You Want Me? (Loki)

[John Allerdyce/Pyro]

(ooc: January 3rd. Afternoon. Figured we could have a John and Loki thread where Loki appoints John as his heir. Cause I realized we sorta forgot to do that. xd)

John was furious. That Victor guy had tried to kill Johnny earlier today. The guards had told him and he was nervous. Johnny was the only reason he wasn't still a slave. If something happened to him he guessed he would just go back to being slaves with the others. While Renee and the others were great he'd connected with Johnny. He didn't want him to go. He paused as the doors opened as three guards walked in to his room.

"We're here to escort you to the throne room. King Loki wishes to speak with you." said the first guard.

John gulped nervously and nodded. He followed them out as they lead him to the throne room. They opened the door as he could spot Loki sitting on his throne.

"Your majesty John Allerydyce is here to see you as requested." said the first guard.

The three guards then left closing the door leaving John alone with him. He walked nervously up to Loki.

"You summoned me sir? asked John, nervously.

[Loki]

Loki didn't hate john. No. Far from it. But he wasn't as close to john as johnny was. The king didn't know exactly how to approach the boy sometimes so it seemed like he didn't like him but loki did. He was planning to prove it now since johnny was clearly close with him and loki wanted to make john like him too. Maybe loki would be able to reach to john like johnny did. Or maybe loki would understand completely how to befriend the boy properly. Because of what victor did, he had a feeling john would be upset and wanted the guards to let him know what happened and that johnny would be fine. But the king understood, if johnny was killed loki would've been very upset. He knew the both of them had their concern over johnny common and decided to bond with that and let everything settle in. The reason he was doing all of this was because he needed a future heir and john was the perfect chance. Yes loki wanted to have more than just one child, that always was a fact, but right now john was a perfect future heir and the boy was someone loki wanted to care for and love. For johnny's sake yes but for his own too, he felt sorry for the young man. Who suffered cruelty much more than loki personally liked. Adoption was complicated to loki but if it would make john safe, loved and well-assured, loki would be fine to do it. As he pondered on his throne, he heard one of the guards voices speak.

Your majesty John Allerydyce is here to see you as requested

"Good. Leave us" Loki said patiently as the guards obeyed and left. Loki turned to see the boy nervously step forward, and Loki grabbed his staff and walked lower to john's direction. "Indeed I did, young man" He replied, his voice not confrontational and actually quite gentle. He knew the boy was scared of him and tried his best to not look intimidating. "I know you are aware of victor's attack of Johnny storm. I have come to talk to you about that" He walked over to the boy "You are very close to Johnny, this I know. I feel that if anything were to happen to him, this would lead you to the same position you were before but I do not want that to happen. I would never allow Johnny to perish from any danger, you must know this"

He looked down before looking at the boy again "Johnny means a lot to me too. You are so far the only one to know this, for now I expect you to keep this between us for the time being but I care about him too. I would never forgive myself if anything were to happen to him" He sighed "We have that in common. You see john, I do not want you to be intimidated of me, I want you to trust me. I know I have done things that lead to lives being taken but rest assured, I do not intend to be your enemy because not only does johnny care about you, I wish to care for you. That is why I wished to let you know I would always be there for johnny" He rubbed his neck. He wasn't sure if john was going to be comfortable with this or comfortable with the fact the king was talking about all this stuff. But he was trying. He hoped john wasn't too annoyed or nervous of him. "I suppose these are the reasons why you are here"

John gulped nervously as Loki spoke. He nodded.

"Yes. He's ok right? If that metal freak hurt him and thought he could get away with it he's wrong. He's going to get burned." said John.

He pulled out a lighter from his pocket flicking it open and closed out of habit. He heard Loki and nodded.

"You're right. He's the closest thing to family I have now. My father drunk and he was abusive. I loved my mom but she let him get away with it. Until one night he went too far. He found out I was a mutant. He was going to kill me. And my mother finally stood up for me and died protecting me. If it wasn't for Xavier's school I'd have been put into foster care. And now the only friends I ever had are probably dead now." said John.

