We Need A Plan (Open)

[Phil Coulson/Vision]

(ooc: january 7th. morning. planning meeting. not the whole army. just a select few of course. The rest of the army would be filled in off screen with what goes on here.)

Coulson stood in his room. He'd invited the leaders to this army. Storm was the leader of the X-men and while there was only two of them at the moment he wanted Storm's input in this meeting so she'd invited her. He decided instead of one ruler he was going to suggest a council with Tony at the head. He had formed this army but this way it felt we had more of a group input in how things were done. Now he was just waiting for the select few he'd asked to come to this meeting.

Ororo walked in next. She was glad to be invited to this meeting learning only a few of them were invited. It was a planning meeting from what Coulson had told her. While he was glad they'd started training many of their members were inexperienced soldiers or just starting out as superheroes. They didn't have months or years to prepare for the next battle. That could happen at any point. She smiled at Coulson and took a seat.

Mike walked in next. He'd been invited. Apparently, he was to be a buffer for Bruce to make sure he didn't get too angry. He felt slightly offended they just wanted him to keep Bruce calm but Coulson said he did want his input as well. He even had a copy of Mike's file saying they had even considered inviting him into SHIELD but then Loki's attacks and the dismantle of SHIELD had prevented that. Mike was flattered to be even considered and had eventually agreed to come. He took a seat at the table waiting for Bruce and the rest of the group to arrive.

[Steve Rogers(Captain America)]

Steve and Tony both came in at the same time. Tony sat on Coulson's right while Steve sat on Coulson's left. Steve and Tony were quiet but both have different ways. Steve smiled at Coulson and gave him a soft hello before patiently waiting also smiling at Natasha when she arrived, Tony meanwhile saw Bruce and gave a big grin for him and saw him with mike and mouthed out Are you two together yet? When glared at by Bruce, Tony understood that meant 'Please don't do this now. Leave it be' and immediately kept his gaze neutral. The two were also leaders and this plan meeting was pretty damn important, even though it was mostly coulson's idea.

Natasha came quickly and with purpose. She was immediately near Ororo and smiled to her as well as coulson while waiting. She then saw Mike and was relieved that coulson brought him, knowing bruce wouldn't be too far by since they needed his input. Seeing mike and bruce interact both pleased and worried her. Although she was very happy for bruce to find someone, she was also concerned for mike's safety, not that bruce wouldn't dream of hurting him but she had no trust in the hulk. Regardless of her trust for bruce, she was still weary

Bruce was last, and felt the pressure of being here, but not too much. He then saw mike and admittedly was surprised, but glad, that he was here. Quickly he sat near him and gave a very soft hello to him, while offering a sweet smile. He then saw Tony mouth out his question and bruce's only response was a 'not now' glare. When tony complied he gave a soft sigh of relief, and then returned to his attention to coulson. He didn't want to say anything, knowing coulson or tony would start. Hopefully the meeting would start with something unrelated to the hulk.

[Ororo Munroe]

Coulson smiled seeing the rest of the group had arrived.

"Good. We're all here. I've called you all here so we can start making plans. Training, inventing, whatever it takes. Not all of us are Avengers or super heroes. All of our experiences are different. We have to do whatever it takes to win this war. Loki's already taken over but we need to make sure to take it all back." said Coulson.

He paused glancing around at the others.

"Unfortunately I haven't heard from Thor, Jane Foster, Nick Fury, Maria Hill, or Clint. I haven't heard replies on any of the SHIELD frequencies. Some of them could still be alive and have no way to contact us. Or are prisoners of Loki." said Coulson.

He paused hearing him and frowned.

"The only two ways I know of are the Teseract and the Bifrost. And last I heard the Bifrost was destroyed. Even if they repaired it is under Loki's control now and the Teseract was hidden away by Thor I'm sure. Although with Loki having taken over he could have the Teseract as well." said Coulson.

Ororo nodded as Coulson spoke.

"You are right. Many of my teammates the X-men are missing as well. Only Colossus and I made it here. The others could be dead, or out there somewhere. Or imprisoned by Loki. We need to find a way to Asgard. If he has any of our allies as prisoners that will probably be where he's keeping them." said Ororo.

