so shouldn't be that hard to do again. And you'll find someone else Richard. I know you will. Someone who deserves you. And Loki already has a brother. Thor. He don't need me." said Evan.

He shook his head sadly.

"Of course you're perfect. The more you deny it the more obvious it is. And you don't love me. You can't. We've only known each other a few days." said Evan.

Evan shook his head.'

"I'm not worth fighting for. I'm nothing." said Evan.

He paused at Richard's word shaking his head.

"The man who stabbed me is the one who started this. Not you. It's not your fault. Or Arion's. Or Loki's. It's my attacker's fault. And mine. As well as Odin and Laufey. It was never your fault and you need to stop blaming yourself. All of you need to." said Evan.

All this running and exertion on his body were starting to take a toll on his body. But he had to go.

"Have to get to the Bifrost." thought Evan.

He saw Arion wasn't going to move and Loki and Richard were blocking the other way so he turned jumping through the nearest window crashing into the garden next to it as he kept running. Heading towards the fountain he first met Richard at. But he had underestimated his injuries and his strength. He was fighting a losing battle. His body was going to give out on him soon. And it did as he reached the fountain. He collapsed tripping as he fell inside. The cold water feeling refreshing. He tried to get up even though he could barely stand.

"No. Have to get up. Have to go the Bifrost. Must go back to Earth." mumbled Evan.

He got to his knees grabbing the edge of the fountain trying to pull himself up and instead felt a pair of arms around him hugging him close . He tried to pull away but their grip was too strong and he was feeling too weak.

"Let me go. Please just let me go." whimpered Evan.

[Arion]

"Nothing will change if you do not allow us to help you. If you want your brother or mineself will go and tell them to stop. It may not work completely but putting an effort will definitely change something" Arion responded first, hearing all of evan's defense to just wanting things and people to stop harming him. He sighed "Yes. Things are hard but things can become easier. You are absolutely right to still hate me, and I am not asking you to forget. I am asking you to allow your brother and richard here at least a chance. I don't care about me. I care more about your mental health. It's time for you to stop being so harsh on yourself. Sometimes leaving doesn't make things just disappear" Arion's tone was cautious. He knew his steps were going a bit too far so his tone was light and gentle. Just in case his friend got especially snappy.

He listened to evan snap a bit at loki then calmly talk to richard about his love being just a crush. Seeing richard respond back made Arion see how much richard seemed to really care about evan, seeing how stubborn evan was arion would think richard was going to just give up by this point, but it didn't seem to get through to evan that quite yet. Then all of a sudden there was a crash of a window, and arion was beyond shocked. However Richard seemed to be the only one to go, and arion was going to follow but Loki stopped him. Arion nodded as loki explained that this was richard's battle then if it failed, the two of them would come right back to make sure evan didn't get away. Arion said in return "He's very weak from injury, let us get the nurses and doctor"

"Do you not understand brother? It doesn't matter what happened in the past, we are here now and this hatred that was thrust upon you wasn't your fault. You have the right to be happy. Happiness is no dream, it just takes time to recieve. For all of us. I too was once like you, evan. I thought happiness was only a passing thing, that you only could recieve your happiness with absolute chaos and power. But it is not. Sometimes happiness only can happen with simple, kind gestures. Love for another can make someone incredibly happy. You are my brother, and nothing will ever change that" Loki responded, his tone even, patient and calm. He knew his brother was emotionally unstable at the moment, so reasoning through emotion would probably get through by being kind and patient. Evan was just overwhelmed and afraid, he needed consistent support, and hopefully that support would get through.

"You're not thinking clearly evan. You're injured, you're overwhelmed, you're angry, you're afraid and that is completely understandable. You need medical and emotional attention. We are not going to leave in your crisis. We are however not going to allow you to punish yourself by leaving away from people who are desperately trying to tell you that we are concerned about you" Loki stubbornly said as evan kept trying to blow them off, saying that he was nothing, that he wasn't worth it. That love and happiness was just a figment. He then saw richard talk much more to him and Loki gave full reigns to the mortal. Richard was desperate, more than loki and arion. Then suddenly Loki saw evan crash into a window and run off. Loki saw arion go over but he stopped him "No. Let richard handle this. He is the one who must be the closest to evan. Love is what evan needs to recieve, not overwhelming pressure from his ally and his brother" He nodded as arion said to get the nurses and doctor and the king lead arion to go find them

"It isn't a crush evan! I don't just fleet and flirt with people! You're right, I'm grieving but I'm also trying to move on, but I haven't found anyone I want to spend romantic advances with. Until I met you! It took me a while but I've moved on evan! Why can't you believe me? I know I sound so sudden but I thought you were dying and I would've never forgiven myself if I didn't tell you how I felt! But I didn't want to hurt you and it just spat out of me at the wrong time! But don't you ever think I only love you because I'm missing casey and need someone else, no truth be told, I want you because I just fucking do!" Richard harshly replied, hurt that evan would dare suggest richard didn't care about him enough to be completely serious. Unlike evan, richard didn't really like dating tons of people, once he was committed to someone it took all of his attention. It took him a couple of years to finally realize that he needed to move on. Evan just gave him the right push.