He smiled at Loki's words.

"I'm glad to hear that. I thought you just wanted him for his body. But I guess I was wrong." said Johhn.

He nodded.

"My lips are sealed." said John.

John smiled at him.

"I want to not be afraid of you. It's just you've kind of scary and intimidating. Even when you're not trying to be." said John.

He sighed looking at him.

"I want to try. If Johnny likes you then you can't be all bad. Maybe I could spend some time with you today and get to know you a little better. If that's ok." said John.

He paused as Loki said there were reasons he was here.

"Other reasons? What are they?" asked John.

[Loki]

"Johnny is alright, I assure you. Do not worry, Victor will not get away with this, he is imprisoned and sentenced to slavery. And if he should try to escape to his country, it belongs to me now so no-one will allow him refuge" Loki responded assuringly, seeing evidence that John was extremely protective of Johnny, which caused the king's expression to soften. He understood how the boy felt. He understood what the boy was going through. Worrying over someone close was something painful. He then widened his eyes as John explained why he cared about johnny so much, he was the only person to genuinely care for him, since his father was a drunk abuser and his mother was dead trying to protect him from said father. Then he told him that Xavier's school was the only place he had friends, but now they were most likely dead. Loki now felt guilt for what he had done. He didn't put to consideration or care that people would've died for this cause. He knew that Johnny's family was alive but John's friends were scattered and that was a different story.

"I am sorry about your past and I am sorry for your friends. I know this is a event that occured when I took control of many real, but if you wished me too, I could use my magic to possibly see if any of your friends still live and find them" He sighed, still feeling a weight on him "I cannot promise success but it would be better to try for your sake than not at all. I may be in control but I've learned through this that you and many people had families and friends, and perhaps I can gain your trust easier if I try to be more kind instead of demanding"

"You were not foolish to think so. I too thought it was only for my physical needs, but as I spent more time with Johnny, he showed me kindness and intelligence and humor. So I guess I was wrong myself" This caused Loki to actually smile, not a intimidating smile but a happy, actual genuine smile. He looked to the boy and nodded as he said he would keep this to himself "I thank you. Soon I will confess it but right now we are in the beginnings of my reign and I unfortunately cannot appear so intimate quite yet. I appreciate this"

Loki chuckled as John said that despite not wanting to be afraid of him, it was hard since Loki gave off that intimidating air. "I suppose being king makes me this way. Or the fact that for many years, people tended to be on my bad side. I had to appear intimidating to them to leave me be" He shrugged as a response to what he said, unsure of how to explain exactly why he tried to be so intimidating all the time. "Absolutely. The more we get to know each other, the better we can get along. I am free for some time, we can use this to spend time together" He said, rather generously and cheerfully.

Loki then heard John ask about what were the other reasons. Loki sighed "You do not have to accept this now. But I was thinking, to protect you, that should I pass or Johnny pass, you would be next in line for the throne" He walked closer to john and looked reassuringly to him "If you do not accept this invitation nothing will happen, you will still be within johnny's protection and my brother evan can take your stead, but this will give you high assurance that you will not return to slavery even as I am dead. I may be immortal but I have made many enemies during my crusade who will do anything for my head. If you step in line, the kingdom will remain and people only want me, not you, so assassins will not try to harm you" He stepped back and responded softly "Do not feel you are being forced. This offer is just that, an offer. Rejection of the offer is entirely fine"

[John Allerdyce/Pyro]

John relaxed a little hearing Johnny was ok.

"Thank goodness. He's all I have left now. If that bastard had killed him then I'd have done the same. I wouldn't care if I was thrown in jail or killed as long as I made that bastard pay" said John

He smiled glad Loki had punished Doom and his country and power were taken from him.

"I'm glad he's not getting away with it." said John.

John nodded.

