Reason of Choice(Why did you pick this character?): He's one of my favorite characters. I always felt bad for him learing his family wasn't that good. And he even turned on the x-men including his best friend bobby for recognition which he felt he wasn't getting in the x-men.

Personality: As an abused kid it takes him awhile to trust anyone. And when he does he practically clings to them. And if anyone does betray him he takes it very hard. Bobby was the first real friend he had despite them having opposite powers. Then he met Rogue and she became another good friend. His crush on her faded with time as she saw how happy she was with Bobby. When he was taken a slave he was resistant at first but his friendship with Johnny helped him adjust.
History:
His father was very abusive towards him and got drunk often and John and his mother were his punching bags. When he was sober he'd apologize and his mother would forgive him. And he'd reluctantly agree wanting to make peace in the family. John's powers began to develop when he was in high school when while practicing with a lighter he accidentally set the gym on fire. Labeled as a freak he fled in terror.
His father labeled him a freak and during one his drunken rampages tried to kill him. His mother took the blow and died. The cops were called and his father was arrested. Xavier arrived and took John to the Institute. Despite his best efforts John didn't really fit in much. He began to control his power to manipulate fire and befriended Bobby Drake and Rogue. When Rogue went missing he wasn't allowed to go help and was forced to stay back at the mantion with Bobby and the others. But he reunited with her after she was rescued. He had a crush on Rogue but knows she and Bobby like each other. so he's not going to stand in their way.
When Loki attacked he was captured by some of Loki's soldiers and brought to him. He was made as a slave and befriended Johnny Storm. Surprised they had similar powers and the exact same name Johnny sort of become his new friend here. For the first time he actually felt safe. When Johnny was made Loki's consort he feared of losing his only friend but Johnny told him he would still see him. Just maybe not as often as they used to.
