Personality: Leonardo is the de facto leader of the group and the most "spiritual" of the four. He has a very close bond with Splinter, and has a strong sense of honor, ethics, and Bushido. Leonardo is sensitive and self-doubting Raphael often quarrels with him and resents his leadership, sarcastically calling Leonardo "Fearless Leader", although the two are shown to be very close at times. Though Leonardo's relationships with his other brothers Michelangelo and Donatello are not as volatile, both have made comments alluding to the high standards the former has set, and his tendency to make them look bad. Despite this, his brothers view him as a pillar of strength and are at a loss when he is injured or absent. One of Leonardo's most prominent qualities is his determination to believe the best in people, even potential enemies. But after getting really hurt and being taught by the Ancient One he became less stern on his brothers while still being their leader and trying to keep them safe.
History:
Leonardo led his team to fight several Shredders including a one revived from the past, and a cybernetic one in the future and the present day. Along with his brothers, Master Splinter, April, Casey, and other friends they were finally thought to be at peace. Then Raphael and Splinter disappeared. Leonardo ordered them to stay put but then Michelangelo and Donatello shortly disappeared after that. Thinking his family was in danger he soon found himself in a new world. He met a man named Malachite who befriended him. He told him he'd help him with his family but they were imprisoned by Nostalgia Critic's army and that he would need help. Malachite said he'd help him saying Critic had hurt him in the past and he wanted to bring him down. Leonardo agreed to the help unaware what Malachite realy wanted. Once the deal was struck Malachite enslaved Leonardo wiping his memories of old life from him implanting false ones. Leonardo now served Malachite as well as Rita and Facilier believing he'd always served them. His honor and loyalty to them is unquestioned and he'll defend them and his new comrades if they're put in danger.
