Waking Up To A Surprise (Bruce/Hulk)

[Detective Mike Stone]

(ooc: January 1st. Night.)

Mike yawned as he woke up. He hadn't really got much sleep since Loki's attacks had begun. He paused as he was half-asleep but soon realized something was different. A pair of big arms were wrapped around him pretty tightly. He wasn't sure what was going on. He paused reaching a light on the desk as he saw who was holding him and he almost yelped in surprise. He was in Bruce's room and the Hulk had his arms around him and squeezing him like a teddy bear. Thankfully it wasn't too tightly but there's no way he was getting out of his grip. Even sleeping he was still strong to his irritation.

He'd met Bruce this morning. Mike couldn't deny he'd been attracted to the Bruce but it was his alter ego Hulk he was concerned about. Mike wondered if he'd slept walked here but shook his head. He'd never sleep walked before which meant Hulk must have picked him up in his sleep and brought him here. He just wasn't really sure why.

"Ok focus. He's got to turn back into Bruce sometime. So I'll just have to wait until then." said Mike.

He then froze as he saw Hulk's eyes open as he realized he was awake. This could get really bad.

"Hi. I need to get back to my room. So if you could just let me go I can be on my way." said Mike.

[Bruce Banner(The Hulk)]

Bruce was one to be careful, but sometimes even when he slept was when Hulk took over, Hulk was the one to indeed having taken Mike during his sleep. Both Bruce and Hulk had a liking towards Mike, as well as a attraction to him so the sleep-walking brute took Mike as a security blanket of sorts and kept him like a teddy bear. Now it was late at night and he heard whispering, and since Bruce hadn't had time to snap out of it, Hulk was still there. Suddenly he felt stirring and it easily woke the hulk up, the creature was sensitive even during a calm situation. Hulk at first looked at Mike curiously as the young man spoke, cocking his head to the side as if he was curious. Then it became rather obvious that the hulk brought mike closer to him but he somehow did not tighten his hold on the other man. The hulk sniffed Mike curiously before grinning curiously.

Hulk instantly did not think about getting rid of mike. So naturally Hulk responded "No. Hulk like nice boy. Hulk thinks he is good. Nice boy does not anger Hulk. Hulk won't hurt nice boy. Hulk is nice to nice boys" He sniffed the young man again and smiled "Hulk can tell that you are nice. Smell is good"

(OCC: Oh god. Hulk is such a creep. Anyway, how long do you want hulk to be around for the thread? I can do this as long as you want)

[Detective Mike Stone]

(ooc: for a little while. maybe for a page or close to it. just to have some fun. and more awkard for when bruce returns.)

Mike looked in surprise as Hulk spoke. Hulk thought he was good and he didn't make him mad. Hulk said he wouldn't hurt him and he was nice to nice boys. That he smelled good. Mike blushed suddenly realizing what he meant as Hulk kept sniffing him.

"Thank you for the compliment. I'm glad you don't want to hurt me. But I want to sleep in my own bed tonight." said Mike.

He paused looking at the clock realizing it said 3 o'clock and he looked shocked. he'd slept for hours. somehow being held by hulk had helped him sleep longer than he had in weeks. But Hulk was using him as a teddy bear or a pillow. And Bruce probably wasn't going to be thrilled about this.

"Hulk let me go. Please." said Mike.

He tried to move Hulk's hands apart but the guy's grip was still too strong. He was running out of ideas as he glanced at Hulk wondering if the creature really did have a crush on him. Or if this was just something Hulk did in his sleep bring people into bed with him.

[Bruce Banner(The Hulk)]

"Hulk never hurt someone as nice as nice boy" Hulk said cheerfully, smiling as if he was once more a child. Hulk didn't hug him tightly because surprisingly the hulk was aware of how small and thin he was. Nevertheless the hulk was extremely affectionate with his new friend/play-thing. "But hulk likes boy here. He won't be mean, hulk promises" Hulk said, not angry instead he sounded stubborn and really hurt by Mike's want to go away. He started giggling, not taking Mike's command to release him seriously, and found the boy cute as he tried to get out of his grip. Hulk just pulled mike closer and nuzzled the boy, like a young child with his toys. Hulk had no intentions on hurting mike but was a bit too naïve to see that Mike was uncomfortable. In fact, Hulk thought mike was fooling around.

"Nice boy is funny. Hulk loves nice boy" He nuzzled the boy again. Hulk then patted the man and said "Hulk wants nice boy to stay longer. Then hulk let go of him" The green creature was very tame when it came to mike. He was smiling and acting very much like a five year old with a elmo-type of speaking.

Mike was confused than ever but glad Hulk wasn't going to hurt him.