"I hate you for doing that. For causing this pain. But you're with Johnny know. He likes you so you can't be all bad. I want to give you a chance for his sake. But I know a way you could make it up to me. Please find out if anyone from my old school is still alive. The students. The teachers. I know it won't be easy and I may never know for sure. But if even one of them is alive out there I want to find them. If that's not too much trouble." said John.

He paused as Loki said he's started to care for Johnny more than just lust like it had started out.

"He doesn't show it but I can tell he's not as happy as he looks. I've put on that face so many times myself. Something bad happened to him in his past. So you better treat him right. You break his heart and I swear I'll make you pay. Even if I have to take you out with me." said John.

It wasn't an empty threat. No one hurt his family and got away with it and Johnny was basiclly family to him now. He nodded as Loki was grateful he would keep this quiet for now. Seeing Loki smile and laugh started to cut away some of the tension. He was starting to wonder if this was the side of Loki that Johnny saw. That Loki's family had seen. After all Loki had grown up with them for years before he'd started his takeover attempts. The first two had failed but the third time had made him king. He grinned as Loki agreed they should get to know each other some more.

"Great. I just don't know what we could do. I mean anything I like to do for fun is back on Earth and probably destroyed or stolen by thieves. Or crowded as a shelter or something." said John.

He paused as Loki gave him an offer. To make him Johnny and Loki's heir.

"Wait are you saying you and Johnny want to adopt me as your son and your heir?" asked John.

He paused as Loki said if he refused he'd still be in their protection and Evan would take over if something happened to him and Johnny. He would not return to slavery even with his death. No one would try to hurt him as assassins wanted loki dead not him.

"I always wanted a family. A real family. I loved my mom but she let my father beat me so many times. I eventually learned he stopped beating her when he beat me. So I let him beat me as it saved my mom. But it didn't save her in the end. She's gone. I'm tired of trying to protect others. It would be nice to be loved and taken care of for a change. So I accept." said John.

John grinned wondering what would happen next.

(ooc: figure this is when loki removes the collar. also was wondering if he finds a way at some point to help john with his ability. since john can only manipulate fire. not create it. so without fire around he has no way of protecting himself. so maybe loki could eventually upgrade his power somehow so john can summon fire. i mean he has the lighter with him but it would be so easy to have that stolen or left behind. xd)

(OCC: Sure sounds fine. Maybe Loki can figure it out here and realize John needs more power and so gives him a spell that gives him more ability with fire, like creating it)

"I understand exactly how you feel John. Trust me. He would never leave this place alive with what he did. He is indeed not getting away with it. I promise you. He will regret his actions" Loki responded, a firm tone to his voice but it wasn't angry, it was rather persistent. Like a teacher. John was obviously very concerned with how johnny was and how he was treated. Loki made a good note to make sure not to mess with john's care for johnny.

"And you have every entitlement to hate me. I somewhat hate myself now that I am aware of what I did. I was foolish and ambitious" Loki responded, guilt evident in his voice. And his guilt did stay for a few moments as John spoke. He did feel bad. Mostly because John was someone that johnny cared for and anyone who was cared for by johnny, was cared for by him. "I thank you for giving me a chance, I know it is not for me, but your kindness will be repaid. As for your friends and people at the school, it is no trouble at all, I will make a search for any single one of your close friends. Should they be alive, I will personally see to it that they are brought here to you safely and willingly" Loki said, tone much more pleasant and a lot less guilty, more cheerful.

"Your concern and care is something I truly respect and admire. Rest assured, Johnny will be well-cared for, respected and treated as a equal. I do not know everything about johnny yet and he does not have to tell me and neither do you, but I will do everything in my power to prove to both you and him that I care about him more than just lust" Loki swore, taking John's threat very seriously. Sure he was a kid and sure he was most likely weaker than him but Loki was no stranger to "protecting the family". He too, at john's age, took family to that degree. Anybody who dared to mock thor or threaten his mother would suffer the rage of the trickster. So he knew the boy's place and would appreciate it.