"That's their problem! Not yours! You can't shut people off evan, that hurts you more than ever! I know it fucking hurts to have someone die or leave but I won't do that to you. I'm mortal and will die eventually but I won't die because of you, I won't leave you either. If you just would allow me, I'd make you feel like the incredible person you are. If it didn't work out, I'd still be friends but one way or another, I won't leave you evan. I don't leave people like garbage" Richard insisted, trying desperately to make evan see how much he cared. Scared that evan was going to hurt himself without someone to love, richard wanted to make the other man know that he was being serious.

"No evan. You wouldn't say this if you met me previously. I was a fucking horrible person. I was angry, bitter, vengeful and arrogant. It's what cost me some of my friendships because of my need to kill this one asshole who murdered my wife. I'm still arrogant and angry, I'm never going to be perfect evan. But I can say that I am a good person and that I just don't abandon others" Richard insisted some more, just so hurt by evan's stabbing words. Saying he was perfect was like saying a cuss word. Richard didn't want to be perfect. Casey was, not him. Evan was, not him. Richard was just richard hughes. And evan needed to understand that even though HE saw him perfect, richard never would.

"Yes you are. Just let me prove it to you!" Richard said before he saw evan crash into a window and fall into a fountain where they met. Richard screamed "Evan!" Before running over to the fountain and fishing the clearly weak evan out. He held him tightly, his grip tightening when evan struggled. "No evan. You're not leaving. If you go, I go. I'm not going anywhere. You're not a rebound, you're the one I need to keep me here" He pulled evan up and stared into his eyes "When you said you can't love someone you met for a few days you're completely wrong. You can, but you can't be married to them, not after some serious thoughts. Yes both love and marriage have commitment but I'm not asking you to marry me. At least not yet. All I'm asking is for you to just give me this one chance to let me love you. If I fail, you can do whatever you want with me. Just give me a chance evan. Let me love you" And with that, Richard gently pulled evan for a kiss, holding him tightly but not enough to choke evan, but enough to know that richard was serious. Richard didn't want to lose evan, he cared too much.

[Rowan/Evan Thompson]

Evan whimpered as Richard's grip tightened. He'd nearly forgotten his wounds and they stung a little with the water.

"I have to go. I can't wait for you all to leave me. Or die. So I'm ending it now before I get too close. It'll hurt less this way." said Evan.

Richard kept insisting he wasn't a rebound. That he did love him even they only knew each other a few days. Evan paused as a flash of memory of Richard being mean to Torian at an earlier meal played in his mind.

"Is that why you were acting so mean to Torian before? You were jealous?" asked Evan.

He paused as Richard asked for a chance and Evan sobbed.

"I don't know if I can do that. My heart's already in pieces. I can't take another heart break. I can't." said Evan.

He paused as Richard pulled him close and kissed him again as Evan found himself returning the kiss. Was Richard telling him the truth? Did he really love him? Had he finally found someone who genuinely loved him? He paused as he pulled back before his legs gave out as he fell. Instead of touching the ground he felt Richard's arms safely around him as he felt himself being carried away.

"Why do you care so much? We barely know each other. I was attracted to you the moment I first saw you. But you said you had a wife. I thought you were straight. I was making a fool out of myself when we first met and you didn't even give a hint you liked me. Why did not tell me then? Why wait until I'm practically dying?" said Evan.

(ooc: after your next post we could do a time skip with his wounds patched up and the four together again. unless you want the evan/richard moment to last a bit longer. i was figuring richard would take him back to get those wounds checked out and to put him back in bed. xd)

(OCC: I prefer to have evan and richard have a longer moment but after a couple posts, we'll have a time skip with all four boys and have evan be resting. For now it's just richard and evan and richard will put him to bed)

"No it will hurt more evan. You assuming people are going to abandon you is just going to lead to a very unhappy life. I'm not letting anyone harm you ever again" Richard promised, his tone soft to the point of pure desperation. He was scared that evan was going to kill himself with exhaustion or die of infected injuries. He had to get evan help but Richard needed evan to know that richard was doing all of this because he cared so much. That he wanted to be with evan.

Richard hesitated when Evan brought up Torian. That he may or may not have been jealous. OK, richard was incredibly jealous that day. Sighing, Richard nodded "Yes. Like I said, I'm arrogant and I allowed my jealousy to affect me in a negative sense. I'm sorry. I probably should've told you that day that I was in love with you but... Torian. He was there. I was worried he was making moves on you and I tried to intimidate him" Richard wiped his tears, seeing they were coming back "I'm such a asshole" He mumbled to himself, angry and hateful at himself. The things happening today were his fault. Nobody said that but he blamed himself.