"I'm glad to hear that. I don't want you to be mad at me or want to smash me like you did to those aliens in New York a few months ago." said Mike.

He nods as Hulk said he liked him and wouldn't be mean and Mike could tell he was hurt. To his surprise Hulk pulled him closer and nuzzled him which he found odd and yet comforting. He looked in shock as Hulk said he loved him and was nuzzling and patting him. The Hulk had feelings for him? This was something he hadn't expected. Even though he still found Bruce very hot and even the Hulk was attractive in his own way. With those muscles and his loyalty to his friends. He blushed at the thoughts thinking he shouldn't go there. He looked at Hulk as he said he wanted him to stay longer and he'd let go. Staying for awhile didn't sound that bad and at least Hulk hadn't gone farther than just sleeping in the same bed.

"Alright. I'll stay. But what do mean when you said you love me? Like a friend?" asked Mike.

Hulk was extremely not regretful of smashing the aliens in new york, he loved smashing them. They were nasty things "Hulk hurt them because they deserved it" Hulk responded proudly "Hulk smash bad people away. It fun" He kept smiling as he looked at mike. The green creature enjoyed the human, far more than Mike ever hoped for. Hulk continued his affectionate nuzzles and pats, doing this to deliberately show Mike that his company was well-enjoyed. "Hulk thinks nice boy is very good. No smashing nice boy at all. Hulk is not mad. Hulk loves nice boy" He repeated the last statement like a confirmation unlike the first time where he was joyful about it.

He smiled cheerfully and made a pleasant purr as Mike said that he would stay. That was all he wanted. Hulk enjoyed Mike both in personality and in looks. Like mike, hulk had a attraction to him but not just like for two people, hulk was the exaggerated version of Bruce so bruce really was attracted to Mike but didn't want to harm mike but hulk didn't care. The creature, despite the scientist in him wanting to make it happen naturally, hulk wanted it to happen now. So his pats and nuzzles were immediate and tender. He listened to mike eventually and responded cheerfully "Hulk don't see why nice boy is confused" He rubbed mike's back like a teddy bear but something about it was to give mike a relaxed feeling "Hulk loves nice boy. Friends can love each other but hulk thinks nice boy is more than that. Scientist man doesn't know what to do but hulk loves nice boy enough to do something"

[Detective Mike Stone]

Mike smiled.

"Yeah it is fun. I wish I was as strong as you. All I can do is turn invisible." said Mike.

He paused as Hulk spoke again saying he wouldn't smash him. Hulk wasn't mad that he loved him.

"I didn't realize you could stay out this long. I thought you could only be out if you're angry." said Mike.

He paused as Hulk said he loved him again. He kept patting him and nuzzling him which made Mike uneasy and yet he could feel Hulk was telling the truth.

"I'm sorry. I just didn't expect you to like me. I mean I was attracted to Bruce when I first saw him. And you're attractive too." said Mike.

He paused as Hulk confirmed he loved him and that scientist man doesn't know what to do but hulk loves him enough to try something. Mike was flattered Hulk cared about him to try something like this. While Bruce was being more cautious which made sense as the guy was a scientist and had been on the run for so long before his team up with the Avengers and after it.

"Wait. You're saying Bruce likes me too?" said Mike.

He paused looking at Hulk.

"I was always curious about this. Are you a part of Bruce? Or you more like two beings sharing one body?" asked Mike.

He wasn't sure if this would last but Hulk was being so sincere. And on impulse he leaned forward and kissed the Hulk on the lips.

(ooc: not sure how much longer we want the hulk out. this is fun but bruce returning out of the blue would be amusing as well. xd)

"Turning invisible is useful, hulk thinks" Hulk replied cheerfully "Also, scientist man is always angry therefore hulk is always here, scientist man keeps hulk away from others a lot of times" Hulk shrugged, as if this wasn't a big deal to him. To bruce it was a huge change and life-ruiner but hulk was almost naive to what he was doing. In fact, if bruce said that hulk was killing him inside the hulk would just be confused. He saw Mike less uneasy but still a bit unsure, but hulk was no stranger to persuasion so he just continued what he was doing. "Hulk thanks nice boy. Hulk isn't sure about his looks and neither is scientist man but nice to have nice boy say he pretty. Hulk thinks nice boy is very pretty"

Hulk nodded persistantly as Mike started putting two and two together about bruce too. Hulk had a bad feeling the scientist man would push him away so he made sure that bruce would have to tell the truth about him and mike. Hulk replied "Yes. Scientist man loves nice boy. But he too nervous and afraid. He thinks you wouldn't like him because hulk himself wouldn't like you. He was wrong" Hulk purred as Mike continued chattering, his voice sounded soothing to the great beast, like a musical tune that soothed the savage beast. "Hulk isn't sure. Might be both. That he shares same body with bruce but has different personality and different soul. It confusing to hulk, maybe scientist man can tell you!"

