Quote: "Time to light things up"
Name: Leslie Willis/Livewire
Age: 25
Character From: Superman: The Animated Series
Reason of Choice(Why did you pick this character?): one of my favorite villains.
Picture:
Personality:
She's has a loud and abrasive personality. She is short-tempered getting provoked and angry easily. As a shock jock, she was very vocal about her hatred of Superman. And she loves to insult him and others trying to defend him. She had a devoted fan club of people who listened to her and even came to a few live performances she had in the town park. She loved being adored and went by her name Livewire during her shows.
Upon gaining her powers she saw it as a way to get more respect and not have anyone push her around anymore like Superman or the cops. She blamed Superman at first for what she'd become but grew to love her powers. And fought him several times. Her hatred of Superman never waned and she was willing to team up with others to take him out but even those failed. But she doesn't let it get her down. Each time she gets caught she just knows it's a matter of time before she's out again causing chaos and loving every second of it.
History:
Childhood: Leslie was born to her parents Mark and Lucy. Her dad left when he found his girlfriend was pregnant so Leslie never really knew her father. But her mother did. And like all moms and daughters they fought. As she grew older she felt like her mother didn't understand her. Her mother's job also kept her busy so Leslie often had babysitters when she was younger and then took care of herself when she was old enough. She learned quickly that the only one she could really depend on was herself.
Following Her Dreams: She loved sharing her views and opinions on things and was often called up to the radio shows and tv stations. She became quite so popular she was given a show of her own. She took up the stage name Livewire and became quite popular in Metropolis. One of the subjects she talked about frequently was Superman and her dislike of him. She even ridiculed people who called in trying to stand up for him or didn't agree with her which was very often.
The Accident: After a few years of fame, she decided to have a celebration for her third anniversary in the park. She started doing her show live drawing in quite a crowd but a big thunderstorm started rolling in. Superman and the cops tried to evacuate but Leslie just ignored him. And turned the crowd against them as well convincing them they were just trying to ruin their fun. But when it got dangerous the crowd began to flee as thunderstruck the stage. Superman pushed Leslie away taking the hit but as she ran away it bounced off him and hit her. Her hair turned white and she collapsed.
Birth of A New Villain: She was rushed to the hospital. After she woke up saw reporters question Superman on the tv. She destroyed it with a blast of electricity. Hearing the commotion some nurses came in as Leslie blasted them back into the hall away from her. She then decided to test out her new powers and left turning into electricity and going out on the town. She started attacking the city and Superman showed up calling her miss Willis and trying to bring her back to the hospital. Leslie laughed as she called herself Livewire. They fought and she retreated after awhile. Superman tricked her into a hydroelectric plant and managed to defeat her by knocking her into the water. She was sent to prison but vowed revenge.
Coming Back Again and Again:
She kept breaking out of the variety of prisons she was locked into. Sometimes through machinery or other electronic devices, some unknowing guard or other employee brought in. Or she was freed by other villains who required her help. She never stayed out as long as she wanted as often Superman would just eventually defeat her whether she was alone or working with others. And she'd go back to another prison.
Present Day: On her recent escape from prison, she soon learned Superman was dead. This made her happy he was gone but also disappointed she hadn't done it herself. Or at least gotten to see it. She decided to start having some fun by attacking Metropolis and with no Superman around who was going to stop her.
Allies: other villains in her world; Loki's Army.
Enemies: Superman; Supergirl; Batgirl; The Justice League; rebellion.
Plans: get into a fight.
Powers/Abilities:
Electrokinesis: The ability to manipulate electricity. She can fire lightning blasts from her hands. She can also form weapons and tools like whips or chains similar to the lantern rings. But they are made of electricity. She's also used her powers to send people into the air or knock them to the ground without severely harming them proving she can alter the dosage of blasts she uses. If she touched someone long enough she could potentially electrocute them to death or at least unconsciousness. However, this power isn't invincible. Water is her main weakness. Attacked by water or submerged in it shorts out her powers and usually knocks her out. Others with absorption powers like Parasite could drain her powers leaving her defenseless and weak.
Levitation: Leslie can fire herself into the air using her electric energy. But this isn't real levitation or flying. So if her powers are disrupted or nullified she'd fall back towards the ground.
Electric Mimicry: She can also turn into electricity and escape into electric outlets and power lines. While in this state she can manipulate anything around her that is powered by electricity like tv screens or radios. She could even cause a blackout if she short-circuited too many objects.
Energy Absorption: Her powers are like a limited battery. They can run out by themselves or she can use them up during a fight. To regain her power she has to gain a lot of energy usually from a source like an electric power plant which she has used to cause blackouts. Or anything electrical nearby.
Superhuman Durability: It took a lot to take her out. She could take strong hits from Superman and not get knocked out right away. She wasn't invincible by any means but her body was stronger than the average human. Although once she's submerged in the water her powers short circuit and knock her out.
Superhuman Strength: She can enhance her punches and kicks with electricity making them stronger to even hurt Superman. But her strength has its limits and would drain like any use of her powers. Or if she was short-circuited by water like before. The most she can lift is 300 pounds.
Manipulation: She's very skilled at getting people to listen to her opinion and convince them. When cops showed up at her live performance during a thunderstorm she convinced the crowd to stay at first saying the cops and Superman were trying to ruin their fun. After gaining her powers she's still good at conning and manipulating people to help her escape prison or lure others into traps.

Improvisation: She's able to adapt and change strategies mid-battle. Often she's been able to get away using her surroundings or hostages if necessary if it looks like she's losing and needs to escape.
Fighting Abilities: She's far from an expert but she can defend herself in a fight quite easily. Using her electric powers when necessary to boost give her kicks and punches more of an edge. She's even kept Superman on the ropes a few times.