She sighed hearing him.

"What about the Asgardians we have here? Queen Frigga, Volstagg, Fandrall, Saga, and Soma. Surely there must be a way back to Asgard in case someone was stranded here or something like that." said Ororo.

Mike smiled as Bruce came in. He saw Tony's look and sighed hoping Tony wasn't going to make a big deal of this. He then listened to the conversation and nodded with Ororo.

"She's right. If there's a way to Asgard one of them will know it. Even if it's nothing but a legend to them it might be our only chance." said Mike.

He personally had no friends or family that he thought Loki would have captured. They are all most likely dead or on Earth somewhere if he was lucky.

"Coulson is right about the training. I'm willing to learn. The few of us who can fight our skill levels are different. We need to prepare. I doubt Loki will give us months of time to prepare. So we need to be prepared to fight any moment as well." said Mike.

[Natasha Romanoff(Black Widow)]

"Coulson's also right in that we need to put anything we can in. Powers or no powers, we need everyone. Everyone. It's important for us to get our homes back. Our lives back" Steve responded. He was completely stone-faced serious. When all the rest talked about Asgard and the people who were from there that could tell the location, he only could agree. They were the only ones that knew. Then he responded sadly "If thor's with Loki, then the tesseract is too. Loki's not stupid. He may be chaotic but he's not stupid. He probably knows that thor knows where it is"

"Training I'm all for. We're gonna need all the work we can get. So no wasting time" Bruce responded calmly. He then listened about the people from asgard and nodded about that too. He didn't have much to say admittedly. He then sighed, knowing what was coming up but didn't have the courage or the willingness to talk about it.

Tony saw Mike get unamused by him and realized that unsurprisingly the two wanted to keep it quiet. He then turned and listened to the dicussions made and responded "Mike's right. Loki is not going to wait when we're ready. He'll want us when we're scattering about. We have to make sure we're prepared all the time. That bastard can come at any time"

"I never thought I'd say this but Stark's absolutely right" Natasha responded "Loki can come with a lot of people if he wanted to or just come by himself. Either way he's very powerful and this time it can't just be five of us. It has to be all of us" She then listened about the asgardians and responded "Yeah. They might be our only chance for a lead to get to Asgard. That's where probably all the prisoners or captured people Loki wanted are there"

[Ororo Munroe]

Coulson nodded glad the plans were moving forward.

"Mike, Natasha. I want you two to talk to the Asgardians. Mike can take with Fandrall and Volstagg since he's already close with them. Natasha you can talk to Frigga, Soma and Saga. Find out what you know and tell us at tomorrow's meeting. I think we need to start having these daily. Even if it's just 30 minute meetings so we're all in the loop. And we decide what to tell the others. I know SHIELD was big on secrets but some things should remain secrets. The less people who know about them the less likely someone's going to slip something. Or reveal it through torture." said Coulson.

"Tony and Bruce you keep working on weapons and inventions in your lab. We need all the help we can get. I'm scheduling our next training session soon. I think we should train in groups but not all of us at once. Training can wear you out and if we ended up attacked some of us would need to stay fresh for battle." said Coulson.

Mike was grateful Tony wasn't making a big deal of it. He wondered how many of the others knew they were dating yet. He was sure it was only a matter of time but there was the selfish part of him who wanted to have Bruce all to himself. It served him right for having a genius boyfriend. Bruce had to spend most of his free time in the lab helping out Tony or meditating to not risk unleashing Hulk.

He found himself blushing as Tony said he was right as he felt proud people were accepting his opinion. He felt like a part of the team. He was surprised as Coulson gave him and Natasha the assignment of talking to the Asgardians and he gave out instructions to the other as well. He nodded at Coulson's suggestion.

"Then the Teseract's out. Whether Loki has it or it's still hidden it's lost to us." said Mike.

Ororo nodded.

"I will want to be part of those training sessions. I was one of the teachers at my school and we used to have a room that was programmed for combat. We called it the Danger Room. I'd like to help out in training." said Ororo.