Suddenly the hulk was shocked that the other boy began kissing him on the lips. Hulk instantly took it as the step forward and the monster kissed right back, gently pulling the boy closer to him as they did so. As he and mike continued kissing, the hulk got smaller, his skin paler and suddenly it was bruce completely indulged with kissing mike. It continued for a while before bruce hummed and opened his eyes. At first bruce thought this was a dream and continued what he was doing, before his eyes snapped completely open and he quickly panicked, letting out a surprised holler. He accidently pushed himself out of the bed, leaving mike on the bed alone, and Bruce got up almost as quickly as he fell down. "Mike?! Oh. My. God" He said shocked out of his skull and completely embarrassed "I am so sorry! That was so out of line! Hulk fucking..." He swore and responded "Mike, did he force you to kiss him? Please tell me he didn't force you to kiss him!"

[Detective Mike Stone]

Mike grinned.

"I suppose it is. It's helped me before." said Mike.

He paused looking surprise.

"You both are always angry? That's kind of sad. I wish there was a way the two of you could be happy and find a way to change without anger." said Mike.

He paused as Hulk thanked him and said he was pretty. Mike listened as he said Bruce liked him too but was too nervous.

"I guess he was more nervous about you. It's a real shame you guys don't share memories, or a mind. That you're split in two like this. Having two separate lives in one body. It's not fair to either of you." said Mike.

They were kissing and Mike was enjoying it as Hulk kissed him back. Suddenly Bruce pulled away jumping out of bed. Mike gasped blushing covering his eyes as Bruce was revealing more than just his feelings to him.

"You might want to put some pants on next time before you jump out of bed." said Mike.

He heard Bruce's question and shook his head.

"Well I went to bed in my own room and woke up here with the Hulk hugging me like a Teddy Bear in his sleep. He admitted both of you liked me and he wouldn't let go of me until I promised to stay and I did. I'm the one who kissed him and he kissed me back. And then Hulk turned back into you. I've been attracted to you since I saw you this morning but I didn't think you wanted me. Guess Hulk's more honest than you." said Mike.

[Bruce Banner(The Hulk)]

Everything mike said to hulk, whether be about the fact that it was a shame that the two were seperate people or the fact that mike wished it didn't have to have them be angry all the time, it was all gone in Bruce's memory bank. Bruce was beyond embarrassed, of course he really liked mike, but right now he was in a vunerable place. He wouldn't deny it but he definitely wasn't ready for such closeness so soon, obviously mike didn't mind it but Bruce did. When Mike said he needed to put on pants, Bruce turned around in confusion "What?" He then looked down and shouted in protest, deliberately using one of his hands to cover his private area and ran across the room, bashing in his drawers before eventually putting on boxers. "Mike. If you hate me for this I wouldn't blame you whatsoever. You can leave if you want and never talk to me again... you have no idea how sorry I am" He then listened to everything mike said and all of his fears and nervousness just poured within him.

"Shit. Fuck. Shit" Bruce mumbled as mike said hulk and he willingly kissed, which meant one thing and one thing only. That hulk spilled the beans about his feelings and now Bruce had to tell the truth about it. Bruce was beyond angry at himself but more or less afraid of what this meant. Mike obviously shown feelings and hulk pretty much represented what bruce deep down felt. That mike liked him physically and emotionally but was assuming bruce didn't want him, which was proven wrong. Bruce rubbed his hair before nervously responding "Well, hulk pushes people's boundries, especially mine. But he's right. I do like you a lot but I NEVER wanted this right now happen the way it happened. I want it naturally. Hulk's a fucking pervert" He growled at his stomach as if growling at the hulk and responded to mike "I'm sorry for bothering you like this mike. Maybe you should go back to your room and we'll figure it out soon"

[Detective Mike Stone]

Mike chuckled as Bruce said what? He kept his eyes covered as he heard Bruce rushing to get clothes on. Mike grinned seeing he had boxers on.

"Well I've seen more of you than I expected too. And you're more handsome than I imagined." said Mike.

He blushed realizing he'd admitted to basically fantasizing about him. He paused as Bruce said if he hated him.

"It takes two to kiss Bruce. If I hated you I wouldn't have agreed to stay or kissed you. The only reason you have to be sorry is your alter ego had to tell me how you felt. It'd be nice to hear it from you but Hulk's was actually pretty sweet. It was like I was seeing a different side to Hulk. There's more to him than just anger." said Mike.

Mike heard Bruce mumble something but couldn't really hear it so he ignored it. He nodded when Bruce talked about Hulk.