"If we break up, which I pray will never happen, we'll be friends or I'll still be cordial. I'll never break your heart simply because it doesn't work out. I know you're scared. I understand. I just want one chance, that's all I ask. Give me that and I'll make it up to you. We won't do anything you're not comfortable with and whenever you're ready for anything or whenever you wish to open more to me I'll wait. I don't care how long it'll take. I just want to be there for you" Richard said, sincerely and tone filled with promise and commitment. He knew Jack affected Evan and if Richard saw this prick, he'd kill him but right now he was focused on evan's emotional breakdown.


Feeling evan kiss back automatically made Richard feel that his words were working. Not fast but it was close enough. Richard didn't push his luck though, he never attempted to push his luck. He just smiled as Evan stared at him, trying to appear comforting. Suddenly Evan's legs gave out and Richard quickly picked him up. Surprisingly, for richard's weight, he was incredibly strong. Maybe it was because he was protective of evan but one thing was for sure, richard was going to help evan if it killed him. Hearing Evan's weak questioning made richard breathe before answering "Because I was a idiot. I was afraid. I was worried that you were going to think I was a manipulative asshole who just wanted to have sex just because. I heard your story and I wanted you to trust me before anything. Evan, I'm bisexual. I have been for many years. I didn't want to tell you because I was just as scared as you were" He held evan closer, sighing and beginning to cry a little more "I didn't want to hurt you evan. I was just so scared. I just wanted to be there for you. Now look, I'm hurting you now" He cried some more "But... But I'll fix it. I'll get you healed, get you some rest and I'll be better evan. I'll do better. I'll apologize to Torian. I'll apologize to Arion. I'll fix this. I'll be a better person for you evan"

(ooc: ok we can do more evan and richard. we can do a time skip whenever then.)

Evan shook his head.

"I already have an unhappy life. Why should I hope it will get any better?" said Evan.

Evan heard Richard confess it was jealousy and Evan sighed.

"You made me nervous that day. I was starting to think maybe that nice guy I met in the garden was an act after all. That you were finally showing your true colors. Torian was a friend that's all. I wasn't even thinking of starting anything up with him. Besides I think he's more interested in Jennifer. I might be wrong but I saw him staring at her." said Evan.

He paused at Richard's words saying if they broke up they'd still be friends. Or at least Richard would be polite.

"We're not even dating yet and you're saying you'll still be friends. But I know the truth. It will end badly. They always do and I'll be left all alone again. That's why I want to go now. Before it gets ugly. I want to look back and remember you as you are now. I don't think I could handle it if you hated me. Even though I probably would deserve if it you did." said Evan.

He listened as Richard asked for one more chance and Evan sighed.

"I don't know. I've wanted you from the moment I first saw you but I just don't know if I can do that." said Evan.

They were kissing now and Evan enjoyed it. Each kiss seemed better than the last one. He whimpered as Richard began carrying him away back to the bed.

"I would never think that. You're kind, sweet. Practically perfect like I've said." said Evan.

He paused as Richard admitted to being bisexual. That he'd been that way for years but didn't tell him because of his own fears. And he was just hurting him now.

"You were scared? I could never reject you." said Evan.

Evan whimpered shaking his head.

"No. No sleeping. That's when the nightmares come. I'm back with Jack or Laufey or in the dungeons here. Some of them I end up dead. Others I never leave. I was a prisoner of Jack and Laufey. I see that now. I was never good enough for either of them. That's my life's motto. Not being good enough." said Evan.

He nodded as Richard said he'd apologize to Torian and Arion.

"You do that. If anyone has the right to be mad at Arion it's me. And he's started to make up for it. I really have missed him and yet I don't know if I can forgive him either you know." said Evan.

"You already are a better person. You don't need to change anything." said Evan.

Evan paused realizing he had to be the one to change. Maybe letting Richard, Arion, and Loki in was the first step. He sighed knowing the three of them were going to be relentless. And Richard was very persistent which made him even more attractive.

"Alright. I'll give you a chance. But I want you to become a Frost Giant like the three of us or an Asgardian. I can't get close to you and then lose you. Whether it's a week or 50 years from now. I'm sure Loki or Arion would know of a way to do it. There has to be a way." said Evan.

"Because... Because..." Richard was at first unsure how to answer Evan's question. Because he sometimes too had these doubts of how life was worth living. Eventually, with his voice sounding more sincere than it was, he spoke "Because my uncle said that other people that care about you make life just that easier to handle. It may not get better without a little help evan. You need to not be so unhappy with yourself and other people. You need to give yourself a chance to be happy and you need to give other people a chance to be supportive. It's not easy but life shall go on. It's hard, I'm not saying don't be upset, but try to understand that not everyone will try to hurt you. You just had very bad luck"

"He probably wasn't interested you're right and you're also right to think I was a asshole. I'm sorry evan. I didn't think. I make mistakes and this is why I am not perfect. I know it's not ok and I'm sorry" Richard said, feeling ashamed for being so petty as to be jealous. How can he be so stupid? And yet be so subtle enough to almost lose his friend that day? Richard's tears kept flowing as he listened to evan's words. He was right but that didn't mean it didn't hurt.

