New Status (Aldrich)

[Victor Von Doom/Dr. Doom]

(ooc: January 8th. Morning)

Victor was fuming as he was led from his cells. He'd been in a cell for a few days when he wasn't allowed to eat with the other slaves. First Johnny and then Thor had hit him. And both hits hurt his pride more than his body. And his other wounds from the guards had been healed to his surprise. The guards had said something like an injured slave wasn't any good and he was then dropped off to a new room with the doors locked behind him. This wasn't a cell door it looked almost like his old room. He frowned realizing he was still in shackles which meant he was either here to see Loki. Or he was being delivered to his new master.

"Hello? Is anyone here?" asked Victor.

[Aldrich Killian]

Killian was told to keep a close eye and a firm look, yet something amused him about being chosen for Victor's master. It was a pleasure to serve the king and be in his good graces. Yet being superior to a former king stroked his ego quite a lot. So whatever anger or nonsense Victor had to throw at him, Killian was far from afraid. Today was the day to actually meet this new slave. He was supposedly the worst one. More so than that kid Eugene Thompson. This was going to be a treat.

"Indeed there is. Hello your highness" Killian said good-naturedly, bowing mockingly. Of course he was being fun, he couldn't help himself. Sure Victor was probably not going to like it but Killian honestly didn't care. He just wanted to enjoy it. It was fun not being minor or less than. "My name is Aldrich Killian. Call me Al or Master. That's preferable actually" He then looked at Victor and hummed "Quite a lot of trouble you were in. Not a lot of good luck happened, huh?"

(OCC: Couldn't resist making killian be a bit of a jerk at first. He'll be nicer. I promise XD)

Victor paused looking up seeing Killian. He frowned at him.

"Don't mock me. I'm a king. I shouldn't be treated like this." said Victor.

He paused as the man introduced himself. He ignored his suggestions still annoyed at the man.

"Hello Aldrich. I'm Victor Von Doom ruler of Latveria." said Victor.

He glared at him.

"The foolish king tried to punish me for past crimes against Johnny. Even though the pyromaniac stood up for me to my surprise it still didn't work out. It was all his fault and I almost got rid of him. He's ruined my plans and now he's ruined my life." said Victor.

"I'm not following, your highness. I bow for you and you don't like it?" Aldrich grinned, extremely amused. It seemed that it was rather easy to get under this man's skin. Oh he was going to have such fun. "Or, as I have been told, you are really not a king anymore are you?" Killian's grin was mischevious and cunning, like he was thinking this was some big joke. He then nodded as he got a name, Victor. Victor Von Doom. A name that was certainly remembered "Well that's certainly a name to be reckoned with" Aldrich smiled, as the man started to glare at him.

"Well to be fair you were going to kill a man who was trying to spare your life and is the king's consort. If it weren't for Johnny, methinks you'd be dead by this point. So I don't think you have a right to complain in the grand scheme of things. Yeah it sucks having your stuff taking away but you could always get it back. Your life? Ehhhh not so much" Aldrich replied, his tone playful. He truly didn't care about Victor's anger. If anything, he was more interested in being in the king's good side. Because it gave him a lot of good privileges. Victor, honestly in Aldrich's point of view, was a idiot.

Victor sighed as he looked at him.

"You're not bowing for me. You're mocking me. That's all everyone has done. Mock me or punish me. I was king. I should be ruling Latveria or the world. And I've last everything because of that brat and that overprotective king. Wanting to punish me for the past." said Victor.

He frowned at him.

"I am still a king. He can not strip me of my title. Latveria is mine!" said Victor.

He shrugged at him.

"They were going to take my title and my kingdom from me. I lost it. It was all his fault. His and the rest of the Fantastic Four. I should have finished them when I had the chance." said Doctor Doom.

He frowned though as he spoke and he had to admit his words did have a ring of truth.

"You may be right about that. But now Loki wouldn't give me anything. Everything's been taken from me even my freedom. He'll always see me as a threat no matter what. Damn them both!" said Victor.

He paused looking up at him and sighed.

"I'm sorry I didn't speak with you much before this unfortunate business. Maybe we could have been friends. But now I don't think I have even one ally here. You're probably just going to keep mocking me. Or are you going to start beating me like Loki or his pathetic guards." said Victor.