"Oh I know. I was nervous at first. I mean the guy could break me in half if he wanted to without even trying. But several times he said he would never hurt me. It was kind of flattering that out of everyone you and Hulk would want me." said Mike.'

He paused shaking his head.

"He's not a pervert. He just knows what he wants and takes it. Sure I wasn't happy he moved me in my sleep and hugged me in his sleep like a teddy bear. But at the same time it felt nice to be held like that. I felt safe. I haven't felt like that in a very long time." said Mike.

Mike paused at Bruce's words. He shook his head walking up to Bruce and gave him another kiss. He pulled back with a grin.

"I want you Bruce. I know you and Hulk want me too. This will be an unusual I admit. But I want to try if you do. I don't think Hulk will take no for an answer. And if he's not going to hurt me then there's nothing to worry about. Unless you're just afraid to get close to someone." said Mike.

He paused and sighed.

"I know that feeling all too well. I'm a mutant. My power is invisibility. Which I'm grateful for. When people find out I'm a mutant I'm usually hunted like an animal and I end up fleeing for my safety. But you know more than anyone what that's like. But I'll respect your decision if you don't want me. I'll try to convince Hulk but I'm not sure if he'll listen." said Mike.

[Bruce Banner(The Hulk)]

Bruce blushed extensively at Mike's praise of his physical beauty. The man was fantasizing about him and mike just admitted it now. It was obvious mike was attracted to him and bruce was surprised and humbled. Nobody really admired him that way, not even betty ross. Bruce felt flattered, enough to not be so embarrassed "Well at least I don't disgust you. Thanks... That... That means a lot to me. I'm flattered" Bruce stopped blushing after a while and started to focus once more. Mike was standing up for hulk and saying things that bruce never thought he would say. Yet he wanted these words to come out of Mike's mouth ever since they met, and bruce was honestly trying his hardest not to pinch himself because he didn't care if it was a dream. If it was, it was the best ever. Keep it while it lasted, bruce thought to himself.

Bruce nodded, agreeing with mike said. If it really was out of force or that if mike hated him, mike wouldn't of kissed him or the fact of willingly staying with hulk. Bruce actually felt so great to see hulk get along with someone, he hadn't been able to have hulk like anyone let alone be nice to them other than Tony Stark and Tony was taken. Besides, Mike was actually much hotter than tony ever was, so that was a plus too. "You're right. You have your choices so you kissing him was pretty much you too. You're right. I wanted to tell you myself but I wanted to plan it out at first. But now that it's out there, I guess it's ok. At least it's the truth and hulk was nice to you. Hulk being sweet to you means I really care about you though, I'm glad he likes you just as much as I do" There. He was starting to get out of his shell. He was now slowly but surely completely admitting his feelings. He wanted to tell him, so he was slowly starting too.

"I know. He's more... blunt. And pushy. You're right, he's more confident than I am I will admit that" Bruce admitted to Mike's defense of the hulk. He then softened up a bit as Mike admitted to having the hulk make him feel safe "I'm glad. That's what I wanted. All I want is for the people I do care about to be safe. Maybe that's the main reason for keeping the hulk away from people. I guess he proved me wrong in that he hurts everyone, he didn't hurt you and he actually cares about you like me"

Then suddenly mike got up and kissed bruce on the lips once more, Bruce felt the softness and tenderness of mike's kiss once more and enjoyed it. Bruce kissed back and when mike pulled back, a look of some disappointment admittedly showed. He then was very shocked to hear that mike really DID want him. That not only did he want bruce but was willing to accept the hulk was a part of him. That he was willing to try this. That hulk wouldn't take no for a answer but that he probably wasn't going to be a threat anyway. Bruce couldn't help but now immediately want mike to stay. So rejecting him would break his own heart as well as mike's. Mike was right with all of this. Why not give it a try? It was obvious mike wanted him and bruce wanted mike. And the hulk wanted bruce to be with mike because the creature himself cared about the boy. Bruce breathed before finally confessing "I was afraid of having you in my life because I was worried entirely about the... other guy. I wanted to keep you away from him because that was the only thing keeping me away from a relationship. But now that you showed that you care about me and that you're willing to give a shot, not to mention hulk really wanting you and all that. Maybe... Maybe it's high time I just give myself a break"

He looked over mike and held his hands. He breathed a bit before confessing once more "I'm willing to give it a shot. I'm really in love with you. I would've liked to be prepared or at least tell you myself but it is what it is. I want you mike. More than anyone else. Hulk's gonna push me to have you even if I wanted to push you away, which I don't anymore, so why not just try with someone who's incredibly charming and open-minded like you?"

