Roomies (Tony)

[Peter Parker/Spiderman]

After a couple days in the makeshift hospital Peter P was being released into Tony's care. Coulson had shared with Tony the news that May Parker was believed to be dead. He hadn't told Peter yet and felt it might be better coming from Tony. She had been in her house during the attack and hadn't been seen escaping. Coulson had sent Tony to pick Peter P up and tell him the news.

Peter P sighed as he limped out of the hospital on crutches. Thankfully nothing was broken but he'd sprained his ankle among other injuries. He had escaped the battle before anything too serious and Frigga's magic had helped him some as well. He just probably wouldn't be fighting for a few days. As he made it to the door he saw Tony and grinned. He hadn't expected him to come get him. He grinned as he made his way to him.

"Hi Mr. Stark. Thanks for helping pick me up. Everything ok back at the base?" said Peter P.

How could he tell the poor kid that his aunt was believed to be dead? How could he ever tell such a terrible thing to peter? After all the poor kid was going through so far? He thought this on his walk to the hospital, which admittedly was not that far away from the base but still a good long walk enough to think. Tony rubbed his eyes on the way, thinking how the hell did he ever put himself in this position with Peter to be the one to tell him this horror. The man eventually went into the door and awaited the teen to come over to him so tony could help him get to the base. Tony couldn't help but smile weakly as the teen thanked him for picking him up. Asking if things were good back at the base. "Yep. All good. All fine and dandy" Tony said, a hint of distraction in his voice.

"Let's get you going huh? Um, hope the hospital was nice to you right?" Tony asked, trying his best to avoid the inevitable for now. He didn't want to tell him yet Tony had no choice. He had to tell peter the truth sooner or later.

[Peter Parker/Spiderman]

Peter smiled at him.

"Great. Let's head back. I'm glad Mary Jane survived. I've had a crush on her for years but after the Green Goblin nearly killed Aunt May, Mary Jane, and a bunch of children I decided my life is too dangerous for anyone. I was thinking of moving out so my friends and family could be safe. But I guess that doesn't really matter now with Loki having taken over." said Peter.

He sighed. Wondering if maybe he should reconsider his options. With the world in chaos even if they took over there would probably still be crime. But now that his secret was out could he deny Mary Jane again? Especially if she wanted to date him?

"Yeah. I mean they did what they could. I'm grateful there's hospitals at all." said Peter.

[Tony Stark(Iron Man)]

"Yeah. Yeah. Mary jane being alive is great, very good indeed. In fact whatever you were planning was good but now that things changed maybe you and her should try your relationship" Tony said absentmindedly, honestly distracted but only listening to make sure peter didn't immediately start questioning him. Tony closed his eyes mumbling to himself how he got himself in this situation, deliberately making sure peter heard none of it before listening to peter comment about the hospital doing what they could. That hospitals being here at all was something he was pretty grateful for. Tony nodded, a slight pain in his heart coming out for no apparent reason other than the fact he was hiding the very thing that could break peter apart.

"Alright parker. Let's get going" Tony said after a tiny while of standing there. The man quickly helped peter outside and walked him out. Eventually as they went on their way, Tony coughed and said hurtfully "Peter. There's something you need to know"

Peter smiled at him.

"The only reason I wasn't going to try was out of fear. Norman nearly killed her and Aunt May after he found out he I was. Two of the people who mattered most to me almost died because of me being a super hero. And now everyone I know is missing. Maybe dead. Mary Jane may be all i have left. But you're right. I can't let fear hold me back anymore. There's no guarantees. Mary Jane's not safe anymore whether I date her or not because of this war. I just hope she will let me. She was pretty upset when she found out." said Peter.

Peter nodded when Tony told him they should get going. Peter walked along with him and he paused as Tony said there was something he needed to know.

"What's wrong? Did Loki attack the base? Did someone get hurt?" asked Peter.

[Tony Stark(Iron Man)]

"I know, I know. I understand and I'm sure she will too. But now that she knows, go for it. Let her and you be together. And if she doesn't want to then maybe it's just not meant to be. But seeing the way she talked to you about it made it look like she really wants to try" Tony replied calmly, related to the topic of Mary Jane. Honestly Tony wanted peter to be with mary jane since it did in fact seem that she was all peter had left of his past by this point. He didn't know anything else other than encouraging peter to keep the things close to him closer. That's what tony did with pepper and he was still trying to find the woman.