"They to be fair are punishing you for trying to kill Johnny currently. And me? Mock you? Come on! Am I really that bad of a guy?" The truth was he was mocking Victor but he was enjoying himself far too much. This guy was just a sensitive son of a bitch. Aldrich resisted the urge to gag as Victor declared himself king still and that he deserved to not have his title stripped "Correction. You WERE a king and if you keep yapping your jaw, death will come knocking at your door. And considering your attitude and pride, I don't think you'd want to see Johnny at your last moments now do you?" Aldrich was impatient but his amusement turned into simple smugness

"Oh yeah" Aldrich laughed "Please. 'Finish him off when you had the chance'? You can't be serious. The king was going to make you go to the light and that "brat" spared you. After all you did, I honestly think you should stop harping on the consort" Aldrich wasn't a friend of Johnny's but he was loyal in his own way. After all, being in good graces was the good life and Aldrich certainly didn't want to go onto Johnny's bad side let alone hurt him in front of the king.

"I think THAT is your fault. You attacked Johnny when Loki was right there" Aldrich rolled his eyes as Victor continued to complain. He then shrugged and replied "Maybe I will mock you still, maybe I won't. Hey, I only beat the crap out of someone if they attack me. Physical fighting is only for self-defense in my book. Nah, I'll think of more creative ways to keep you in line. But hey, we can still be friends, good friends, if you stop being a bit of a sensitive sue"

"Because of that brat they were going to steal my kingdom and my power. No one gets the best of me and lives to tell about it." said Victor.

He was too arrogant and had acted impulsively. It had cost him everything. But now he was a slave. And he sighed.

"But it doesn't matter now. They've made me a slave. And there's not a damn thing I can do about it. The king made his own brother a slave and if he wouldn't free him or any of the other slaves. No chance he's going to ever free me." said Victor.

Victor frowned knowing it was true.

"You're right. I underestimated them both. And that's on me. I let my rage blind me." said Victor.

He sighed.

"I have nothing. No power, no title, and no allies. I don't know what I'm going to do." said Victor.

He paused glaring at him as he brought up being sensitive before realizing he'd offered to be his friend and looked at him surprise.

"Friends? I don't think I've really had a friend before. I'd like that." said Victor.

"Yes. Keep talking about that. That'll sure as hell change matters" Aldrich replied sarcastically, raising a eyebrow. He couldn't believe the balls on the new slave. But maybe that's what made Killian so interested and amused in the first place.

"Probably not no. But there's no use just sitting here, feeling sorry for yourself. Best you just be thanking your stars you're still alive" Aldrich advised calmly. He then saw as Victor finally realize reason and begin to acknowledge his side of the blame. Killian gently patted his back and replied "Hey listen, if I were in your position I'd be pretty pissy too. Still, I wouldn't go around killing but I can understand why you tried" He then sighed "I can try to make you feel as comfortable as possible under me"

"Aw now come on" Killian said, somewhat sympathetically "Not true. Sure you're not a king but you can still have a chance to make friends here" He pointed to himself and then nodded as Victor sutbly accepted his invitation "Then good to meet you, pal. Let's be friends"

Victor sighed. He was furious and sad at the same time.

"I've ruled my country. I worked hard to get my kingdom. I didn't just inherit it. I proved my worth and now my life's work was taken from me. My birthright. My family legacy. Gone." said Victor.

Victor shook his head.

"It's the perfect time. I honestly wish he'd just killed me. To live with this humiliation is more than I can bear." said Victor.

Victor listened as Killian patted him on the back and spoke to him.

"No one's been able to stop me. Diplomatic immunity. Now I wouldn't have that. Not even the Fantastic Four could stop me for good. Now I have nothing. I can't even use my powers." said Victor.

Victor looked at him confused.

"But why? I mean I don't even really know why bothered to take me as a slave. You could have just let me to rot in a cell. No one else would have cared." said Victor.

Victor looked awkward at that and looked down at the ground.

"I wouldn't know how. I've never really had any friends." said Victor.

Victor was surprised as Kiliian accepted.

"Alright. I suppose having a friend couldn't hurt." said Victor.

"Well, now is the time to show that Loki made a mistake. By, you know, not acting like a kingly know it all? Or not murdering people?" Aldrich suggested. There was evident sarcasm but the advice was the best Victor was gonna get. It was no use feeling sorry for yourself. Let alone complain. He was lucky he wasn't dead. Severely lucky he wasn't tortured. Johnny spared him. That was the only thing standing between victor and the axe of execution.

Or maybe being dead would be better, considering Victor's next words. Aldrich gave a soft, sympathetic sigh "Come on. Seriously? You're going to just give up? Where's the tough exterior you seemed to have? You can see this as teaching experience. To become a even better king than Loki if you learn about it quickly enough" Aldrich was pulling this out of his ass. Mostly to shut Victor's whiny attitude up.