He then listened as mike said he understood the feeling of being afraid of close bonds. That he himself had powers but was hunted down like a animal due to assumptions of being a mutant being something people feared. That he and bruce knew what that was like, which he did. He then frowned upsetfully as Mike said he will respect bruce's decision of not wanting him enough to convince hulk but bruce wanted to try now. Especially since he realized how open mike was "I want you mike. I really do want you. Hulk's too stubborn for me to control so even if I didn't want to admit it, he'd push me to the point of insanity. Mike, you and I do understand each other, it just scared me to think someone as sweet and handsome as you would want someone like me. A person with a monster inside. But you've shown me more willingness to try than anyone else" He then leaned close to mike and responded "Let's try. I want you. Maybe hulk was right in that I needed to tell you this"

[Detective Mike Stone]

Mike smiled at Bruce.

"You could never disgust me. Your hot, intelligent, funny. The whole package. And Hulk's a bit overprotective and super strong. It's like dating two guys I suppose. But I don't mind dating you and the Hulk. It'll be different but totally worth it." said Mike.

Mike couldn't help stare at Bruce's bare chest admiring his physique. He realized he was staring and blushd again. He smiled as Bruce spoke again.

"You know it doesn't need to be the perfect plan. It's not a science experiment. You could just pull me aside and tell me. That's all I needed. But I'm glad I know now." said Mike.

He grinned.

"It's good to know. I didn't think anything could calm Hulk down and he wasn't the same angry guy I've seen on the news or in the Battle of New York. He was almost normal. I wonder if he's becoming more like you somehow. If that's possible." said Mike.

Mike chuckled.

"Well I suppose. I'm not sure if it's confidence but that nothing seems to scare him. I mean there's not much that could harm him so why would he need to be scared." said Mike.

He nodded as Bruce continued.

"I think perhaps we can help him. I mean Angry Hulk is good for battles. But if Hulk was more like tonight I think people wouldn't be afraid of him. And treat him like the hero he is. Like Ben." said Mike.

Mike grinned as he kissed Bruce who returned the kiss. Bruce seemed to be speechless for awhile and Mike chuckled.

"Nice to know I have this effect on you." said Mike.

He grinned as Bruce finally spoke saying he was worried about how Hulk would react but obviously that wasn't a worry. He smiled as Bruce said he wanted him as he held his hands.

"You want to try with me. I'm so glad. You're really sure it's love? I mean we just met today." said Mike.

He chuckled.

"Well I don't know if it's love yet but I do know I'm attracted to you. I want you." said Mike.

He blushed as Bruce called him charming.

"Oh come on. I'm not that charming." said Mike.

He smiled as Bruce didn't take his chance to back out. That Bruce really did want to be with him. And Hulk probably wouldn't say no like they both figured.

"Hulk's not a monster anymore than the Thing is. Perhaps you should start trying to accept him. At least you have a human form. Poor Ben's stuck as the Thing. I wish we could help him find a way to turn human even if it was just some of the time so he could still be The Thing." said Mike.

Mike grinned pulling Bruce into a hug and then a long passionate kiss. He pulled back with a grin.

"Well you want to go for a midnight snack? I'm sure there's some leftovers in the fridge. Well once you put on some more clothes first. Wouldn't want people to think we've gotten too far. Although I'm sure people like Tony will probably ask anyway." said Mike.

He chuckled as he let go of Bruce so he could put more clothes on.

[Bruce Banner(The Hulk)]

Bruce couldn't help but smile as Mike said that he would never be disgusted by him, that he was hot, intelligent, funny and that Hulk was over-protective and strong, that the two would be very interesting and it would be worth it despite it being different. He blushed as Mike looked at his chest and felt a bit more confident, he was glad that he attracted another so much. "Well I appreciate that. I'm glad that you feel that way about me. I really do"

"You're right. You're not a science experiement. I guess just telling you privately could have made things less awkward but it happened now and I'm ok with it" Bruce admitted. Sure Hulk pretty much over-did it but to be honest, if Hulk didn't do it, bruce and mike wouldn't be having this necessary conversation. He smiled softly as Mike suggested that they talked more about the hulk and who he was. He calmly responded "Yeah, he did seem pretty normal with you now that you described him. I guess he really can be calm and act well when I'm not around. Also, nothing scares him, I guess he just is aware of his strength and isn't hesitant to use it. OK, we can try to help him I suppose. It would be nice to not have people screaming at me because they'll think I'll hulk out. The other guy, as it clearly shows now, does have a good side to him. As for ben, he definitely isn't a monster, just in a bad situation"

"Well, you're a good kisser" Bruce retorted with a smile. He then shrugged softly as Mike asked him if it was really love due to the fact they just met then stating he was glad that bruce wanted to try and that Mike definitely wanted him and was extremely attracted to him. "Ever heard of love at first sight?" Bruce teased, a smile to show he was kidding before he responded calmly "Seriously though, you're right. We DID just meet, I guess I was just saying the stuff I want to say but you're right, we're just starting out for now. We'll see what happens because you and I clearly are going to try" He then chuckled as Mike blushed "Stop lying. Of course you are. You're really cute when you blush" Now that mike was helping him get out of his shell, Bruce was being more open and honest about his feelings. Which was why he said that mike's blushing was cute. He was being more open now.