"Peter... No. Loki didn't attack the base but we've got news about your aunt" Tony said, his tone extremely serious. He paused again very unsure about how to say this. He breathed and said "Peter. It's not good news. We got reports that she was last seen at the house and wasn't seen escaping. We don't think she made it" He then lost some control and tears threatened to stream down tony's face. His voice faltered "I'm so sorry peter. I'm so sorry. I don't think Aunt may made it"

[Peter Parker/Spiderman]

Peter nodded.

"I hope she'll forgive me. I love her but if relationships are built on trust. And if she doesn't feel she can trust me anymore I'd understand. I'd be happy if she even wanted to be my friend again. It's just up to her." said Peter.

He sighed and listened as Tony spoke up saying there was no attack and froze as he spoke about his aunt. He remained silent listening to Tony speak as his hands were starting to shake.

"No. Not Aunt May. I can't lose her too." said Peter.

He just felt weak as his legs gave out as he collapsed to the ground in tears. They found no trace of her. She wasn't a super hero. She was still recovering from Norman's attack on her.

"My family's dead. I'm all alone now. I don't want to be alone." whispered Peter.

He was surprised as he felt Tony pull him into a hug as Peter returned it hugging Tony tight.

"At least I still have you. If the offer's still available to stay with you I'll do the best I can to help and not be a bother. I can cook and clean and I'm a faster learner. Just don't send me away. I need a friend right now and you're all I've got." whispered Peter.

[Tony Stark(Iron Man)]

Tony only silently nodded in agreement when the situation dwelled with mary jane. When it came to relationships, Tony was more focused on improving himself then others so he had no judgement or ability to help others in their relationships. So whatever peter did was up to him and whatever mary jane was up to her. He didn't really focus on the issue.

Tony was not always a emotional man, he was only emotional with people he trusted or was close too, and peter was one of those. The tears on peter's face and the shaking of his hands were just signs of all the pain he just put on poor Peter. Tony felt very guilty as seen with his expressions. "I'm sorry peter. We just got the information. There's a lot of evidence to show that it's true. I really wish I wasn't going to tell you this but you have to know" Tony said with the utmost sincerity he could offer. He tried to say more but Peter collapsed in pure despair. Saying that he was alone and nobody was his family now. Tony KNEW that wasn't true and so swore inwardly to take care of peter. He wouldn't go the obediah stane way of it, which was to manipulate tony out of his birthright and company, but for only to be there for Peter.

The minute peter said he didn't want to be alone, Tony pulled Peter immediately into a tight hug. He felt Peter's hesitation but didn't care. He knew that peter needed comfort now. Especially since the official connection to his family was pretty much shattered. "I know" Tony confirmed, tears streaming down his face "I know you need me. The offer I gave you still stands, peter. You're more than welcome to stay with me. I would never lie about things that serious. Ever" When Peter said that he would cook, clean or learn Tony pulled away for a moment to look at peter's eyes "Parker. Don't you even think that I'm asking for anything in return. Sometimes you don't need to offer favors for kindness. Sometimes people want to help others simply because they care. I care about you parker. You're my friend and my home is your home no matter how much you need it" He hugged Peter again

Peter sobbed a little. He smiled as Tony hugged him. Peter hugged him back. Perhaps a little too tightly but Tony was being a good friend. He was comforting him. This was what he needed.

"Thank you. I don't think I could go through this alone." said Peter.

He paused looking at Tony in surprise and smiled.

"Sorry. You're right. I just don't want to be a burden. I don't even know if the Daily Bugle is still standing. I used to take photos of Spider-man and sell them to the Daily Bugle for money. It helped pay the bills. You think you could help me get a new camera? Taking pictures always helped relax me." said Peter.

He smiled at him.

"Oh man MJ. I don't know how she's going to take the news. MJ was like family to us. She was really hurt when my Uncle Ben died. This will probably destroy her. Could you tell her for me? I would but we're not speaking right now. And I don't want to go through another fight. Not right now." said Peter.

