Reason of Choice(Why did you pick this character?): This is a way different version from the 2003 one. The 2003 one is a orphan raised by shredder and the shredder there basically has no bad intentions with karai. This one is the daughter of splinter stolen by shredder. Thought she'd be really interesting to play here and here alone. Plus I like her overall

Karai overall is a well-meaning, intelligent, spirited, noble, determined and sincere individual. However, she's also immensely vengeful, hot-headed, stubborn and aggressive. She doesn't trust very well, for many reasons, but when she does trust she trusts whole-heartedly and deliberately does her best to protect those she cares for. She's friendly and kind but sometimes has a hard time showing it due to having a difficult time showing her sensitive side. She tries to handle her emotions but when pushed to a breaking point can retaliate passionately and violently. She is quite caring and understanding underneath her irritable and stern outlook. She's also immensely independent, determined to make her opinion known or show her skill.
History:
Karai was born Hamato Miwa in Toyko, Japan, her parents named Tang Shen and Hamato Yoshi. She never got to know her mother due to Oroku Saki killing her in the middle of a fight between him and Yoshi. Assuming Yoshi to be killed, he took in Miwa as his own and renamed her karai. He raised her as his own, making up a lie that it was YOSHI that killed her mother and not saki. He trained her in nijitsu, making her into one of his prized soldiers and she became a kunoichi by the time she was thirteen. She had a craving to know about her mother and felt resentful about Yoshi just like saki did, but for her own reasons.
She eventually moved to new York at sixteen with saki after word had spread that Yoshi was alive and training ninjas of his own. Karai, not one to miss the chance to avenge her mother, agreed to follow. She obeyed Saki's words and searched for answers, hunting down the turtles once she figured out they were his students. She started a uneasy friendship with Leonardo that turned into a personal enemyship for quite some time. She then confronted Yoshi himself one night when he was to rescue a student of his called April O'Neil. She decreed that she would avenge her mother at any cost. To her annoyance Yoshi retreated at the sight of her. At the time she didn't understand why, but would some time later. After this fight she confronted Leonardo again, capturing him for the other turtles to find so she could find Yoshi herself. But she failed at that, and Leonardo confronted her, telling her to back off from his family and that Yoshi was not the murderer of her mother. And he was right. Karai eventually captured Yoshi once more, who called himself Splinter now, by poisoning him and having him taken so shredder could kill him and bait his turtles for a trap to kill them also. Karai, feeling pity for splinter despite herself and feeling doubt that he was the villain her father thought him to be, tried to spare him by allowing him a fight.
Saki allowed it and it gave the turtles a chance to rescue their master. Karai, with tigerclaw, then made a plan to spy on them. Karai played a ruse to pretend she was on their side and then was confronted by splinter again, who showed her proof that oroku saki was lying to her. Karai realized then Leonardo and splinter were innocent, and that saki had lied to her all her life. Angry, resentful and feeling guilt for hurting splinter, she sacrificed herself to be captured. Saki then admitted he wasn't her father and that Yoshi was, sending her away to a prison cell to 'reason' with her. Karai refused to listen to him after that and was semi grateful when the turtles found her again and sent her to their home. She then stayed with them for a few months, hiding due to saki's forces hunting her down. She bonded with the turtles a bit and bonded especially with her father. She then asked splinter for the truth. To which he did explain that saki was adopted by Yoshi's father as his own son and was raised beside Yoshi as a brother. Their rivalry over tang shen got violent, saki killed shen in combat and took Karai away from Yoshi. Karai, angry, demanded for revenge but splinter encouraged her that being together was more important. She didn't listen though, too angry at the lies and the pain saki caused. She confronted saki only to get captured and used as bait for the turtles and splinter to get.
They nearly succeeded but then shredder tried to kill Leonardo, causing Leonardo to accidentally drop her into the pile of ooze shredder used as a baiting tool. To make it appear like she was going to be mutated, but shredder's actual plan was to mutate the turtles to kill splinter. Unfortunately shredder's impulsive and hateful nature caused karai to indeed get mutated into a snake like creature. And for a while she struggled with that and her freedom. She hid away to the streets for a year before getting captured by foot forces again, where shredder had his scientist stockman make a brain worm to control her but also to subside her snake like urges. For a while she was his slave, forced to do his bidding and even forced to enjoy it. She confronted splinter once more thanks to this brainworm, forcing him to combat in exchange for the turtles lives. Splinter defeated her while also freeing her from the brainworm. She was then sucked by a water pipe down the sewers, where she hid for a time before going off to toyko for another year. She took refuge with a friend named Shingami, who cured her mental state as well as give her spells to help karai self heal and allow herself to control her mutation and urges. She returned with shingami to rebuild the foot, taking down shredder at any cost, pleased to see that her father hurt him so much that he was in the hospital. Made it all easier to take him down. She rebuild her own foot clan, wanting revenge.
The turtles, April and Splinter all both welcomed and criticized her. Saying this wasn't worth it. With Splinter insisting that this anger she carried was making her just like Saki. Karai, despite being aware of her father's true points, was shameful for her actions and wanted to fix it her own way as she believed it to be her burden. She became good friends with the turtles though, being a ally when possible and going out of her way for her real father if need be. She unfortunately was captured once more but thankfully managed to escape in time and save Leonardo and april from getting killed. She then hunted shredder down when she could, taking alliance with the mighty mutianimals. Shredder, now in a official mutant form, confronted her for a final time, saying it was fit she die like her mother. Outraged, she impulsively struck his heart, only to be shocked it was shielded by mutagen, she was then beaten severely and nearly died in a fire by saki's hand. She survived but had to go to the hospital for a while, healing naturally but feeling shame for not taking shredder down and failing to assist in saving her own father. Karai for a while let herself heal, awaiting the next mission. When one day she awoke in a land that wasn't her own, a place filled with gold and new people.
She then was welcomed by Johnny and Loki, who explained the situation. She agreed to serve but on only one condition, that if shredder was to come, he was not to be near her or he was to be killed if he was on a enemy side. They agreed to these terms with her and even gave her some info about her father possibly being alive. Determined to fix her mistakes and be good to her father, she agreed to stay to find and save her father.