"That's true. I feel terrible having hulk come out and me going back to normal when he can't. I wish I could find a way to help him too. I want to accept Ben so I might as well try to accept hulk too because if I can't deal with him, ben's sure as hell going to notice" Bruce said, a softness in his tone as well as a lot of sympathy. He didn't like that ben had to suffer his abilities while Bruce was able to turn back into a human form. It wasn't entirely fair to complain about being a person who turned into a beast while Ben was forever looking like a beast.

He then was shocked that Mike pulled him into a passionate kiss but did not hesitant in kissing back. He enjoyed this so much and now that they were clearly going to start a relationship, Bruce was going to do his part as Mike clearly was doing his. He grinned back as Mike suggested getting a midnight snack, he was about to say that he was going to put on clothes but Mike said it for him and he chuckled at Mike's response that he didn't want people to think they've gotten too far, and that tony might talk about it. Bruce responded "Yeah, don't want them to have perverted ideas. Though, Tony I wouldn't be surprised in asking me. He's been pestering me since I arrived if I talked to you or not yet. He's onto us I think" He went over to go put on a Tshirt and sweatpants. He quickly put them on and smiled to mike "Let's go get something to eat shall we?"

Mike chuckled.

"Well I'm glad you feel the same way too. Or this would be really embarrassing." said Mike.

He smiled glad Bruce understood his feelings on the matter.

"It doesn't really matter now. It's not the way I'd have liked to hear you like me but I'm glad I know. When I kissed Hulk..."

He trailed off in shock.

"I kissed Hulk. He wouldn't let me go back to my own bed. I mean I really don't want people to think Hulk or you are taking advantage of me. You think Hulk would back off some and let me date you both? I really don't want people trying to defend my honor. Or worse giving him looks or teasing me thinking we've done more than we have. It's our business anyway but I really want our private life to well stay private." said Mike.

Mike nodded as Tony said Hulk was normal with him now.

"Yeah. Well as normal as a super strong guy with anger issues can get. I would like to help him too. I mean I guess I'm dating you both now. He's really a nice guy when he wants to be. He sorta reminds me of a kid sometimes and when he's angry he's throwing a temper tantrum. Perhaps in time he'll grow up. At least I hope so." said Mike.

Mike blushed as Bruce said hew as a good kisser. He grinned as Bruce said love at first sight.

"I suppose that has happened before. But I don't want to jinx it. I mean I really do have feelings for you. And I do think it will eventually become love. This is just kinda new to me so I don't want to screw it up." said Mike.

Mike blushed again when Bruce told him to stop lying. That he was charming. And he was cute when he blushed.

"Stop it. You're the charming one. Not me." said Mike.

Mike paused as they talked about Ben.

"Looks like we need to find a way to help you both out. I wish there was a way to give you and Ben both the ability to switch back and forth and be the same person." said Mike.

Mike paused at Bruce was silent for a bit. Then Bruce spoke up again as he got dressed. He chuckled at Bruce's words.

"Well people will think what they're going to think I guess. I don't want them to. But you can't stop people from thinking." said Mike.

Mike grinned as they headed to the kitchen.

"So what kind of food do they have here? I don't think I bothered to ask before." said Mike.

[Bruce Banner(The Hulk)]

"Maybe but we both feel the same way so it's all good" Bruce responded softly. He then listened as mike said it didn't matter how mike knew about bruce's feelings, they were out there now and they had hulk's support in a way. He then pondered with some sort of nervousness when mike started talking about hulk's self control and the fact that people might grow suspicious. To ensure mike of some sort bruce responded gently but with some sort of confidence "I don't think people are going to start spreading rumors about each other. We're the only people we have to trust during this situation. Besides, if hulk told you my feelings and didn't get upset I'm pretty sure he's fine with sharing you so long as I don't push you away from him. Also, I'll try to keep this private, maybe get tony or coulson to get people to mind their own business. Or maybe we can have faith in the others to not bother with us"

"Hulk IS a kid. A annoying kid I have to drag around with me. Maybe this relationship he has with you will mature him and give him some sort of self-control he needs" Bruce agreed when it came to Hulk again. As much as he was worried, Hulk proved to be good with mike so maybe it would work out. Bruce was going to give the benefit of the doubt.