[Tony Stark(Iron Man)]

Peter's sobs were honestly heart-wrenching to hear, and to think it only took a few words to just completely destroy a person, words that came right out of Tony's mouth. Guilt was felt but the need to comfort was a stronger emotion for the moment. Tony hugged back and allowed the tight hold of Peter to take place. He couldn't bear to see the teen unhappy but smiled softly as Peter thanked him "You won't have to. I know it's very tough to hear things this bad at your age, believe me"

"You're not a burden. Don't ever think that. I'm able to have things be taken care of by myself or JARVIS, you being there won't affect anything" Tony replied stubbornly. The older man looked over peter as the teen asked to get a new camera, as it was a way to relax and cope for the teen "If that's what you need, absolutely. I can either find you the best camera near some places here or if they're destroyed I can easily make you one" He smiled softly again as Peter began to smile more.

Tony frowned again as Peter mentioned that MJ would also be very unhappy with the news. That it would probably destroy her too. That since peter hadn't talked to her, since she was mad at him for the lack of knowledge about his secrets. That he wanted Tony to go and tell her too. The billionaire sighed "From what you told me, she probably won't take it well. I guess I can tell her since you two are having your problems" He pondered before suggesting "You don't have to agree with me or even take it to consideration but maybe she'll trust you more if you start by telling her this. It's very tragic but it might come easier from your mouth since you shared a connection with aunt may just like she did" He gulped slightly and responded "But you're obviously in a very bad position too so if you still want me to tell her, feel free to ignore my suggestion"

[Peter Parker/Spiderman]

Peter smiled gratefully as he held Tony tightly.

"Thank you. I know you barely know me and you don't really have to do this. But it means a lot you're doing this. I'm glad you're nothing like Norman. I admired him once too and he turned into a psychopath, killed people, and nearly killed me, my aunt, and my girlfriend. And now it's well pretty much all for nothing. Aunt May's gone anyway." said Peter.

He smiled as Tony said he wasn't a burden. That they could help take care of him or things.

"I still want to help. Somehow. Although I don't know what I could do. I was going to go to college but that's probably not going to happen. Unless any of the schools survived Loki's attack. It'd take awhile to rebuild the world anyway. But first we need to take it back from Loki." said Peter.

Peter smiled at him as Tony said he'd get him a camera.

"Thank you. You're the best." said Peter.

He would still miss Aunt May but at least he wouldn't be alone. He'd have Tony and JARVIS. And maybe one day MJ.

"I know she won't. I do want to tell her but I don't even know if she'd speak to me. Let alone listen to me." said Peter.

He sighed listening to him.

"I know you're right. She probably would appreciate it from me. Especially since I screwed up by lying to her before. I wish she'd understand I was trying to protect her. No one knew I was Spider-man. Not even my aunt. I didn't have money or a bunch of gadgets like you to back me up. Or a team of secret agents like SHIELD. Green Goblin found out who I was and he nearly killed two of the people who mattered most to me. That's why I didn't tell her. I put her in danger enough as it is. But now she knows. I wonder if she'll even speak to me again." said Peter.

He sighed glancing at him.

"Maybe you could come with me when I talk to her. That way if she won't listen to me at least I tried. And you could tell her. I don't want to just blurt it out in an argument. That wouldn't be fair to Mary Jane or my aunt." said Peter.

[Tony Stark(Iron Man)]

(OCC: Just had the apprentice idea. Feel free to reject the offer, it's just part of the conversation)

"Well kindness I once thought was never free but there have been people, like Pepper, who proved me wrong in that. Kindness doesn't have to be for people you know really well. Trust me, if I knew your aunt far more than I did, I probably would be even more distraught than I am now. She clearly means a lot to you and we'll have a little memorial for her to make the pain easier if you want" Tony offered once more, regardless of Peter's humble response to him, he cared about the young man. Peter was similar to himself at a young age, more nervous and insecure, with time hopefully peter could be more assertive and carefree as every teen should've been. If the world wasn't still crumbling around them.

"The colleges around here are pretty much kaput I'm afraid" Tony said firmly "Regardless, if you still want to learn more, JARVIS has some educational programs so you can learn more about engineering and science. If you want...." His eyes beamed with excitement then "Peter. Maybe you could be my apprentice. That way you won't have to feel like a burden, which you're not, and have more to do" He didn't know if peter would like it but from the sounds of it, peter wanted to be useful. Maybe this was the way to do it.