"We could do fun things here at the palace. Or perhaps I can make a illusion of your favorite place. We can talk about it whenever you wish" Loki softly offered, a kind smile in his face. He then nodded as John asked about being heir of the kingdom "Yes I am" He then listened as John excitedly accepted. Saying he never really had a real family and that he was tired of being the protector and wanted to be the protected. "Very well. For accepting my offer, I thank you. And no prince should wear such a collar. Here" He snapped his fingers and instantly John was freed and the collar went down with a echoing clang. Loki smiled and responded with a proud tone "You are now the heir to the throne, young man. Be proud of this"

(ooc: sounds good. the irony of a frost giant giving someone fire powers is amusing though. xD)

John paused listening to him and nodded.

"Thank you. That bastard should have been no where near Johnny. We may not be related by blood but Johnny's the closest thing to family I have left. I don't want to lose him too." said John.

John looked in surprise as Loki spoke apologizing and was even surprised that John was giving him a chance. He looked in shock as he offered to search for his friends.

"You'd do that for me? Thank you. My best friend is Bobby Drake and his best friend Rogue. He's an ice mutant. I wasn't as close with the others at the school but if any of them are alive I'd appreciate it if you found them and brought them here." said John.

He smiled as Loki said Johnny was being well cared for. He said he would prove it to him and Johnny that he did care about him. It wasn't just lust.

"I believe you. Just be clear on one thing. You hurt Johnny and I'll make you regret it. Even if it takes the rest of my life to do it. Or die trying." said John.

He spoke with such fierce determination and it showed on his face. He would not let anyone hurt Johnny physically or emotionally. Not while he was around. John relaxed a little as the topic shifted to having fun.

"What is there to do for fun around here?" asked Loki.

He looked in surprise as Loki said he was serious about him being his heir. He gasped as the collar broke off and landed on the floor. He paused at his words. He grinned before leaping forward and hugging him.

"Thank you. When my mom died I thought I'd never have a family again. Now I have Johnny. And you." said John.

He paused pulling back blushing.

"Sorry. I guess I got carried away. So do I call you both dad? Or your majesty?" asked John.

[Loki]

(OCC: It IS odd. But Loki's a powerful sorcerer, I think he can teach magic lol)

"And you will not lose him. Doom will pay for his crimes. You are right in the fact he should have never been near Johnny. That is a mistake I will not let happen again" Loki assured, seeing John calmer but he knew the boy cared for the other man, and Loki was not one to take close bonds lightly. Well for the most part.

"I will indeed do it for you. You deserve some closure. And yes, if anyone from the mutant school you went to, particularly your friends rogue and bobby drake are alive, they will be personally brought to you. A search will be made for them as soon as possible" Loki said, seeing the boy shocked that the king was showing him such respect and kindness. The young boy deserve that at least, not only because he was johnny's friend but because loki, in a sense, saw good in john and he felt the need to help this young man.

"I am glad you believe me, but I will continue to prove it to you and johnny nonetheless" Loki then listened as he was once again threatened. Normally Loki would stop it here but in order to get john to trust him, he had to let some things go. Threats though were rare to give to the king but john was different. He was just trying to make loki sure that nobody would harm johnny while he was around. "I understand perfectly. Rest assured, Johnny will be treated equally and with respect. Your concern for johnny is most appreciated"

"Well there is the gardens, where you can ride on horses if that is your interest. Or the library, I tended to enjoy that. However if you do not like those things, I can find something else in your interest" Loki suggested, calmly smiling as he saw John begin to bond with him. He then chuckled as the young man ran and hugged him, although he was surprised, he was also enjoying the fact john was so grateful. Loki smiled as John thanked him and said that he once again had a family, of johnny and loki himself. When pulled back, John asked what to call him and Loki responded softly "Whatever you wish, john. If you are not prepared to consider me your father, you may call me Loki or your majesty or whatever makes you most comfortable"

John nodded.

"Thank you. I'm glad he has you. My mother's dead. My friends could be dead. Johnny's all I have. I can't lose him too." said John.

He smiled as Loki said he'd look for the other mutants.

