Personality:
He's short-tempered getting angry easily but with boxing and martial arts, he's able to keep himself calm and not get too upset. He had visions from a young age but people thought he was making things up or he'd been dreaming. He stopped talking about them afraid people would think he was crazy. He stopped what visions he could and tried to ignore ones he couldn't. The guilt did eat at him at times so he distracted himself with reading and later boxing and martial arts. He's fun, and charming when he wants to be. Although his love life never really turned out too well. People he dated he'd get visions of when he touched them or kissed them which often ended dates quickly so he gave up after a while.
Growing up his love for history made him pursue a career in archeology. He loves going around the world solving ancient mysteries, uncovering lost treasures, and bringing them safely to museums or private collectors. He became proud of his job and enjoys being considered experienced enough for people to come to him quite often in the past few years. He also learned Arabic and starting to learn hieroglyphics to make his job easier on him. His desire to help people has only increased over the years and he often has gotten into trouble in his travels and expeditions. Thanks to his visions he often stays a step ahead enough to keep himself and anyone around him alive.
His hobbies are reading, boxing, and martial arts. He loves solving word searches in his spare time as they help distract him and unwind. He's often on his cell phone when he has a signal reading or playing games like backgammon and solitaire. Ancient Egypt: He was born ages ago in Egypt as Prince Khufu, son of Ramses II. He had a pretty sheltered life in a sense always having to travel around with his father, guards or both. But the temple was one of the few places he could walk freely as the guards remained outside. He met the priestess Shayera Hol there and they became friends. In time they fell in love. But he kept it secret afraid they would be split apart or worse someone trying to harm Shayera. As a prince, he knew if anyone was punished it might be her and he couldn't let anything happen to her.
Getting Caught: On one particular night, they met in secret and were in her bedroom. He tried to get her into the palace but it was more likely they'd be discovered. He hated sneaking around and had was considering giving up the throne. He couldn't imagine a life without her. It might be hard and they may have to travel far and may never see Egypt or their family and friends again. They would be together and that would be enough. He was sure of it. But before he could ask her to run away with him they were interrupted by the priest Hath-Set found them. They barely managed to get some clothes on and escaped. He gave chase and they fled into the desert.
Ending in Tragedy: They thought they were safe. Sure they didn't have any supplies but Khufu was convinced they'd lost him. And hoped they could sneak back to the kingdom long enough to get some supplies. Running away seemed like the best option now. However, Hath-Set seemed to track them down after all. They found a spaceship that had crashed in the desert. Hath-Set had attacked them. Khufu had tried in a last valiant effort to save Shayera attacking Hath-Set first in hopes of at least buying her time to get to safety. But Hath-Set was faster and killed them both. Khufu's last moments were trying to reach Shayera but he collapsed just inches from her and died. Coming in contact with the ship's metal had started a process of reincarnation over many lifetimes where he would reunite with Shayera only for Hath-Set to find them and history to repeat itself.

You Can't Go Home Again: While visiting his family after a recent expedition his father was mugged on the way home from work. It was the priest Hath Set back to attack in this lifetime but had attacked Joseph's father mistaking him for Joseph. His father had a striking resemblance to him enough to fool some people. And Joseph feared for his father's life. After he got checked out of the hospital, he learned the attacker had got away and there was no sign of him. Joseph worried someone was after him and didn't want to endanger his family. His father recovered from the wound but had to be on bed rest for a couple of weeks. Joseph cut the visit short vowing to find out who was after him or at least stay away until he did to not endanger his father any further.
Returning to Metropolis: Now returning home he decided he needed some investigating of his own. But he needed a disguise to not tip of anyone coming after him. He decided to adopt the name Scythian and designed an outfit that had a mask. He figured it'd block bullets and knifes not sure what weapon to shield himself from in case someone came after him. He knew he couldn't do this alone so he contacts the local PD. But with no evidence, the attack on his father's life was ruled as an attempted mugging and he couldn't get any help. After realizing he was on his own, he began to look for answers starting in Metropolis as he did hear rumors someone describing the mugger's description had been spotted in Metropolis shortly after the attack on his father but had disappeared again. So, for now, he'd be incognito while in Metropolis going out in disguises when possible afraid to get himself or others in danger while he tried to solve the mystery.
Equipment:
Uniform: Joseph's superhero disguise with a headdress. It has golden armor with black robes underneath it. He didn't have much material to work with and he liked going with the Egyptian theme. He could always upgrade the outfit later and just hoped he'd be intimidating enough for now.
Armor: Shields him from physical attacks like guns and bullets. Although armor could get dented on stronger weapons/attacks. He made the weapon off armor he'd uncovered recently and kept a set to himself as a souvenir. But now he had polished it up and updated it so no one would likely tell this was ancient armor. Sometimes replacing parts that might be too rusted or broken with other parts. Made from a mixture of gold, silver, and tin metals. </li>
Twin Swords: He designed the sword cases to look like clubs to blend in more. The swords are made from silver and are the only part of his ensemble that is brand new. He's a bit rusty at them so he's focusing on practicing to use them before going on his search. </ul><p>

But each life has ended in tragedy and death for them both as Hath-Set kept tracking them down. More of a passive power as he can't trigger it until his death.
Archaeology: He went to college graduating at the age of 21 with a bachelor's degree. And the past 7 years proved his credentials working hard in his field. Going on digs and expeditions becoming one of the youngest experts in the field but one person began to take it seriously the longer he was doing it.