Tony smiled as Peter told him he was the best, which tony knew he was but peter's words made him feel better, and listened as Peter continued chatting. Especially about Mary Jane. "Trust me. She'll want to talk about something as serious as this with someone she knows. Sure she's upset but from the looks of it, she clearly still cares about you enough to be this upset with you. Pepper acted this way with me sometimes when we started out but it worked out in the end" He said this to try and make peter feel more confident with the idea. He continued on as Peter continued on with this subject "Maybe she DOES understand but is too overwhelmed. You know what I mean? The both of you are in a world where shit's going down, her mom is missing too, her friends are scattered, her life forever changed and your secret being revealed was just the icing to the bullshit cake" He rubbed his head "Sorry, I'm not good with this sort of thing but the point is, if I know you and I do you seem to really want to try and mary jane will see that and get through this horrible crisis with someone like you"

"Sure! I can come over and try to set it up. And if she is still upset, I'll just take over but you should try first before anything. And if a arguement starts, I'll put a end to it, because I'm stubborn like that. Peter, trust me, she'll trust you more if you share serious stuff with her" Tony observed calmly and observantly

[Peter Parker/Spiderman]

Peter smiled at him.

"Thank you. I wish you'd gotten to meet her. She'd have liked you." said Peter.

He paused knowing he'd never see her again. He burst into tears again.

"My parents, my uncle, my aunt are dead. My friends they're all dead or missing. Mary Jane doesn't want anything to do with me. If it wasn't for you I'd be all alone. I don't want to be alone." said Peter.

He wiped the tears listening to Tony and frowned.

"I guess you're right." said Peter.

His face lit up as he grinned at Tony's offer to have Jarvis help him with his education.

"Thank you Tony. I'd love that." said Peter.

He froze in shock as Tony suggested he be his apprentice and Peter was speechless for a few minutes.

"Thank you! Of course I will. I always wanted to work with you. Even as an intern. Assistant's much better though." said Peter.

He laughed hugging Tony before wincing at his wounds as he held back.

"Guess I have to take it easy for awhile. I heal faster than most people but it still would take a few days for me to back to normal." said Peter.

He modded.

"I do want to tell her. She deserves to know. For all I know her family's gone too. At least she still has the hope they could be alive out there somewhere." said Peter.

He nodded as Tony agreed with him.

"No you're doing fine. You don't try to sugarcoat things or baby me. And I appreciate that. I know she's going through a lot too. All of us are. We all have friends and family missing or dead." said Peter.

He grinned as Tony offered to help him.

"Thanks. I want to tell her I do. But I want your support. It's going to be hard enough to say this with her trying to avoid me or trying to interrupt me no doubt. I don't want to blurt it out either but I might have to if she won't listen to me." said Peter.

He sighed. He paused as he groaned clutching his stomach as he stepped back from Tony.

"Something's wrong. I feel strange." said Peter.

He suddenly realized as black goop covered his body. He could feel to his shock his injuries healing up instantly as he stared in shock that he was now in a black version of his Spider-man suit. He blinked looking in awe.

"What happened to us?" asked Peter.

He paused realizing the creature had merged with him and he was now referring to them as separate entities. He gasped as he could feel the creature gave him access to his memories. This creature had saved him from Loki and was the reason he was still alive. He paused looking up at Tony as his face was peeled back as he stared in Tony in shock.

"Now I know I how survived Loki's attack. This creature merged with me to keep me alive and it helped me get to the base. Now it's taken me as its host. It sensed my pain. My loneliness. It saved me. It healed my injuries." said Peter.

He paused not sure if he wanted to be a host to some alien creature but he didn't think he had a choice. For all he knew trying to separate the creature could kill him. He looked at his new suit in amazement and slight fear before looking at Tony.

"I'm grateful it saved me. But what am I going to do? What if it tries to take over my body? What if I can't separate it from me without killing myself?" said Peter.

He was starting to panic a little wondering what was going to happen.

(OCC: LOL totally fine, it would make sense, which makes Tony responsible for finding out this thing and possibly getting rid of it or peter getting rid of it but with tony's assistance. Sorry for the quick watch plot-thing. I needed to use something so Tony could not just say how weird it is and actually sound helpful)

Tony smiled as Peter mentioned Aunt may would've liked him. Most people tend to He was tempted to joke but death was not really a laughing matter. Especially if it was someone you cared for. He didn't take kindly to personal deaths. Sure he didn't know May but Peter did, and he liked peter, therefore his pain was related to Tony's pain. "You're not alone peter. It's very hard to believe it right now but you're not alone. Everyone goes but new, caring and supportive people will show up and some people DO stay with you forever. Some of said people who stay die but they don't leave, they're in your memory. Now is it horrible to lose someone? Of course it is. I'm not saying don't grief, I'm saying don't give up. If not for yourself, than for Aunt may. She probably would want you to be happy" Tony replied, a concerned hand on his shoulder and brown eyes making firm contact with other, younger, brown eyes.