"Thank you. I know it's a long shot but even one of them survived I want to know. Even if you have to capture them. If you have to make them slaves then could you at least make them my slaves. I'd rather have them here where I know they're safe even if they hate me at first." said John.

John smiled at him.

"I hope you will. I meant what I said though. If you hurt Johnny. If you make him cry I'll make you pay. Even if it takes me the rest of my life to do it." said John.

He paused as the topic shifted to what to do for fun.

"I've never riden a horse before. Maybe you could teach me sometime." said John.

He heard of the library and shrugged. He wasn't much for researching. He tended to goof off in class.

"Do you have any stories or legends there? I got bored easily when trying to study but I would love to read some stories. Maybe even some legends of Asgard." said John.

He smiled as Loki hugged him back and he was so grateful. He paused looking at him.

"I never really had a father before. My father treated me so horribly and now I have two. Johnny's my dad. But could I call you papa?" said John.

He knew this was new to both of them. He still had his doubts Loki wasn't just doing this for Johnny. Surely Loki didn't want anything to do with him. His own father had abused him and his mother had let him happen before she had gotten herself killed. The only people who'd really been kind to him before Johnny were the X-men and now they could all be dead.

[Loki]

"I understand, john. Your concern for johnny is similar to my own" Loki assured, trying to make john believe johnny was ok. But it was hard, especially for a young, abused boy such as john. Loki did understand and made sure to be as patient as possible. He then listened as john asked to find them and possibly capture them and make them john's slaves for safety "Yes. If we find your friends, we will bring them to you. I need to bring them as slaves or workers but they can be completely in your custody since you are part of the royal family now"

"Your words are taken into account, john. Rest assured, johnny will be completely treated as a equal. I may make mistakes but I will make sure none of them are severe enough to entirely harm johnny storm. You have my word" Loki said, a bow to make sure john knew he was serious. He knew the boy meant business and loki made sure that john too knew that loki was just as serious as he was.

"Of course. Wheneever is best for you to learn we can. And we do indeed have stories and legends. They may interest you if you observed the library. It wouldn't be studying, it would be more of just simple reading" Loki responded softly, smiling, glad that he and john were successfully bonding already. Not completely but they were speaking friendly towards one another. He then smiled as John asked to call him papa, knowing that the boy was still unsure and that this was all new to him. It was to loki also but he was glad john was willing to try "Whatever makes you comfortable, john. You can call me whatever you wish. Papa, loki, whatever deems worthy for you"

John smiled at him.

"Good. I probably would sound crazy to anyone else threatening not just the king but a god. But Johnny's the only real family I have. And he's not even my family." said John.

He grinned as Loki said he would bring his friends here if they found him and put into his custody.

"Thank you. I know you don't have to do any of this. But you're doing it anyway. And I appreciate that." said John.

He smiled as Loki said he would treat Johnny as an equal.

"Well if you two ever get married might want to call him King or Lord or something. I don't think he'd want to be called Queen Johnny." said John.

He smirked just picturing the look on Johnny's face if someone had called him that. He grinned as Loki said there were stories and legends.

"You'll have to show me the library sometime. I haven't really gone exploring much. I wasn't sure if I was allowed to." said John.

He had only recently been removed from being a slave and now he was Loki's heir.

"Ok papa." said John.

He paused tears coming to his eyes as he realized he had a real family. And two fathers. He'd always love his mother even if she hadn't always been there for him or protected him like she should. But his father had been an abusive drunk that John was glad that he was behind bars. He wiped the tears from his face and smiled.

"I never thought I'd have a real family. Now I have you and Johnny. It still seems too good to be true." said John.

[Loki]

"Normally I would be rather annoyed, but you have good intentions and have been reasonable thus far" Loki responded with a calm tone. He didn't seem too offended and he wasn't, but normally he wouldn't take crap like this. Especially from some kid. But this wasn't just "some kid" this was his consort's friend. What else could the boy do other than do a drastic action? Threatening the king was far better than actually doing a violent action.

