(OCC: January 16th, afternoon. Friendship between Coulson and splinter. I'm sorry. I couldn't resist)
Splinter was still healing. The good news was he could walk without pain and could breathe without pain. But he still had a sore chest and still had bandaging he had to wear to heal from his more upfront wounds. So he was still confined to the healing room they had, forced to not fight for the time being. He had to accept that, and he relatively was fine with it. He would always fight the next time if he needed to. He was beyond grateful they decided to trust him and help him. Splinter had recalled how Coulson and tony quickly saved him, with the help of warren's healing blood and the assistance of healthy members. He then had polite, but firm, questioning of who he was. He explained and was relieved that many believed him. He knew it was hard to believe but since there were other mutants they could think it was reasonable. Splinter had never gotten the chance to thank Coulson for his kindness, as the man was busy assisting tony in leading the rebellion. But he had talked to Coulson here or there and liked the man.
He stayed in his bed, relieved to find allies here. But he also stayed there feeling shame and guilt for his family being away from his grasp. He felt like he should be back home, helping his sons or at least guide them to their own lives. Not be in a world that wasn't his own. He promised to never abandon his children. He never wanted that. He wanted so badly to be a good parent. He sighed, frustrated by his circumstances. He thought being against saki was bad, but no, at least he had his family. Here, he was alone. For the moment at least. And he could only rely on his allies. He heard footsteps and saw Coulson, hoping his new friend would distract the wanderings of his own mind. He smiled, his ears perking up at the sight of Coulson "Ah. Agent Coulson. A pleasure to see you again" He then sighed "I heard about the fight, I have seen the results. I hope that you are doing well"
