(OCC: January 21st, early evening. A thread between Hogun, Trigger, and Loki. To commence the whole voice thing for trigger)
Loki patiently waited in his office, his spellbook at the ready and two empty chairs alongside a relatively interesting bowl on a rather large table. He came up with his plan to help hogun give trigger a voice that the warrior felt his boyfriend deserved. Loki wasn't sure how this was going to go but they finally, finally managed to get trigger open to the idea at long last. So they came to a agreement to talk about it more and, if trigger was truly ready, to proceed with the spell. He waited for hogun and trigger, hoping trigger wasn't too nervous.

Trigger as he walked with hogun to loki's office began to have some form of second thoughts. He was scared to be quite frank. He had a voice once and it went horribly wrong. What if this did? What if he was alone and no one would hear him? What if he was forced into a corner, damned to hear his own screams again? He was afraid. But hogun insisted it would be good for him. It would make life easier, he said. Hogun also reminded him that hogun was just as quiet as he was and felt like it was unfair. So for the sake of hogun, he agreed finally to it. If only to hear both him and loki out of this new idea they had. Trigger sighed as they went closer to the office. He turned to hogun and thought nervously And you are sure he does not want anything in return? Are you sure this is a good idea?

Hogun smiled at him. "Yes it is. You were tortured and hurt on Earth. I can't change what those monsters did to you or take away your pain. But I can give you back what they took from you. Your voice. Even if it's just a few hours a day. You deserve it back 24/7 but this is the best I could do." said Hogun. He paused taking his hand and giving him a hug and a quick kiss. He then pulled away from him and spoke again. "But you have to want this too. Neither of us are going to force this on you. If you're scared, uncomfortable or just don' t want to do it I'll march in there myself and tell Loki you changed your mind. And neither of us will judge you or say anything. We won't bring it up again. I want you to be happy but if you're happier without it I understand." said Hogun. |

Trigger's nervous gaze slowly turned into a trusting one as hogun explained some more that this was his way of helping him heal from trigger's past. That this sharing exchange was the best they could do and that it was something hogun was happy to do. He then allowed hogun to take his hand, hug him and kiss him. Trigger relaxed some more as hogun talked to him. He was told that he was just in control as they were and that nobody was going to force him. He could still walk away. And loki along with hogun would not be resentful or judgmental. That, if anything, they just wanted his consent and happiness. Trigger felt his heart pound and his flight or fight response beckon him to run and hide. But then he thought about it and realized that he was going to eventually need a voice. Especially for his job, which demanded public speaking. Besides, hogun was right. This was to help him, not hurt him. It was something hogun wanted to do and he wasn't here to hurt trigger.
Calmly, and with a deep breath, he turned to hogun and replied Alright. If this is what you think will help me then I consent. I am happy. But perhaps it is time to stop living in the past. Perhaps it is time to try again He held his boyfriend's hand and nodded I want to do it. I think this is a good change for us He then knocked on the door of loki's office. Trying to push himself, he wanted to do it. It was maybe a step in the right direction

Loki meanwhile was waiting but heard a male voice speaking to another. He was unsurprised for he knew who it was. It was hogun and he waited as he awaited the final decision. Hogun was right. There was no force or judgement on his part. It was actually easier to not do it but loki was more than happy to do it if trigger wanted. And it seemed he wanted to, for someone knocked on his door indicating entrance. He replied calmly but with purpose "You both may enter. The door is unlocked. Just preparing" It was true, he was getting ready for the spell for trigger to use.

Hogun grinned as Trigger returned his kiss and relaxed enough to do it. "I know you won't regret this. Of course only one of us will be able to talk to each other. So I guess we may have to start using sign language or have paper around to write to each other if necessary." said Hogun. He knew Trigger was a telepath but he wasn't and without his voice, he couldn't speak to him. Hogun could speak to him but it'd be one way with his voice or telepathy while Hogun didn't have his voice. He then heard Loki's voice and grinned as they walked inside. "Then let's begin." said Hogun. He paused walking inside with Hogun. "Good morning your majesty." said Hogun. |

Trigger couldn't help but smile playfully. He used his hands as he signed back I can teach you. It is difficult at first but once you get the hang of it. Words will flow easily. He smiled as Loki allowed them in, listening with interest as Loki explained the spell. Trigger held Hogun's hand, nervousness returning. Eventually he calmed down again and nodded Very well. I suppose we should proceed

Loki smiled to Hogun, replying "Good morning, friend. You and Trigger can sit down. I will explain a bit more of what we will do" Loki allowed Trigger and Hogun to sit. The god took a deep breath, explaining "I would begin with a few connecting potions, which are potions that help your souls connect in the more literal sense" Loki pointed to Trigger and Hogun's hands "After I did that prep, you both would hold your hands and I will start with the main spell. This spell is known as Caiea. We can start when you are ready, Trigger"

Hogun grinned. "I look forward to it." replied Hogun. Hogun nodded at Loki and sat down ready to begin. "Then guide us through his Loki. I don't want to screw this up by accident. I know some spells can be very delicate from listening to you and Queen Frigga. I don't want to mess it up by accident." said Hogun. |