"It is no trouble. It is the least I can do to repay for my rash actions. Your friends will be in full care by you. No one shall harm them or keep them as their own" Loki promised when it came to John's friends.

Loki couldn't help but laugh as John referenced calling Johnny a queen. Eventually he stopped laughing and responded "Oh good norns, no. He will be called a king also. We on asgard tend to be very precise and to the point with titles. Although that is rather amusing" He laughed a little more. The imagined look on Johnny's face just made it all the more funny

"Well if you weren't before, you are now. I am more than happy to take you today to the library if you so choose to" Loki offered kindly. He then was shocked but pleased as the teen called him papa. As touching as this was, it was also a bit heartbreaking. All the boy wanted was family. That was it. Well, loki thought, the boy would have a family and a good one also.

"Perhaps it seems this way but you deserve happiness, John. If there is one thing I am fully confident about, is that children deserve someone who cares for them. You are no exception. You may be older than a child, but you still deserve love" Loki sincerely responded. He then frowned, seeing the boy crying. It was from overwhelmed happiness but Loki didn't really like seeing the poor boy cry. He came closer to the young man, embraced him gently, and used his hand to help wipe away the tears "Now, now. This is no time for crying. This is a pleasant time" He smiled to indicate he was being sarcastic and trying to cheer the child up. "I am very glad to have you as a son"

[John Allerdyce/Pyro]

John relaxed. He was grateful he hadn't angered the king.

"Thank you for that. He's all I had aside from my friends on the X-men. I went from losing my family, to losing my friends to having a new family. I know I'll screw up and there will be fights. But don't abandon me ok? I've already gotten to close to Johnny. I can't-do that with you and lose one or both of you. I can't deal with losing another family. I don't want to lose my dads." said John.

He grinned as Loki said it was no trouble to find his missing teammates.

"Thank you. Find them as fast as you can and I'll keep them safe and out of your hair." said John.

John grinned again as Loki laughed saying Johnny would be called a king but he found John's suggestion amusing.

"That's good. I don't know if he'd like being called queen but you make him happy. You could call him anything and he'd be content as long as he had you." said John.

John grinned.

"I'd love to go see the library." said John.

John was shocked as Loki said he deserved happiness. For so long he didn't believe that. Even staying at the school he'd felt out of place but now he felt like he had a place he belonged.

"Thank you papa." said John.

When Loki hugging him John hugged back in return perhaps a bit too tightly. John wiped away the tears and let go reluctantly.

"I'm glad to have you and Johnny as my fathers. I'm the luckiest kid in the world." said John.

Loki's gaze was much softer as John begged for him not to abandon him. Or that he lost families before and he didn't want to lose either Johnny or Loki himself. The king came closer and replied "That will never happen. I will not be so cruel as to abandon you. You're a child, children are allowed to make mistakes. It's time you actually have people to take care of you and not the other way around"

"I'm sure you will, I will make a search for them quickly" Despite Loki's confusion with John's expression of getting his friends out of his hair, Loki had a good idea of what he meant. He knew John wanted his friends safe. Of course he did, John cared for them.

"It would be amusing to see Johnny react to being called a queen, yet he will be called king as well" Loki replied, a smile still on his face. He really did like this kid. No wonder Johnny wanted him to be spared. He then nodded as John said he would be glad to see the library. He then held onto John as the two hugged, despite John being a little too tight Loki said absolutely nothing. He was glad to have made the child happy. "Not only do you have us, you have a whole kingdom that cares for you now. Asgard loves you just as much as Johnny and I do"

[John Allerdyce/Pyro]

John smiled at him.

"Thank you. And I believe you. Johnny believes you, loves you and trusts you. And I have to do the same. I can't close off my heart to happiness. You just promise me you keep him safe and loved. I've been unloved before. I can go back to it again if I have to. But he's always been loved by his family and then his fans. He needs you maybe as much as you need him." said John.

John grinned as Loki said he would search for them all.

"Thank you. I know it's a long shot if any of them are still alive. Do you have word of any rebellion against you? I'm sure some of them might have joined one if there is one." said John.