"Me neither. You're a sweet person Mike. I don't want to screw it up or jinx it either. It's new to me too. So if I upset you or hulk upsets you, or I make a bad judgement or mistake, you're entirely free to tell me" Bruce said with honestly and some sort of affection. Now that bruce had mike willing to try and be in a relationship, Bruce was going to do his hardest to make it work. He wanted a companion and mike was now that said companion.

"We can agree that maybe we're both charming and call it even?" Bruce teased giving a slight wink to mike. He was obviously trying to flirt with mike by this point but it was worth a shot right?

"Me too but ben's origin of power is different to my own. He and I might have to have a chat. I don't want him to end up bitter against me because I can change and he can't" Bruce responded, feeling deeply guilty over this strength. Ben was forced to look the same but bruce could look normal.

"Yeah, you can't stop people's thoughts. If we could we wouldn't have any thoughts at all" Bruce agreed before looking into the refrigerator for food. He listened to mike's question and responded "Well they have some leftover meats apparently and some cheese and bread. Wanna make sandwhiches?"

[Detective Mike Stone]

Mike grinned and nodded.

"I'm glad we do." said Mike.

He paused as Bruce spoke again as he listened to him.

"Are you kidding? People spread rumors all the time. With this small group it's going to be like high school all over again." said Mike.

He paused blushing as he pointed out Bruce was fine sharing with Hulk.

"Well I guess it's going to come out eventually. It's just I'm a private person. I don't like to talk about myself much or have people talking about me." said Mike.

He rolled his eyes at the thought of Tony minding his own business.

"Really? You think Tony would mind his own business? He probably started a bet to see how long we'd finally become a couple." said Mike.

He chuckled as Bruce spoke about Hulk.

"A kid with anger issues. Only you can't put him in a time out until he cools off. I hope I can help him somehow." said Mike, chuckling.

He blushed a little as Bruce called him a sweet person.

"Then we should take this slow and at our own pace. How about this? Whenever you, hulk, or me upsets one of us we tell each other. We should be honest about everything. Not hold anything back." said Mike.

He paused as Bruce said they were both charming as he winked and Mike blushed again. Bruce just had an effect on him. Especially when he smiled.

"Alright. Fine. I'll agree with that." said Mike, grinning.

Mike paused at him.

"Well it's not so different. Ben and his team were changed by radiation from space. While you were changed by gamma radiation. Maybe he has access to some of Mr. Fantastic's notes. I mean the Baxter Building's gone I think. But if any of his notes on their powers survived then maybe you could try to help both of you. Maybe it's a longshot but it's worth a try right?" said Mike.

He nodded.

"I suppose you're right. If people are going to think what they're going to think." said Mike.

He grinned as Bruce suggested sandwiches.

"Sandwiches sound good. They got anything to drink in there?" asked Mike.

Bruce nodded in agreement to mike's first statement before chuckling softly as Mike pointed out the inaccuracy of his assumption nobody would really brag or talk about it. "Well I guess you're right by this point. I'll make sure we keep this private. If anybody says anything, I'll deal with it. You don't need to worry about it if you don't want to. If they bother you, just let me know" He knew that mike wasn't a big fan of rumors it seemed so bruce had to respect and acknowledge Mike's fears. He himself had his own personal pet peeves and he too was uncomfortable with rumors himself. Despite the optimism card, he knew that he didn't want anyone to get funny ideas.

"Then we won't let it become a issue. We can keep it to ourselves and let our business be our business. I can understand your feelings. Just because it comes out doesn't mean people need to make it a big thing. Sure people are gonna think whatever but we can definitely tell them to keep it to themselves" Bruce said in a assuring tone. He didn't want mike to feel bad for feeling the way he felt. Mike didn't make bruce feel bad for the way he felt so banner felt he needed to do the same.

"He's been nicer to me far more than other people when they met me. Of course Natasha and Coulson are far nicer to me now, and corgial when we all got to know each other for the first time, but tony was always friendly since the beginning. I'm pretty sure me telling him to back off will work. Sure he'll be a bit obnoxious but deep down he understands people preferring privacy over popularity" Bruce assured again. As much as mike's response made sense, Bruce was probably one of the only people who had a lot of trust and faith in tony. Sure he was arrogant and sarcastic but Tony, Bruce knew, was a very kind man. Even one who was empathetic.

"If he was calm around you now, he'll probably be calm around you later. But the idea of putting him on time out sounds hilarious" Bruce chuckled in amusement when the conversation came about Hulk once more. He then chuckled as Mike put a end to his teasing about which person was the cuter one. He nodded in satisfaction and just dropped it.