[Natasha Romanoff(Black Widow)]

"Roger, Coulson. These asgardians know a hell of a lot more than any of us here, they're our only best shot" Natasha responded. When she was assigned to talk to the queen as well as the two females, she smirked. She got a pretty high job but she couldn't help but find it amusing that she had to question a queen. She then nodded about assigning every day to have a half an hour for meetings. Organization was something Coulson was incredibly good at. Keeping secrets another.... And yet as he said keep secrets and it was best to have them remained, she couldn't help but inwardly cringe. Fury told her about Coulson's condition and she knew it was for his own good NOT to know and yet it was technically still wrong.

"Teams of training do sound reasonable" She said

Steve couldn't help but feel off about lying. Well, keeping secrets wasn't really lying... More like keeping the truth away. But to Steve it didn't matter. It was lying. The soldiers here were incredibly important and they needed to keep in touch with them all. The worst thing to do was to blow bridges down. Steve hummed softly but said nothing. Coulson was right fundamentally. If someone got captured and interrogated, plans could become very much taken and even used to their disadvantage.

So he just forgot about that... For now. Instead he smirked as Tony said he wanted dibs on being part of the "first team assigned". Steve couldn't help but chuckle "Of course you do"

Tony nodded, knowing Bruce he would be best in a lab. Bruce had the fortunate gift of having a brilliant mind as well as unbeatable strength. He nodded at Coulson's command for both himself and bruce to get to work in the lab with as much free time as they had. Otherwise they would need to train. He raised his hand with a somewhat insistent smile "Hey Coulson, make sure you give me dibs on the first team assigned alright?" He then chuckled as Steve responded that of course he wanted it. Tony responded playfully "Hey I can be a team player as well as a solo act!"

Bruce covered his amused grin with his hand as Tony began to lighten the air with his playful act of calling dibs on a team. He then was glad to see that Coulson was actually giving Mike a powerful assignment of questioning Volstagg and Fandral. It meant they trusted him. If it meant trusting him less, then so be it. It gave Mike something to do while Bruce was assigned to either train or be stuck in the lab. Well, it was better than taking large walks across the country. He hummed in disappointment at the fact the tesseract was useless to find now that it was in Loki's grasp. He wanted a sample to inspect what it could do.

[Detective Mike Stone]

Mike smiled glad to be charge with such a task. He chuckled at the banter between Steve and Tony.

"Sometimes I swear you two tease and argue with each other like an old married couple." said Mike.

He grinned waiting for their reactions to that joke. He then focused back on the mission and nodded.

"Teams do sound good especially for those like myself who have little or no experience in fighting. The Asgardians could be helpful with that. They're warriors and could give us some good strategies or moves we haven't though of." said Mike.

Mike sighed but glanced at Bruce who seemed disappointed by the Teseract.

"It's probably best we don't have it. Not that I want Loki to have it. But it's really too powerful and too destructive. Thor did the right thing to take it away to lock it up. I just hope Loki doesn't use it against us." said Mike.

Coulson was glad everyone was on board with his suggestions. He then chuckled watching Steve and Tony bicker. He then tried not to laugh hearing Mike's comment.

"I was wondering when someone would say that." said Coulson.

He then glanced at Tony.

"But sure you can have "first dibs" as you called it." said Coulson.

Ororo nodded glad to the plans on asking the Asgardians and the training. She knew they wouldn't have much time before they attacked. She laughed at Mike's joke and Coulson's response.

"Do we have anything else to go over? Because I think we should set up training schedules. There's only a handful of us and not a lot of us are training. So perhaps we could have a group running or practicing martial arts. While another is training with weapons. We can't waste time we don't have. We don't even know if we'll have a week before they attack us." said Ororo.

[Steve Rogers(Captain America)]

"And we're the kids who are forced to watch it" Natasha agreed with mike, her smile showing. She tried not to laugh and instead give a amused response. She was really liking this young man. She then nodded as Mike wisely pointed out that teams were beneficial especially since they had warriors such as the asgardians. She nodded then to Ororo who pointed out that training schedules should come in handy. And that wasting time was not a good idea "I agree with her, Coulson. I suggest we have separate schedules for groups of certain areas of training. And that we start as soon as possible. I can be in charge of martial arts, that's always been my biggest strength"

Steve couldn't help but give a goodhearted chuckle at Mike's comment. He then responded "Hey stone. You forget that compared to my age, Tony's barely out of the womb so it'd be pretty awkward to marry someone who could be my grandkid" He then laughed at Tony who responded to both Mike and him. He then listened as Mike explained to bruce that it'd be best to not have the tesseract "He's right, Banner. That thing could easily do more harm than good in our hands. Regardless of loki or us, that tesseract is best away from everyone" He then nodded about teams and schedule making when it came to training.