"It will only end badly if we both allow it. We can control our relationship the way we want to. I only want to be with you whether be your friend or your love. If you don't like this relationship, we can do whatever you want. I won't like it but I would rather have you happy than just spend time with me because you don't want to hurt my feelings. I know it's hard to give yourself up but I'm not asking you to do that either. I just want you to give me the chance to let me be trustworthy to you" Richard responded, surprisingly stubborn still. People would give up by this point. But not richard. Definitely not richard. Richard was a man of dedication. He then shook his head as evan insisted that he would never think that and that he would never reject him despite being scared "I still didn't want to hurt you. I was a idiot, I told you, and thought you'd be mad and thought I was using you. I wanted you to trust me a bit more before I asked" He wiped his eyes again "But look how that turned out. Damn me, I'm such a idiot"

The kissing between them lasted longer with every passing second and even though richard was emotionally drained, he felt very relieved when kissing evan. Like a soothing balm. He felt disappointed that they stopped and had to go back to reality. The reality which was broken and messed up. He then softly responded, holding evan's body closer and gently shushed him as evan mentioned nightmares "You won't be there alone this time. I'll stay near your bedside if it'll make it easier. If anything goes wrong, I'll wake you up and do what I can and I'll get your brother" He then nodded as Evan said to do apologize to torian and arion. But that evan was the only one entitled to be upset with arion now, and richard nodded despite himself "You're right. It's none of my business. It never was. But I just heard your story and thought out of instinct, still I'll take it back. But if arion hurts you again, don't say I can't fight back for you. I'm going to be pissed at people who harmed or harm you"

"Really?" Richard said, shocked but very, very satisfied that evan was going to give him a chance. Richard, despite himself, started to giggle a little in joy and relief before calming himself "Thank you evan!" He kissed evan's temple "You're not going to regret this!" He then listened as Evan said that he had to become a frost giant or a asgardian because humans didn't last as long as frost giants or asgardians. He nodded immediately "I'll do anything to be with you. I'll become anything you want me to be" He then pondered and responded "I might lean towards frost giant though"

[Rowan/Evan Thompson]

Evan nodded.

"I guess that makes sense. But I've been through so much Richard. It seems simpler to end it all or live alone. Why try to live with people when all they've done is hurt me?" said Evan.

Evan nodded and sighed.

"You know looking back now that I know you were jealous it's kind of hot actually. You cared that much about me to get jealous. Maybe you really do care." said Evan.

Evan sighed. He just didn't believe this relationship would work out in the long run.

"It will end badly. Just like they all have. That's inevitable. But I'll just enjoy it while it lasts." said Evan.

Evan sighed at him.

"I wouldn't have been mad. So many times I wanted to kiss you that day. I was surprised you let me hold your hand for so long that day. That should have been a hint. How did I not realize you liked me back? I guess I've been pretty dumb." said Evan.

He smiled as Richard said he'd be there when he went to sleep and if something went wrong he'd wake him up and get his brother.

"I appreciate that but no more sleep. I don't want to sleep. I have nightmares every night. I haven't had a peaceful night of sleep in years. Well there was one night. The day I met you. I went to bed thinking about you and I slept through the night." said Evan.

He blushed realizing he'd admitted that out loud. The nightmares had returned the next night but that one night of sweet dreams had been wonderful.

"I know your protective and you care. But my grudges and personal life are mine. Who I hate or like you don't have to be the same ok? I don't want that. I guess it's wrong to ask you to not get angry. That's your right. But just don't get mad on my account. I don't want you or Loki or Arion or anyone else to fight my battles for me." said Evan.

He smiled as Richard was shocked that Evan was giving him a chance.

"Yes really. You've convinced me. Just don't let me down. And don't worry. I'll make sure Loki and Arion don't come after you when our relationship ends one day. I don't want you to get hurt." said Evan.

Evan smiled as Richard agreed to become a frost giant or asgardian and he was pondering a frost giant.

"I'm not sure if there is a way but there has to be. At least a way to make you immortal." said Evan.

"Yeah but the road to happiness is never easy. If you were gone, I probably would want to come with you" Richard said firmly, his eyes lowered to the ground in some sort of embarrassment. He sighed softly "You just need more support. You need more positivity in your life. I will help you. Sure people have hurt you but Loki and I have tried really hard to make you happy here and we'll still try, at least I will" He didn't want his recently discovered love to immediately vanish. He lost someone once, he refused to lose Evan.

