(ooc: January 11th. Noon.) Darius was nervous as he approached the garden. He'd asked Beron to come here to talk about the latest guard patrols and how to improve them. He had panicked and chickened out from asking him out. Beron had kissed him and woke him from a sleeping curse. But he just didn't know to do this right. He'd asked out around trying to be discreet and gotten help from many people. And had decided to turn this meeting into a surprise date. He'd gotten some fruits, deserts, and other things but the main course was one of Beron's favorite meals. He'd been friends with him for so long and cooking wasn't his strong suit. But he'd asked the kitchen staff to help him and after many abysmal failures he'd come up with this meal. He paused glancing around worried that maybe he wasn't going to come. Or something else came up. "I shouldn't have chickened out and told him it was about guard duties. What if he doesn't come?" whispered Darius. He began pacing as the picnic basket and blanket itself were hidden under a cloaking spell. Until the moment Beron arrived. He just hoped he would come. He was so caught up in waiting he didn't hear the footsteps of someone coming into the garden. Beron |

Beron was quite surprised that darius had yet to ask him out. He knew darius was going to but he just kept waiting. But maybe beron was just holding onto false hope. After all they were in a state of panic due to being trapped by Jacob's constant booby traps in their search for john. It was clear darius had feelings for him but the question was when would he act upon them? Beron couldn't wait for the chance. So he took advantage of every chance he could spend time with darius. When darius asked him to talk about business, beron decided to start the romance for him, to help darius out in the romance game. He picked a large bouquet of flowers, flowers he knew darius would like, and decided to surprise him that way and ask him out himself.
Beron hoped he wasn't late, as he didn't really like being that way. Being late as a child got him bad spankings from his birth father and old habits die hard. He rushed and saw darius in the field and as he approached he went over and replied "Darius, I hope you don't mind but I got you a surprise" He then gave darius the bouquet of flowers. He then noticed the picnic table and replied "What is this? A picnic?" He then turned to darius with a soft smile and replied "Is that for us?"

Darius saw Beron come in as the illusion vanished revealing the picnic. He smiled as Beron said he had a surprise too handing him flowers. "These are lovely. I tried to ask you out but I chickened out. So I turned into a surprise. I'm sorry if I'm not good at this." said Darius. He set the flowers from Beron down on the table. "I'm glad you made it. I was worried something had come or you weren't going to come." said Darius. |

"Do not apologize. This is new for us both. What is important is that we care for one another and try our best" Beron optimistically replied. He held darius' hands and replied "I can teach you what I know. We can work on this together. I just want to be with you" He then smiled as darius replied he was glad to see him. That he was scared beron wasn't going to show up. Beron then decided to be a bit braver and kiss darius on the lips. He then replied softly "I would never dare miss a chance to spend time with you"
He then saw the picnic again and replied "Shall we begin our lovely picnic?"

Darius smiled at him. "Why have I been so blind for so long? I could have been with you much sooner." said Darius. He paused at his words and smiled. "I'd like that." said Darius. He grinned shyly at Beron's words and smiled. "You really mean that?" asked Darius. He nodded. "Yes. I made sure to get as many of your favorites as I could." said Darius. |

"Because you were afraid. Like I was. But we aren't afraid anymore and now we can be together" Beron assured, understanding how darius felt shame and guilt. But he wanted to move on from that now and enjoy their romance. He wanted to have this relationship and knew that their love would blossom so much more overtime. He then smiled as darius asked if he meant it. He then boldly kissed him once more replying "Of course I mean it. I would not say it if I did not mean it" He then smiled as he saw his favorite bread, fruit and meats in the basket. He took darius' hand sitting and proceeding to make themselves plates with a big smile "You truly spoil me, dearest darius"

Darius nodded. "You're right. I guess the only thing that matters is we're together now." said Darius. He was shocked as Beron kissed him and he returned it. As they both pulled ba ck Darius grinned. "I'm glad I'm conscious for that one." said Darius, teasing him. He grinned sheepishly. "I didn' t over do it did I? I just wanted it to be perfect." said Darius. |