He heard Peter's small responses with a careful ear, glad when he was pleased and discontented when peter was displeased. But then Peter grabbed him in a huge hug at the idea of being a apprentice and Tony beamed, laughing slightly, glad to see Peter genuinely joyful. This gave him a chance to be rather light-hearted himself "Whoa now. Assistant's the big time, peter. Let's just do apprentice for now and when you're ready, I can promote you. Simple" He shrugged at that, patting the boy's back softly. Suddenly the boy winced and Tony backed away quickly, smiling still but it was more cautious for some reason "Yeah. You're pretty out of it. Take it easy like you said. By a few days we'll get you on track"

"She does deserve the right to know. If she has hope and nobody tells her for the sake of letting her be hopeful, that's much more sadistic" Tony agreed, a reserved tone and face shown to the younger man. He continued as Peter continued about Mary Jane and the concepts of how to handle the news "No worries. I'll monitor, keep the peace, the usual go-to for complex problems. She probably, since she's pissed still, will not really be in the mood to chit-chat so you might need to easily get to the point. But I'll manage it"

"Well that's good. Glad you're not the kid who wants babying. I can't do that shit honestly. I like kids but I can't be really, really easy with them. I'm too honest for my own good. Everybody is suffering one way or another. I'm glad you're aware of that. As much as I am at least" Tony replied with a smile to Peter, honestly glad his execution was well-attended to peter. Suddenly, without warning, Peter started to act funny and claimed he was feeling strange. Tony was about to check if he had a problem with his injuries but suddenly a black goop surrounded the young man. Immediately Tony panicked, never had he seen stuff like this so he thought peter was in serious danger "Parker!" He shouted "Parker!"

Suddenly a black suit of spider man was in front of him and Tony was right on his way to calling jarvis and try to save peter but Peter's words got him confused and concerned. "Us? What the hell do you mean 'Us'? US?! Parker! Are you ok?! Wait, why am I not..." Suddenly the suit peeled in a way that caused him to see Peter's face. Tony quickly walked up and observed the suit as Peter spoke "This thing is a living creature? So that explains how you got out of there in one piece. OK. Out of all the things I've seen, this really takes the cake. Jesus H. Christ" He rubbed his hair and turned to see Peter get nervous. With good reason. This creature took him as a host. Was that a good thing or bad thing? Tony and Peter had no idea. They had to look into this. They had to make sure nothing bad would happen.

"JARVIS?" Tony said on his private watch communicator which lead to anyone he wished, whether be his AI or Steve, he always made sure to bring this when out in case he was attacked and needed back-up or his suits. Sir? What is wrong? JARVIS asked. Tony quickly replied "We have a thing I'm gonna need you to take some tests on peter when we get back. There's some host thing that's got 'em and I want to know precisely what the living hell it is, why it exists and what it can do to peter. We need to make sure Peter doesn't stay a host or rather the creature is harmless"

Right away sir. Diagnostics and studying of the creature's origin will be made. As soon as peter comes over to the base, I will need him to physically be there so I can scan him and I may need a physical sample of the creature JARVIS responded

"Done, done and done. Thanks buddy" Tony said, turning off the watch and offering his hand to Peter "Come on parker. We're going to find out exactly what this thing has done to you and make sure you're safe for sure"

[Peter Parker/Spiderman]

Peter smiled grateful he had Tony.

"My whole world's falling apart and yet you're here keeping me sane. Keeping me happy. I don't know what I'd do without you Tony. Thank you." said Peter.

He paused looking at him with concern.

"I'm not sure if there's much govenrment left now but I would like you appointed as my guardian. That way people can't take me away. Not that I'd let them but still." said Peter.

He chuckled at Tony's words.

"Alright apprentice it is then." said Peter.

Peter nodded.

"I wish I could help more. But I guess going up against a god by myself was stupid. Brave but stupid." said Peter.