Tony gave a annoyed look and replied "We're never going down the aisle stone, I promise you that" He then snorted as Steve pointed out his age and whatnot comparing it with Stark's own age. He replied to Steve with a amused grin "Tell me Rogers, between the both of us, who's the more techno savvy and experienced with the times?" He then heard Coulson allow him dibs on the first team and he responded with his fist raised up, his response a simple "Yes!". He then heard Natasha and Ororo point out specific scheduling and smiled as Natasha called martial arts. "You're looking at a former weapons manufacturer. I can teach the others a damn good thing or two on weaponry easily"

"I know, I know. It's just my curiosity. As a scientist I always like to see how things work. I guess the scientist in me wants to know about it. But you're right mike, it's safe out of my hands or anyone's hands for that matter. It's very dangerous with all that power" Bruce replied to Mike who saw his disappointment. He sighed and rubbed his hair "I'll find some other curiosity, I'll get over it. Let's focus on what's truly important. Which is preventing Loki from keeping his control on us"

[Detective Mike Stone]

Mike grinned.

"I guess so." said Mike.

Mike chuckled at Steve and Tony.

"Age is just a number now adays. Besides you look good for a guy over 70 years old. It's a shame you work so much. I'm sure you've got a ton of fan girls who'd love to go out with you. Probably some guys too." said Mike.

Mike snorted hearing Coulson's comment.

"Wow. Some people don't wait very long to try do that." said Mike.

Mike chuckled.

"And all Iron Captain fans out there will be sad to hear that news." said Mike.

Mike smiled glad the training was agreed upon.

"I'll probably stick with Volstagg and Fandrall as we seem to be a good bond." said Mike.

He paused turning to Mike and smiled seeing Bruce accept not having the Teseract.

"I may be selfish in saying this but I don't want you near any more radiation. I don't want to lose you or risk you getting turned into something worse than Hulk. Something no one can control." said Mike.

Ororo chuckled at their antics.

"If these meetings are going to be this entertaining I might come to more of these." Ororo.

She paused glad the others were agreeing with the training.

"Then we should begin them as soon as possible. Perhaps have small classes. Or even one on one training sessions if necessary. We can improve our skills or train skills to those who don't have it or aren't up to the level as the rest of us." said Ororo.

Ororo looked confused.

"What is this Teseract?" asked Ororo.

Coulson grinned watching them all banter and talk.

"Mike is right about one thing. You do have a lot of fans. There were a lot of SHIELD agents who came up to me and Maria and asked if you were single." said Coulson.

He nodded agreeing about the schedules.

"Yes seperate training is important. We can all pitch in teaching them our various styles. And those with powers or weapons will help as well. Some of Loki's allies could be as strang as Queen Frigga and the other Asgardians. Or they could have other super powered people working for them." said Coulson.

He paused with a frown.

"I'm worried of him enslaving people with his staff. He did it to a few people including Hawkeye. We do not need a repeat of that especially if he tries turning us against each other." said Coulson.

He paused hearing Ooro's question.

"It was a powerful energy source that Red Skull and HYDRA tried to use to conquer the world in the 40s. It was stopped but we found it and tried to use it to create weapons. To help protect from threats like Loki and the Chitauri. But Mike is right that its power is too great for anyone to control. It's better off in Asgard wherever it is." said Coulson.