"It can be risky maybe even dangerous as well as a longshot. But helping myself and him would make both our lives easier. You're right though, he's not so different from me. I really do feel bad. I want to help him. So I'll definitely try your ideas out mike. They're pretty good at giving me the chance to help ben out as well as myself" Bruce responded, mike's ideas honestly making sense to the scientist. He didn't see no reason to reject it. After all, Bruce despite his trying to accept hulk was really interested in trying to maybe get rid of hulk or something down that line. As well as ben turn human because it seemed to both him and mike he certainly deserved some sort of happiness or contentment.

"Yeah they will, but I understand your feelings, mike" Bruce said in response. He then checked the fridge again to see that there was in fact things to drink. "Yeah, a couple of sodas, a couple bottles of apple juice and a lot of water. Which one would you like?" Bruce asked politely

[Detective Mike Stone]

Mike chuckled as well.

"I guess it can't be helped. I mean Volstagg and Fandral already seemed to know I liked you. I could see it in their faces even if they didn't say anything." said Mike.

He sighed running his hand through his hair.

"Well no one would pick on you. I mean you can turn into the Hulk. Well Tony might. It doesn't seem like much phases that guy." said Mike.

He paused as he heard him say if they bothered him to let him know.

"And what? Send the Hulk after them? I can take care of myself you know. I just don't want people talking about me. But I guess it's inevitable." said Mike.

He sighed and smiled at Bruce.

"Thanks for being so understanding. I don't mean to make this a big deal." said Mike.

Mike listened to him.

"Well he treated you like a person am I right? And not a ticking time bomb of rage waiting to go off at any moment. I hope I've done the same. I don't ever want to make you feel uncomfortable." said Mike.

He paused as Bruce said he'd talk to Tony and was sure he could get him to back up.

"Alright. I'll trust you on that. You know Tony better than I do. " said Mike.

Mike smirked shaking his head.

"I just hope he knows I was kidding. While you don't remember what he does I think he must know what you do. Or at least enough to know you were in love with me. I do think it's possible he's like an alternate personality in your brain that takes over when you turn into the Hulk. I'm just glad he's not angry at me. I've seen first hand what he did in New York after all." said Mike.

Mike smiled as Bruce agreed to try to help Ben.

"Well it's worth a try. You and Ben can't be much worse than you are now. And if it works maybe it'd help you control Hulk. And give Ben a human form."said Mike.

Mike smiled as he paused at him.

"Well I'm going to get a water. Not that staying up with you isn't a bad idea. I do want to get some more sleep tonight." said Mike.

[Bruce Banner(The Hulk)]

He chuckled in return about the inevitability of others knowing about them. He responded "Yeah well, maybe they're just very observant. It can't be helped though. We can try to be as private as we can though" Bruce didn't want to ignore Mike's personal feelings. He wanted him to be happy with this relationship after all.

"That's what I mean. Tony will pick on me. I'll make sure he doesn't" He chuckled, rolling his eyes at the thought. Teasing was just so childish. And pointless. He didn't know why it was so amusing. He never enjoyed it. He then raised his hands in mock defense "I know you can defend yourself and it may be inevitable but I'd still like to help you if I can. And no, not with the other guy, just with my own self. I'm intimidating as myself too!" He mockingly made a glare with a pouty frown, trying to make mike laugh.

"You're not don't worry. You're just being honest. I'm fine with privacy myself" Bruce responded assuringly. He then listened to mike's response about tony and nodded before smiling "Yes, that he did and you are treating me like a person. You are the one besides tony who actually found me and seperated him from the other guy but you're the first to ever be nice to the hulk also. Well I mean I know he forced you to be here but you willingly kissed him, you did treat him with kindness when you could've been just mean to him. That's something nobody really did. You made me feel more comfortable than I've had in a while" He came closer to mike and just smiled, glad to be around Mike's presence now.

"I know Tony will be cool with it. I'm sure he will. He's my friend. I trust him" Bruce responded back softly, assuringly. He continued to chat as the two were getting closer and kinder with each other "I hope so too. Hulk hopefully has a sense of humor. Maybe you're right in the fact he's my alternate personality. It makes sense. Since he knew I am in love with you" He smiled at that fact. He was shy about it still but it was true.

"It is worth a shot. At best it helps both me and ben in our own way, at worst it'll just make it less likely for ben to be human or for me to have a better temper with him." Bruce agreed. He then nodded as Mike said he would get a water, so he allowed mike to get water while he got some water for himself "Now that I think about it, I might need sleep since I work with tony and heaven knows what he'll get me to in the lab, he LOVES giving me ideas"