"It was still wrong. It put you in a place you shouldn't of been put. I know we were still friends but those couple of days put you into pressure. I didn't want that. Of course I cared about you and still care, but I shouldn't of acted so stupid" Richard said softly. He then held onto Evan close as he repeated that it was going to end badly "I told you evan. It's only going to be like this if you or I make it that way. There's nothing wrong with trying. Don't try to settle into it. You never know and neither do I. We should just let fate decide" He held him tighter, wanting to never let go of this man.

"Maybe but so was I..." Richard said, then he breathed and responded "The truth is I heard your thoughts that day and didn't want to tell you. I only didn't tell you because I didn't want you to feel embarrassed. My powers can't be turned off. I ignored them but I didn't act upon them. We both liked each other but I didn't want us to be so immediate. I wanted us to be natural. Trust comes first for any relationship. I'm really sorry Evan" He sighed, struggling to get to the palace and to the center that Evan was once before in.

"What if I was there with you all night? What if I stayed with you?" Richard asked about Evan's nightmares, blushing brightly very aware of how intimate this was. He then listened as Evan insisted that Richard had the right to be upset about things, but not act upon them on Evan's account "OK. I'll try my best. I may make the same mistake but if I do feel free to remind me" He then grinned as Evan said that he was convinced and would make sure to not let his older brother or Arion attack him "If it ends. Never set anything into stone, evan. But I'm glad you will try not to be bitter. I don't deserve you but I'll do my best to make you happy!"

"Loki! He can totally do it! He has magic or whatever! There has to be something!" Richard responded, and as he talked he got closer to the medical center where two female healers, Loki and Arion were there. He smiled and helped Evan back on the bed and he turned to Loki and responded "Um. Your highness, can you and I talk later?"

"Oh thank the norns" Loki mumbled softly, seeing Evan's body be carried by Richard. Surprisingly Richard was strong despite his weight and size. He then allowed the nurses and Richard to help evan back down. He held his brother's hand and responded "You are going to be alright evan. Just relax" He then turned to Richard and was puzzled but not close-minded to talk to the mortal in private. The king nodded and responded "You are my brother's close one, you may call me Loki from now on instead of formality"

"Evan!" Arion said happily, and allowed Richard and the nurses to do some work. Hearing Richard and Loki talk calmly to one another gave the indication that things were going to get better. But looking at Evan, his concern returned and the frost giant held evan's shoulder softly and responded "We're here for you my friend. Do you wish us to do anything?"

[Rowan/Evan Thompson]

Evan sighed.

"I've never found that road. I'm on the one way road to misery with no turn offs." said Evan.

He paused looking at Richard. Again he said he'd come with him if he left.

"Why would you want to do that? I'm immortal. No matter what damage has been done to Earth I'd survive. You wouldn't live as long and could get hurt." said Evan.

He sighed.

"What really do I have to be positive about besides you Loki and Arion?" asked Evan.

He shrugged.

"What was wrong was not telling me in the first place. Hiding your feelings and lying never really ends well. That bastard could have killed me and I'd have never known how you really felt." said Evan.

Evan shook his head sadly.

"It always ends up like this. Always. This will be no different. I wanted this and didn't at the same time. And you all wore me down. So I'll stay and date you. But no matter how much fun I have with you I fear I'll always be dreading the day I'm alone again." said Evan.

The ironic part is he tried to leave to be alone but it's what he feared the most. He craved companionship even if they treated him horribly like Jack had down.

"You heard my thoughts?" asked Evan.

He was now blushing remembering just how many thoughts he had about Richard that day.

"I put you on the spot without realizing it. It would have been embarrassing but I'd have rather learned it then. I was practically trying to not throw myself at you and you knew the entire time." said Evan.

He paused listening to Evan and smiled.

"I'd like that." said Evan.

Evan nodded.

"I will. I know I am broken but I'm not a glass doll. I do not want be treated like I need protection. I can take care of myself. I've done that for years. I don't need babysitter or a bodyguard. I need a boyfriend." said Evan.

He shook his head.

"When it ends. I know it will. It's just a matter of time." said Evan.

Evan nods.

"According to some mythology on Earth there was golden apples or ambrosia you could eat to turn you into gods. Maybe we have something here like that. At least I hope." said Evan.

He paused seeing Richard and Arion as he's brought back to his room and just looks away. He's put back in bed. Richard let the nurses patch up his wounds and soon they were gone and then it was just the four of them again once more. He heard Richard and Arion and sighed.

"I hope I will." said Evan.

He paused with a frown glancing at his wrists realizing they barely looked healed at all. The pain had only lessened slightly.

"The healing it's not working. I still hurt. My wrists and my chest are still cut. What else did that dagger do to me?"asked Evan.

He was now scared. What if healing powers were blocked? What if he was stuck like this.

"What am I going to do? If I have to heal the normal way this could take too long. If I even heal completely at all." said Evan.