Peter nodded again.

"Well Mary Jane will find out. From you or from me. But you're right she will find out." said Peter.

Peter grinned at Tony's words.

"Well then good thing you have Pepper, JARVIS, and me to help you out and spoil any kids you have." said Peter.

Peter gasped as Tony seemed just as scared of the alien symbiote as hew as.

"I mean this creature and me. When it's in full control it feels like our minds are joined. But when it's peeled back I feel like I'm by myself. If that makes any sense." said Peter.

He listened as Tony and Jarvis talked about analyzing the creature. He began to panic as he felt the suit cover his head once more.

"You will not separate us. We are one. As it should be. We need each other. We were both so alone and now we don't have to be. We will help you win this war as well. Loki beat us and then hurt us by taking away Aunt May and our friends. But now we won't have to hurt anymore. We'll be the ones doing the hurting." said Peter.

And then just like that the suit vanished into Peter ready to be called on when needed as he was now back in his regular clothes again speechless.

"I guess testing will have to wait. Whatever this thing is it doesn't want to leave me. Maybe we could keep this quiet between us and JARVIS. Just until we know more. I don't want the others to lock me in a cell or something. This symbiote only seems to want to hurt Loki not any of us." said Peter.

[Tony Stark(Iron Man)]

"Don't thank me, parker. I'm just being a good friend is all. I know what it's like to lose people you care about" Tony replied, jawline tightening in a certain way that would be considered as bitter. He wasn't bitter against parker, more or less his own past. His father was not the person he considered to care for, more so his mother who was more attentive during his childhood. But that wasn't important. Parker was right now the most important thing.

"There might not be any government besides loki's people or whatnot but yeah, I'll try to find some place where I can make this whole arrangement official. But don't worry about it. That's my problem. You just let me handle it" Tony assured. He wasn't trying to sound like he was babying him but this was rather more adult than Peter was ready for. Tony knew that. The problem was he didn't want to off-put peter in a sense that made the teen suspect that tony was now babying him.

"Loki is not one to play fair. Going on him man-to-man isn't really a good idea. You're right, maybe you could do more if you didn't go by yourself but we can't change that now" Tony said observantly. He then nodded in agreement with Peter's response about Mary Jane "Or from both. Both seems much more likely" Tony mumbled but he was sure that Peter heard it anyway. He then chuckled and raised his hands, speaking in a teasing tone "I gotta find pepper first before we consider having any kiddies, parker. Don't get ahead of yourself"

He then observed the suit once more and saw peter explain that because their minds were joined, it was as if they were one when the suit was in control but when freed, peter in a sense was in charge "Oh good god. It does make sense but it doesn't sound so good. I mean, we don't entirely know what this thing is and...." However he was interrupted by the suit covering parker and a shocked/frightened expression was on tony's face. He wasn't scared of the creature, he was scared only for peter's life, the suit COULD hurt him if it wanted to. Yet the suit in both parker's voice and a unknown entity spoke to him, saying that it did not want separation, that parker and the suit needed to be together for company, that it wanted to be with parker and take revenge against loki for what he had done to aunt may and others. Tony calmly responded, unsure how to approach the new creature "I'm not trying to get rid of you yet. I'm trying to know what the hell you are in retrospective. I know you're a creature that's within parker that's for sure. Fine I won't seperate you but you better not get any funny ideas with parker" His tone was observant, calm maybe even icy. Tony was unsure what this thing was but for now it didn't seem to be a huge threat.

When parker returned, Tony quickly went over and checked his body to make sure everything was working right, and it was. The creature proved that parker would not be harmed so long as the creature was with him. And peter seemed to be nervous, asking tony to keep this between them and JARVIS. Not wanting to be imprisoned. Due to all the chaos, Tony understood the reasoning to why peter wanted this to be a secret. He breathed as he considered the options. Keeping secrets was easy but Tony wasn't sure if keeping this a secret was such a good idea. But this was a request from peter and it seemed from some proof that the creature wanted only to get revenge, not harm anyone in particular. So with a firm look, tony responded "Fine. We won't do anything yet. This is for you and me and jarvis to know. But I'm telling you right now peter, I don't trust that... thing. I'm not done with it, I'm gonna discover what it is one way or another eventually"

[Peter Parker/Spiderman]

Peter grinned at him.