John chuckled.

"He probably wouldn't like it at first. But I think he really does love you. If you told him everyone had to address him as Queen Johnny I think he'd have let them. For you. Although he'd probably be relieved he can be called king." said John.

John smiled at him.

"Thank you Papa. But perhaps we can walk around the palace together. I can read the legends and books from the library any time. I would like to spend time with you. I guess I never really had a father growing up. And now I have two." said John.

He smiled and leaned forward hugging Loki again.

"It just seems too good to be true. Part of me's afraid to wake up back in the dungeon or trapped in my abusive home with my father hurting me again. I still have nightmares when I was living at the mansion that he escaped prison and kidnapped me. Said he wanted to finish the job." said John.

He hadn't realized his hands were starting to shake as he held Loki tightly.

"Thank you for taking me into your family. I'll try to be the best son I can be." said John.

(ooc: up to you where they should go. maybe drop by the library or Loki whips up some ice cream or something for him. xd)

Loki listened to John's request to promise to keep Johnny loved and safe. He felt a pang of sadness when John said he could handle not being loved but didn't want the same pain to go onto Johnny. Loki responded kindly "I promise John to always protect and love Johnny with all of my heart. But this promise reaches out to you. As I love johnny as my consort, I will love you as my son" He then listened as John asked if any were alive, that they could be part of a rebellion if there was one "Yes. There has been word of a rebellion group. And I know that at least some of the previous enemies I had run it. They can be there and if they are, I will make specific exceptions to them not being harmed and brought back alive"

"No, even I would not be so unfair as to demand him to be queen. He is a king just like I am. Though it may be challenging for some of the members of my kingdom here to not say 'queen' I must admit" Loki's smile was amused and sincere. He then nodded as John suggested spending time with him "Of course, my son. I can definitely show you the whole palace if you so choose" He then sighed as John's hands shook a bit as he was hugged tightly. His expressions about the nightmares he had about his birth father or returning to a dungeon made Loki's heart freeze. Loki held him close and responded "Neither of those things will happen. Not if I have anything to say about it"

"Now come. Let us leave. You must be hungry, yes?" Loki took the boy with him and went to the dining area. He then insisted to a servant to make some ice cream sundaes for John and himself. He wanted to spoil the boy.

John genuinely smiled as Loki made a promise to not only love Johnny but to love him calling him his son.

"You really mean that?" asked John, hesitant.

He was afraid of getting hurt again. He shook his head sadly.

"No. You both are too busy. You have royal duties and each other. I'll just be forgotten. That's all everyone does. Hurt me or abandon me. Why would you two be any different?" said John, thinking out loud.

He paused hearing of the rebellion.

"That means there's hope some of my friends are still alive. They had to join a rebellion. At least some of them." said John.

John chuckled as Loki said he will be called king.

"So are you guys getting married soon then? And the adoption? How would that even work? I mean it's a lot of paperwork on Earth." said John.

He paused as Loki hugged him and he wanted to believe this was true as he hugged him back.

"I hope so. I want to trust you. I want to have a family. A real family. But I don't want to get hurt again and lose it all." said John.

At the mention of food John's stomach grumbled loudly as he blushed.

"Yes I am." said John.

He followed Loki to the dining area hearing the mention of ice cream sundaes John perked up.

"I haven't had ice cream in such a long time." said John.

He grinned already feeling better as servants returned with ice cream sundaes. John was shocked at how big it was. The bowl was huge and there was so many different flavors. He scooped it and tried it and moaned in delight.

"These are delicious. Thank you." said John.

He paused looking at his new father and grinned.

"Thank you papa." said John.

He decided he had to try to trust him. Even if he got burned later. He wanted to at least try to be happy for once. He felt he deserved it. He went back to eating his sundae.