[Steve Rogers(Captain America)]

"Same. I should've brought popcorn and soda" Natasha chuckled at Ororo's comment. She then nodded as people agreed to the idea of training classes "Good. Then we'll have seperate classes. One for weapons which tony can teach while ororo and I can have classes of our own" She then smirked, proud to be a teacher of martial arts. If there was one thing she was good at, it was definitely that. She then proceeded to explain the tesseract but was beaten by coulson. She pointed to him and replied "What he said"

"Oh cut it out, Mike" Steve waved his hand, almost like a petulant grandfather or father. He then turned to coulson and rolled his eyes "Don't encourage him!" He then laughed a little more at Mike's other comment of Iron Captain shippers. He then smirked at Tony's pretend disgust and then got serious about all the important plans. He then nodded as Coulson rightfully got nervous about the staff "Yeah that staff is pretty dangerous in itself. We better keep an eye for that too"

"Oh boo hoo. They forgot the both of us are dating already" Tony snarkily replied to Mike's comment of disappointed shippers. He then made a throw up face as Coulson suggested Captain America had fangirls before becoming really serious about all the dicussions. He smiled as Natasha suggested he could teach a weaponry class while Coulson made him nervous about the staff. He turned to Mike and Banner talking and replied "Banner, don't worry about it. With us, you'll be fine"

"Believe me mike. I'd be happy never to see huge amounts of radiation ever again. I can be dangerous sometimes" Bruce replied. Although more confident with the hulk, he still had guilt and angst over it. A lot of it. He replied "I don't want to hurt anyone here. I'm already a danger as the hulk sometimes, god knows what would happen if I even came close to the tesseract. God knows what loki could or would do if he caught me"

[Detective Mike Stone]

Ororo chuckled.

"Definitely would have been a good idea." agreed Ororo.

She nodded.

"Good training has been dealt with. We will need to speak to everyone and find out their skill set. I'm sure probably have no training or fighting experience at all. I can speak for the rest of you but Piotr was one of our best students. He can fight and his mutation gives him a metallic skin. Probably even stronger than your suits of armor Tony. So very little could hurt him." said Ororo.

She nodded about the tesseract.

"Then perhaps it's a good thing it's gone. A powerful weapon like that could have destroyed the world in the wrong hands." said Ororo.

Mike chuckled at Steve.

"Fine I'll stop Mom." said Mike, teasing him.

He glanced at Tony and chuckled.

"Like that'd stop people from fantasizing or shipping people. There's probably some who would love to be Mrs. Stark or Mrs. Rogers." said Mike.

Mike nodded.

"Of course he'll be fine. No one's taking him from me." said Mike.

Coulson chuckled.

"It's not like you didn't know you had fans. I probably acted too much more like a fan than an agent when met." said Coulson, sheepishly.

Coulson nodded.

"We need to destroy it if possible. Trying to use it against them could fail and if he takes back the staff we're back where we started." said Coulson.

[Natasha Romanoff(Black Widow)]

Natasha couldn't help but smile a little at the conversation between Mike, Tony and Steve. It was honestly amusing. She was also glad most of it was settled. She then noticed Mike respond that nobody would hurt Bruce with him around. It gave her some pretty good confidence the hulk would be tameable thanks to Mike's efforts. She then turned to Coulson mentioning the tesseract more. She then replied softly "If he has both those things he might be able to find us faster. Which brings me to another topic. What about security measures?"

Tony rolled his eyes as Coulson mentioned his fanboyism. He then smirked amusedly as Mike pointed out that being with someone probably didn't matter. He replied with a sarcastic sigh "Alas, Tony Stark must be the heartbreaker once again. Even if girls are desperate to get with me or Steve anyway" Tony smiled softly as Mike protectively responded to him about Banner. He then chuckled to Natasha's point on security "That will be left to me, romanoff. I got that covered. With JARVIS as the admin of my security system NOTHING will be found"

Steve groaned a little as Mike continued to push but was secretly amused by the young man's antics. He then turned to Coulson and shrugged amusedly at him "It was flattering in all honesty. Not used to having fans at all" He then rubbed his hair as Coulson mentioned the staff "With both those weapons, Loki would be more powerful. We need to make sure that if the staff is around here somewhere we destroy it for sure"

Bruce couldn't help but blush as Mike talked about him. He then turned to Ororo's comment about skill sets "That's very true. Ororo brings up a point. Some of these people probably never even been in a war let alone a single fight. We can't just lend them a weapon so learning their skill sets before training them should be a priority"