"Of course I'll thank you. You're doing me a big favor. Being my friend. Taking me in. You didn't have to but you are. I have no one if it wasn't for you and MJ. I hope I can win her back. Even if it's just friendship. I hate having her mad at me." said Peter.

Peter nodded when he spoke about making it official.

"Thank you. Just please do it quickly. If there is some kind of government they might try to take me away. Maybe force me to work at Loki's palace or something." said Peter.

Peter nodded still feeling a bit stupid about that.

"I know. I guess I wasn't really thinking. He attacked my city. My friends, my family were all missing or dead. The people I was supposed to protect so many of them are now hurt or dead. Some super hero I've turned out to be." said Peter.

He looked down at the ground now. He felt like a failure. He was supposed to protect New York and he couldn't. And now New York and the rest of the world was suffering. The fact that other heroes like the Avengers and Fantastic Four hadn't managed to save the world either hadn't eased his feelings of guilty very much.

"I hope we can convince Mary Jane to hear me out. Even for a moment. She deserves to know about Aunt May. Any news on any of Mary Jane's family? Her father was a jerk but I know she loved her mother. Could you find out if they're ok? They were our next door neighbors so I don't think they'd leave without my aunt. But maybe they weren't in the neighborhood at the time. Maybe it's a long shot but you could at least try to look into it." said Peter.

Peter chuckled.

"But once you do I'm sure you two will be very cute together. They'll be young starks running around in no time." said Peter.

Peter was still panicking about the suit.

"I guess it does make sense. But now I've got a living thing inside me. And it's a lot easier to get rid of than a tapeworm. What if I'm stuck with it? What if it decides to take over? I could be a prisoner in my own body forced to do whatever it wanted?" said Peter.

He was slightly relieved as the suit had vanished leaving just the two of them alone talking. At least for now.

"Well it's certainly very protective of itself. Guess studying this creature won't be as easy as we thought." said Peter Pan.

He paused asr Tony went over to examine him and then Tony began to panic more stepping back nervously feeling more like a science experiment.

"I'm fine Tony. If it wanted to hurt me it wouldn't have healed my injuries now would it?" said Peter.

He sighed in relief as Tony said he wouldn't say anything for now.

"Thank you. I just don't want to be locked in a cage. Treated like a freak. Like a science experiment or a secret weapon. I'd rather die than be treated like that. I know you wouldn't treat me like that but some of the others might." said Peter.

[Tony Stark(Iron Man)]

"Well I'm glad you are grateful but I didn't do it for you to thank me. I'm just doing what I can for you, not me" Tony said with a soft smile. He was rather impressed with how humble this boy was, but after all the kid went through, he wasn't entirely surprised. He then nodded as Peter hoped that MJ would accept him once more, maybe only for a friend even. He then listened as Peter begged for him to hurry up the process of appointing himself as peter's guardian "No worries parker. I know we need to be quick. I have it handled" He then listened to peter's words about mary jane "Yeah I'll put MJ's mom on the watch-list. She probably might be still out there. Hopefully. For Mary Jane's sake" He sighed, rubbing his face. This was all so morbid and complicated. Most war-related things were.

"Hey we're not going to feel sorry for ourselves because we lost the first round, parker. We may have lost the battle but the war's not over. Not if I have anything to say about it" Tony said, determination in his eyes. Although he felt bad for parker, this was not what peter needed to do. He needed to have faith. Hell, they all needed to. Tony then laughed a bit as peter mentioned "little starks" and he couldn't help but nod "As long as pepper's willing, I'm perfectly fine. It might take a while, you know, with finding her and finishing the war and all" He laughed a little more again, finding himself surprisingly more amused.

"That's why I'm going to research this thing. Not hurt it or anything" He said, as if speaking in public to make sure the creature was aware tony came in peace "So we can answer all those really good questions. I'm not gonna let that thing hurt you. As inside of a job it might be, I'm keeping an eye on this" He then sighed as Peter got nervous with him trying to observe him "Sorry kid, just making sure your body is ok. I don't want you to have body problems is all" He then nodded as peter said he didn't want to be a science experiment or treated like a freak "I gotcha parker. I won't let you be put in a cage. Knowing coulson or romanoff they'll be all over this like white on rice, it's a good thing we're not telling them, they're a bunch of paranoid twits. For the most part though, they're very capable but we won't tell anyone. You're ok parker"

[Peter Parker/Spiderman]

Peter smiled.