"A king does not go back on his word. Especially to those he holds dear. I do mean every word, even if my reputation is one of lies" Loki assured. He then sighed, seeing the young boy still cynical, mostly out of guilt from being hurt in the past. Loki held the boy's shoulders and encouraged the boy "Look at me" When John did look at him, Loki said calmly and slowly "You are my son. And as my son, it is my duty to protect you from ever being harmed by anyone, including myself. The moment I step out of line, you must remember that you always have a say. I wish to never go back on my word and any mistake I make can be held accountable. So if you feel betrayed, you have a right to tell me. Even if it means skipping a meeting or two"

"There is hope to any situation, John. Like there is loss there is also gain" Loki nodded, glad to see the boy become hopeful again. The king then held a hand up with a grin "That's for me to figure out. The adoption process can be challenging but never impossible" He then nodded in understanding as John said he DID want to trust him but was afraid of losing family. Loki patted the boy's shoulder comfortingly "If anything should happen to me or johnny, my brother evan shall look after you. If not him, then this castle shall have plenty of people in waiting to take care of you. You will not be forgotten and left alone ever again"

"Good. A young man like yourself should have a strong appetite!" Loki encouraged with a smile, wanting john to feel validated. He then waited for his own sundae as the boy ate it with gratitude and frowned as John admitted to not having a lot of ice cream. He felt quite sorry for the boy's lack of childhood. He smiled as the boy called him 'papa' and replied "You're quite welcome, my son" He then ate his own ice cream with a satisfied hum

John smiled at him.

"I believe you. You could have broken your promise to Johnny and made me a slave. You could have even kept him locked up in your room if you wanted. But you didn't. You care about us. You've made him happy and I thiak you for that. But I'm glad you both want me. It's nice to be wanted." said John.

He looked at Loki and nodded. John was near tears as he spoke.

"How did I get so lucky? I had no real family and then I got two wonderful dads. When Johnny first told me I thought I was dreaming. That no one would want me. And now I've got everything. I had to pinch myself a few times so I know this was real." said John.

He chuckled.

"If I have a problem I won't mind saying it. I have a bit of a temper I admit. And if I cross the line I know you may have to punish me like lock me in my room or something. There maybe times I'll be mad at you. I'm a teen after all but I'll never doubt you care." said John.

John grinned.

"I know. I've just loved for so long without it. Going to the mansion was the first time I felt safe. But this was the second. I'm glad to be here." said John.

John nodded.

"Alright. I'll leave that up to you. "said John.

He paused at the words and shook his head.

"He's got enough to deal with. I wouldn't want him to be forced to look after me. If something happened to you guys I'd probably just be on my own again." said John.

He didn't know that many people here or trusted them. Aside from his new family. But making new friends here couldn't hurt. John grinned at Loki's words.

"I guess you're right." said John.

He moaned as he ate the ice cream.

"I'd have this every day if I could. Although I doubt I could live on just ice cream." said John, jokingly.

John grinned as Loki called him my son.

"I could get used to hearing that." said John.

"Of course I care about you both. Believe me, I would never dare imagine lying to johnny and enslaving you. I do look upon the both of you as my family" Loki smiled softly. He then saw the boy get teary, saying he was lucky, that he was so used to being alone. But now he was a heir to the throne and had two loving fathers. Loki gave him a hug before replying "Every child deserves to feel wanted. This includes you. Yes you are technically not a child but you are young. You deserve the best in your life"

"Well of course, as a parent I also need to guide you even at the cost of your anger. And at the cost of punishing you. So chores and confining you to your room could work. So best behave yourself" Loki teased, giving a small laugh to indicate that. He was somewhat serious but that last sentence was hopefully taken as a joke. He smiled as John was assured about the adoption process and feeling loved. But then brought up that evan didn't need to guard him "Nonsense. I do not wish to know that my son was left in the cold after my death. My brother, I'm sure, would love to have you"

"I doubt so too, could start to make you feel ill after a while. But, it is still quite the lovely treat" Loki continued to eat his, glad that John was finally enjoying himself. It was good to get to know the teen. It was good to have a son. Loki beamed as John said he could get used to being called that. He nodded, continuing to eat.