"Well luckily you can always find your way back to happiness instead of misery" Richard said affectionately yet firmly. Like Evan who was the cynical, Richard became the optimist of this relationship. Evan may have lost hope but luckily Richard's stubbornness in a twisted way gave richard hope enough to fit for both men. "I don't care about anyone else in the fucking world, Evan. I only care about you. The reason I want to suffer the war and all that bullshit is because I really do care about you. I know it's hard to believe but unlike most men out there, I'm not some stupid douchebag"

"Yourself. You underestimate how special you really are, man. You've literally made my days so much better simply because of your smile. Only true, genuine people can do that" Richard said softly. He wanted Evan to love himself, to embrace himself, in order to embrace him, loki, and arion completely and fully. "You shouldn't give a damn about what happened. You shouldn't even be forced to remember. I'm asking you to be happy, simply for you. No-one else"

"You're right" Richard said, tears forming quickly again "I'm sorry, I'm really sorry" He sniffed, trying not to cry again. He couldn't help it though. He felt so horrible. He then listened as Evan said despite wanting this to work, he feared that no matter what he'd end up alone because of his whole life being horrible. Richard sighed softly "Well, then I'll have to find a way to make you never dread it. I'll make your days so happy and fun that you'll never have time to think about it. I'm sorry evan but I'm just as damned stubborn as you are. You're not going to let me lose you"

"No I kind of deserved it to be honest. I should've been not such a damned coward and let you know. Let us talk and make us truly honest. I was just worried that you'd be hurt by me. I don't want to hurt you Evan. Ever" Richard said softly as Evan and he discussed his powers "I tried really hard but I'm still learning my powers even after all these years. It's hard to shut off but that's no excuse. I'm sorry"

"Ok. Then that's what I'll do. Anything you need Evan" Richard gently held Evan closer until they eventually made it back to the room. He beamed as Loki confirmed that such myths that Evan mentioned about immortality existed and that he would search for them for Richard's sake. That Richard would become immortal for Evan soon enough. He then growled as the healing didn't seem to be working. He clenched his fists "If that bastard wasn't killed already, I'd make him tell us what the hell was going on. It'd be hell for him"

Loki heard Evan mention to Richard that there was ambrosia or apples of golden to make people immortal. He realized why evan was mentioning this and why Richard wanted to talk with him. The both of them wanted Richard to be immortal. He went over to them both and quickly replied "You are correct, my brother. There is such a ambrosia for Richard to be immortal. I do not know where it exactly is, but I know it exists and works. He will become immortal soon enough" He smiled to Richard assuringly which caused the man in turn to grin with delight. The king then frowned displeased as Evan began panicking. He then saw the healing not perform fast enough. Loki calmly replied "Brother, please relax. We had enough excitement for today. Firstly, it is very clear the dagger that attacked you was no normal dagger. So it is unfortunately likely that you are indeed powerless to it. However, I have powerful magic for the damned thing. I will find a way to heal you faster"

"For evan's sake I hope you do, my lord" Arion said nervously. "That blasted assassin. What did he think he was going to accomplish? That bloody fool" Arion clenched his fists. He then saw Richard comment about it and he nodded in agreement. "Maybe killing him was a foolish thing to do. We don't know his entire motives, boss or how he got that dagger and what it does. If he was alive, we would've known. Blast it" He then sighed softly. He turned to evan and replied "I still do not regret killing him though. He deserved to die. If I wasn't so quick, he would've suffered longer"

[Rowan/Evan Thompson]

Evan grinned at that.

"I guess i have. You're my hapiness." said Evan.

Evan was touched as he spoke and Evan found his resolve weakening. Richard really did care about him. Evan then realized he was crying but these were happy tears. He snuggled closer to Richard afraid to let go.

"I believe you. I've just never had people care about me so much and wanting nothing in return. Or aren't trying to betray me or abandon me."s aid Evan.

Evan blushed as Richard spoke again.

'Really? Just because of my smile?" asked Evan.

Evan paused at his words and shook his head.

"How can I really be happy? I don't think I've ever really known what it was like. I was fooled so many times and had it ripped away from me. And I know this will be ripped away from me again. You'll all leave me or you'll die. Even though we're immortal Loki and Arion can be killed. And you're human. You'r the easiest to kill out of the four of us. Then I'll just be alone again." said Evan.

Evan paused as Richard started to cry and Evan felt lower than dirt. He hadn't meant for Richard to cry or feel bad.

"Please don't cry. I'm sorry. You had your reasons and I forgive you." said Evan.

He couldn't stay mad at Richard. He geninuely loved Richard and Richard felt the same way.

"Your welcome to try but I doubt anything will change." said Evan.

Evan paused at his words and Evan shook his head.

"Are you kidding? You're one of the most kindest and bravest men I know. I'm the coward. Always running from everything. From my people, from happiness, everything. I let people use me and walk all over me because I didn't want to be alone. I'm pathetic and a coward. You deserve someone better than me." sid Evan.