"I know. But I'm still grateful." said Peter.

He smiled at him as Tony said he got it handled.

"If I have to change my name I will. It'd be an honor to have your name if it came to that. I'd rather stay with you then be forced to live with strangers or in some orphanage anyway."said Peter.

He'd consider himself a Parker no matter what. But Peter Stark had a nice ring to it. He smiled as Tony said he'd look out for her mom.

"Thanks. It may be a long shot. If my Aunt may's gone her mom might be as well. We were next door neighbors. For Mary Jane's sake I hope her mom's still out there." said Peter.

Peter nodded.

"You're right. We're fighting back but it may take and a lot more help for us to win." said Peter.

Peter grinned at Tony's words.

"Well you don't have to rush off and have kids right away. But if it doesn't look like this war is going to end soon you and Pepper shouldn't put your lives on hold. None of us should." said Peter.

Peter sighed glancing back at the suit.

"I may be wrong but I think it's some kind of alien parasite. Perhaps it needs a host to live and it chose me. You know I am scared but at the same time I don't know if I seperate it from me and condemn it to die. It saved my life and it's healing my injuries. It deserves the right to live. I just hope it doesn't change me somehow. Or take over." said Peter.

Peter nodded.

"But it doesn't want to be researched. Which means you're not likely to get any samples. And if this is a parasite separating it from me could kill it. There's nothing evil so far about this thing. So maybe we should treat it as an ally until we're proven otherwise." said Peter.

Peter sighed again.

"I don't want that either. But I'd rather share my body than condemn it to death like I said. There's been enough death and pain in this war." said Peter.

Peter smiled glad Tony was working with him.

"If it becomes a threat or someone else finds out then I'll probably leave. I don't think it'd let me die. For all I know separating it from me could kill us both or at least me. Perhaps you could ask Queen Frigga or one of the others about parasites or alien goo. Or whatever this is. They might know something about this. Just don't go into anything specific." said Peter.

[Tony Stark(Iron Man)]

Tony only smiled as Peter said he was still grateful. He then nodded as Peter mentioned possibly having Tony's last name "Knowing the legal system you may have to change your last name. So probably. Glad you are willing to though, I wouldn't want to be put in a stranger's home either if I was your age" He knew Obediah, that was the worst part about it. He KNEW him and obediah was still a traitor.

"There's been no sign of Mary jane's mom being dead quite yet. When we searched for may we saw evidence of her death but not MJ's mom's. We'll find her, I'll find her" Tony assured as Peter once more brought up MJ's mother. He nodded about needing more help "Now that's something I'm 100% sure about. We definitely need more enforcements but most people are scared, hiding or dead. We need to still have some amount of patience. We're searching options, parker. We can't just go running about holding posters saying revolution on them"

He laughed as Peter said he didn't need to do it now, just sometime in order to make his life a life. "Parker. I'm not old just yet. I still have plenty of years in me. Me and pepper will make that decision. We won't let a war ruin us, pepper may be more stressed and I may be more busy but we already had talks about the future even before the war. We did..." He smiled sadly, missing pepper more and more as they talked about her "We did say we wanted to get married. Well, I did anyway"

"Alien parasite? Parasite in the name doesn't sound comforting, parker. Evil or not, parasites are parasites" Tony said calmly. He then listened as Peter wished to let it live simply because it helped peter. That was understandable that Peter wanted to spare the creature that helped him. After all, one didn't bite the hand that feeds them. He then sighed "But how are we supposed to know anything or check on your health if this... thing... won't let me? That's just as unfair as slaughtering the damned thing" Tony then listened to him suggest that they should treat it as a ally and just let it go. That condemning it to death was something peter didn't want to do. That he was fine sharing his body "You're way too nice for your own good sometimes parker. But fine. We'll keep the thing"

"Oh no you won't" Tony objected offendedly "Whether they find out or not, you're still my responsibility now. You're staying right here" Tony objected. He then continued "I'm not saying a word but you better not run away when things get to risky. You let me know and we'll work on this together. Don't be a coward or so selfless as to kill yourself, you hear me?" He then listened to Peter suggest queen frigga "She may... We'll see. We'll ask Frigga.... Behind locked doors so no-one else will know"
