Reason of choice: He's the main character and he's amazing. I love his character and he's extremely complex

Personality: Loki is extremely complicated, both with himself and with other people. He's a angry, arrogant, bitter, stubborn, cruel and sadistic person but he is also sarcastic, sardonic, couragous, caring and sympathetic individual. Who he cares about most are the only people he will willingly show affection to, care for and die for. Otherwise you're on your own, unless you're a ally or someone of use to him, he'll save your life then but don't expect him to care about you. He is very sarcastic so be sure to watch what he says because he might say things that he doesn't really mean. He's deceitful, lying, dishonest and tricky so it's hard to trust him to but once you trust him or the other way around, you have a very good friend on your hands. He also can easily stress out when unprepared or taken advantage of, so his temper is unpredictable as much as his powers are, do not underestimate his calm nature as something to lean on, he can and will lose it if anything goes wrong in his mind. He can be loyal but it takes some work for him to be in such a way, but once you have his loyalty, by god you will have it completely. Did I mention he likes to be a smartass? Keep that in mind. He's also violent and angry, you won't like that at all.
History: Loki's backstory is complicated too. He was born on jotunheim but was abandoned by his father Laufey, king of jotunheim, due to his runt-like size. He was supposed to die if he was not saved by Odin, a king who defeated his real father and took his son out of victory and pure sympathy for the small child. Loki, as the years passed, grew up unknowing his heritage and was believed to be one of the royal family, until a little trip to jotunheim changed that. Due to Frost Giants interrupting Thor's coronation, Thor wished to teach the giants a lesson for harming the vault and arrogantly did so with loki and his friends in tow. In return for this attack, thor endangered himself and the others as well as make a war, resulting in banishment to earth. Loki would've been upset if Loki wasn't responsible of the fact of interupting the coronation, though he didn't want thor to be banished just forbidden to rule for a tad longer. He realized his adoption and decided to take the fact out by handling the war himself, due to odin going to odinsleep, and loki quickly got rid of laufey by murdering him, but thor changed well enough to stop his attempt to destroy the whole world of jotunheim. In the battle loki let go of odin's staff, knowing he would pay for his crimes and fell into the abyss.
He survived this though and returned to midgard, or earth, by the chitauri and him working out a deal. In exchange for the tesseract, Loki would have the "throne" of earth and he tried to take over if not for the valliant and successful event of the avengers. He was brought to prison afterwards by thor and sentenced to life in prison. Frigga was the only reason he lived, due to odin wishing him dead, but Loki felt nothing afterwards. He stayed in prison until Thor left for earth to see if anything else was needed. Loki planned out his escape successfully and took Frigga, reluntinately, out of asgard and banished her to Vanaheim, where she would be safe. Odin, on the other hand, was privately imprisoned for life(Due to loki wishing to make odin suffer) and Loki took over Asgard quickly, banishing thor's allies and proceeding to keep asgard to himself. He then was called on by the chitauri and their leader the other, who told him to destroy asgard but Loki quickly betrayed, enslaved and controlled the chitauri instead with the mighty power of the tesseract and quickly took over earth. As his first command against earth, he destroyed many of the cities, except europe and North america(Due to the sympathy of a majority population willingly surrendering and as a reward, he spared those counties and even let them keep their names) and is now king of both asgard and earth. Also, his adopted brother, now serves him loyally due to his mind control powers. Yet there is a rebellion declaring war on him and he accepts the challange with a smirk and a army of his own. He will keep his reign longlasting even if it kills him.

Sample Post(First Character is required, others optional): Loki walked onto the front of the palace where a majority of frightened, awed or inspired civilians laid down in front of him. He grinned sadistically. All these people feared and respected him. As he grabbed guntier, odin's staff but now was his, he slammed it down and instantly the civilians bowed both out of fear and in respect. Loki chuckled, glad to see people finally know who he was. The king. The rightful king. They all kneeled and worshiped him. They respected him. They obeyed him.
"People of Asgard. You assumed me as dead but I am not, I live and I am your king. You all are under my rule now" He said pridefully, a sneer to check if anyone defied him but none were protesting. A majority of his rulers bowed their heads down, some children looked up but their mothers whispered something to make them bow down again. "Odin is now a criminal of the highest regard. Abuse of your king, and yes this is a rule of utmost disrespect. You will look upon anyone who still obeys him as enemies. Anyone who cares for his rule is also a criminal of the highest regard. He has turned against me for far too long. If you see any of his allies or the leader himself, you are to report it to my guards and bring him to me. Rewards will be given" He chuckled, smiling as he said every word. "I promise you that my rule may be firm but it is consistant. I bring no harm to you. Only rules and commands. All I ask is obediance and loyalty. In return your pains will be very rewarded" He chuckled again, seeing the people nod or mumble in compliance "I am Loki of Asgard. I am burdened with glorious purpose"