Evan nodded listening to him.

"I see. When we first met I practically threw myself at you with my thoughts. I thought you hot and funny and wonderful. Well at least you can't see into dreams or you would have..."

He trailed off realizing he had said too much and his cheeks were now b blushing a bright red.

"Forget I said anything." said Evan.

Evan paused grinning as Loki confirmed a way to make Richard immortal.

"Thank you my brother." said Evan.

He took a few deep breaths trying to calm himself down from having a panic attack.

"Of course it's obvious this isn't a normal dagger." snapped Evan.

He realized he snapped at his brother. He blushed and smiled sheepishly.

"Sorry please continue." said Evan.

He sighed as Loki said he wasn't sure what was wrong but he would find a way to heal him quicker.

"I hope so. It's not much fun being hurt like this." said Evan.

Evan shook his head.

"A guy like that didn't care if he got caught. He just wanted revenge. I doubt he would have told us anything anyway." said Evan.

He paused letting go of Richard and hugging both Loki and Arion.

"I'm sorry I tried to run away. I just don't want to lose any of you so I thought if I left then it'd be easier to lose you now before I got too close." said Evan.

He wouldn't admit that it was already too late. He'd already gotten too close to them all and he'd just been lying to himself when he'd tried to escape. If Richard hadn't gotten to him he probably would have kept on running.

[Arion]

Richard couldn't help but smile as Evan said that he was Evan's happiness. The very thought made Richard hold Evan slightly closer than he already was. He then replied to Evan's happy response that this was the first time in a long time that he had someone care for him without any favor "You do have people now that love you a lot evan. Especially me" He allowed Evan to hold him closer, Richard too was afraid that if he let go he'd never see Evan again.

"Hey it's a damn good smile" Richard said, his mood better as the talk became much more pleasant. He then listened as Evan sprout out more cynical responses to Richard's words, saying that he is probably going to get killed or that life just ripped Evan apart by fooling him so many times. "Evan. I'm going to become immortal for you and nothing will stop me from doing this. I want to be this way just so I can spend it with you. I want you to have a taste of a happy life, Evan. I want you to stop feeling so alone. If you haven't felt it before, I can show you. I can do that if you wanted me too"

He then felt his tears stream a little as Evan looked at him and affectionately tried to get him to stop. He did stop for Evan's sake but his face was in Evan's neck, struggling to not be overwhelmed with his love and guilt. He was glad Evan wasn't angry with him anymore but he still felt bad for his mistakes. He ignored what Evan mumbled about Richard trying to be there for him might not change things and just held Evan on until they were at the room.

"But I don't want someone else. I want you. There's nothing more precious than you" Richard sincerely responded to Evan. He smiled at Evan's words though, he was touched that someone truly found him to be kind. He then blushed brightly as Evan pointed out it was a good thing he didn't see dreams and Richard had a good idea what he dreamed about. As he went into the room he was relieved that Loki was going to help him become immortal, he had a feeling the king was looking to it before hearing about Richard's problem but the man was happy nonetheless. Richard nodded then listened as Evan, Loki and Arion looked into the dagger situation before evan hugged his friend and brother. He looked down before affectionately looking at Evan. After Loki and Arion forgave him, Richard responded "I need to apologize too. I'm sorry about my hot-head, Arion. I didn't mean it. I just... I was just scared I guess. Can you forgive me?" He smiled as Arion did in fact forgive him.

"No need to thank me. Richard means a lot to you and you to him. It is the least I can do" Loki replied as Evan thanked him for his determination to help Richard. He then made a rather bemused look as Evan got snappy at him for saying the dagger wasn't normal. "It may be obvious, brother but the simplest information can be incredibly helpful. But nonetheless, it is rather obvious it's not a normal one. That spell that just happened was something very dark. Darker than anything I've witnessed before" He then heard Arion suggest that either the murderer was a magician or a person trained by someone else. "Clearly he either had a motive personal or was hired by someone, that part is true arion. And yes, he could be a magician or his master was. I must look into this further clearly. Either this man is connected to a enemy I know or a new one entirely" Loki cursed under his breath. He knew he'd have enemies but now that the enemy knew who Loki cared about, Loki may had to take precautions with his family.

He hugged Evan eventually and responded "Brother, I understand your fear but leaving for fear of loving those who care for you is not healthy. You must stop being so fearful of being close to people. I do understand why but we want to help you. Let us heal you now and with time, maybe your emotional wounds will follow in persuit" He then watched Richard and Arion interact and the king nodded in a pleased state. He was glad things were slightly more peaceful around here. Loki then looked to Evan and tried the same spell he did, which glowed a bright pink but it didn't work and Loki cursed, seeing the magic at the moment not working.

Arion listened as Loki explained the dagger was magic and he quickly burst out "The assassin was a magician! Or perhaps he has a master that was a magician that hired him" He turned to Evan who said the man didn't care if he died or got caught, because he had revenge, and nodded "Sure he had a personal revenge but either he knew that magic himself or it was given to him to finish the job" Arion pounded his hand in frustration. Arion growled also, extremely displeased with this predicament. Arion did calm down though as Evan confessed he ran away for fear of getting too close with them all. Arion hugged back and responded "I understand, my friend, but it only hurts more than helps" He listened as Loki talked more to evan and then he turned to see Richard. Arion got a little nervous but then smiled as the human apologized. "You are forgiven, Richard. You had every right to be angry with me. But let us by gones be by gones"

[Rowan/Evan Thompson]

Evan smiled at him sadly with tears coming out of his eyes.

"I really do?" asked Evan.

He wanted to believe that. But he'd been hurt so many times. What if this was just another one of those times. Arion had rejected him once before. Loki didn't grow up with so it'd be easy to forget him he figured. But Richard would be hard to forget. They all would. He held Richard closer afraid if he'd let him go he'd disappear. He blushed as Richard complimented his smile.

"It's not that good." said Evan.

Evan paused as Richard said he would become immortal for him.

"It's just wishful thinking. A dream. After all there's no way to make someone immortal. Right?" said Evan.

Evan shook his head sadly not wanting to believe Richard really cared that deeply about him.

"Everything's more precious than me." said Evan.

Evan paused thinking back to the dagger and a terrible thought crossed his mind.

"What if it was the Frost Giants? They hate Loki and Thor for trying to destroy them through you separate attacks and you did kill their king. And I did abandon them. Maybe they consider us traitors and decided to kill me since I was the weaker of the two of us." said Evan.

He was surprised as they berrgan making apologizes to each other and kept apologizing to him.

"I don't deserve a wonderful brother like you." whispered Evan.

Evan looked at him sadly.

"Everyone I've grown close to has hurt me or turned their back on me. Or both. Every time before I tried to hope and each time I had my heart broken. Why should now be any different?" whispered Evan.

Evan paused looking at Arion as he hugged him.

"I'm sorry all of you have gone through so much trouble. Just for me." said Evan.

[Arion]

Richard nodded at Evan, wanting him to desperately believe him. Richard then scoffed as Evan said his smile was not that great "Stop it. It's beautiful. Just like you. And you are precious" He then blushed red after that confession. He then heard Evan express doubt about Richard being immortal but Loki said about a spell to make someone immortal as well as one of a person possibly be a frost giant. Something that he was working on for John and Loki's own love Johnny. Richard beamed "That thing can exist! I can be immortal! I'll do anything Loki, really!" Richard then beamed as Loki said he didn't want a favor. The man shook the king's hand "Thank you, Loki!"

He then watched as Arion and Evan began to chat. He watched with soft, protective eyes. He was nervous still of Arion but not enough as before. He then saw Arion go to confront the frost giants and Richard held his arm "Not now Arion. Evan needs us, we need to take care of him before all else"

"Do not lose faith yet Evan. There is hope for Richard. I am working on a spell to make him immortal as well as a frost giant should he choose. I do wish for Richard to stay here so I will assist him" Loki didn't like the idea of frost giant at all but if it meant helping his brother keep his love. It'd be worth it. It made him smile as Richard seemed to truly be grateful. He shook the man's hand and shook his head "Think nothing of it, Richard" He then beamed at Evan as he called him a good brother. He then froze as Evan asked if it was the frost giants "If that is the case. They should have attacked me. It was my fault. They did not need to harm you" He said, sadness in his tone

Arion hugged Evan and assured him "No evan. You are not trouble. You are my friend and deserve so much better than what I gave you" He then froze as Evan suggested the giants "No, I cannot believe that. They sent me to protect you as well as were delighted with your return. But I have been wrong before" He growled "I should confront them on this. Demand a explanation!" He then was grabbed by Richard and he calmed down a bit "You are right, my friend. I am thinking too many things at once" He then relaxed again

[Rowan/Evan Thompson]

Evan grinned and then was blushing as Richard called him precious.

"I'm not precious." said Evan, pouting in an adorable kind of way.

Evan turned to Loki feeling his face no longer red as he was now grinning again.

"You can really make him immortal?" asked Evan.

He rolled his eyes.

"Please. It would have been something you'd have done if you were in their shoes. Strike the weak link first." said Evan.

He grinned and hugged Arion. He saw their reactions to the Frost Giants.

"Please don't go. If it is them they're not going to admit it. Or worse they're try to capture or kill you to keep it quiet. If their goal is to kill me and Loki you'd be playing into their hands by going over there and leaving us more vulnerable." said Evan.

He sighed.

"Besides I could be wrong. They're not our only enemies. We've had plenty of enemies in the Nine Realms so we can't be sure it's the Frost Giants." said Evan.