"Hey. Listen. You have your words. They're powerful enough to get you here, they're powerful enough to get you out" This was the most honest thing Aldrich ever said. And it was true. Victor was convincing, Aldrich was just too much of a business man to fall for it. But someone simpler could buy his whole sob story in a heartbeat. He then gave a big grin when asked why he was glad to take Victor in "Well, declare me having a bleeding heart. I see potential in me and you. If you start being nice you can get everything back eventually, and me and you can help make the king make powerful decisions to destroy competition. That's why I brought you here. Cause I like you, even IF you nearly killed someone I personally liked, but still"

"Not at all. Believe me. Friends come from all places" Killian replied, a grin on his face

Victor sighed.

"So he's allowed to conquer the universe but I can't kill one of my own enemies? What a hypocrite." said Victor.

Victor shook his head.

"What's the point? I attacked the king's consort. I don't see how Johnny and I could end up friends. I did try to kill him his sister and friends back on Earth once. He granted me mercy which I see as weakness. But I don't think there's a way for me to come back from this." said Victor.

Victor chuckled.

"I think Loki was just glad to have followers. I don't think titles meant much to him as he's king here. My words I don't think could help me much." said Victor.

He blinked in surprise as he spoke.

"You actually like him? That's a surprise. How do you think you could help me?" said Victor.

Victor smiled at him.

"I suppose they do." said Victor.

"Hey it's because he's in charge and you harmed one of his people. If you harmed someone on the other side, I doubt he'd give a shit. My point still stands. Just prove to him that he made a mistake by being as discreet as you can possibly be" Aldrich replied, a smirk on his face. To be fair to victor, the former king had a point. It was a bit hypocritical to preach about not harming people when you enslaved a world.

"If he spared you even when he tried to kill you, I don't see why he wouldn't be friends with you. I mean even people who have done crime for years can change in a day. Where's that gusto? You had that a minute ago" Aldrich insisted, just tired of Victor's consistent complaining. But something told him, considering how arrogant this person seemed to be, that it was definitely going to take a while.

"Hey you never know. Loki's hot-headed but he knows intelligence when he sees it" Aldrich shrugged at that. Victor was pretty much the best politician. Always having a answer to Aldrich and always debating with him. He then replied with a shrug "I like Loki because he gives me opportunity to make myself powerful. And with my charisma, I can talk my way out of a prison sentence. Hell, with you acting all humble and me vouching about how well-behaved and how sorry you are, you'll be out of here by two months" A little egotistical and optimistic? Oh most definitely, but honestly some of it was Aldrich trying to make victor be a little more positive and some of it was joking.

"Oh they do. Put it here" Aldrich shook victor's hand here and replied "Well let's get you settled in. You may be here for a little while"

Victor sighed.

"I suppose. Still he's one of my enemies. Although he was almost my brother-in-law. I only put up with him because of Sue and she ended up dumping me for her ex and then married him." said Victor.

He shrugged.

"I can't exactly do that. I'm a slave. He's not likely going to change that. If Johnny was the king maybe he'd show mercy. I mean being a ruler of my own country I always deported not thrown in jail. But this is different." said Victor.

Victor nodded.

"He is a powerful king. I joined him not just to spare my country but I could see his power. Now I've lost everything I've spent years building." said Victor.

Victor looked at him oddly.

"Even if I was that good of an actor I doubt he'd let it go. I have to prove myself somehow." said Victor.

Victor smiled shaking his hand.

"I guess so." said Victor.

"Ah, geez. That's tough. I get that it's rough but you never know? Maybe you can be friends with time? I don't know, that IS tough to swallow now that you put it like that" Aldrich understood the concept of betrayed love. He was in love with Pepper, only to be rejected because of interests with his true nemesis Tony. So he felt a bit differently about Johnny, because he probably reminded Victor of the what-ifs. Aldrich sighed as Victor objected a little more "Hey, like I said, if you just show how sorry you are Loki will probably give you a chance. If there's one thing I know about kings, is that they got massive egos that can be stroked to oblivion"

"You do realize it's gonna take a while before he actually can destroy your country? It'll take a while, so you still have time on the clock to save your country. I can maybe smooth talk for you since this country means so damn much to you" Aldrich could work his way up just to help his new friend. Why not? It'd give him something to do, plus if victor got freed he'd have a powerful ally. He then smirked as Victor commented it'd take more work than to make up an act "Then prove yourself, vick. You might as well. What else can you do besides mope?" He replied sarcastically. He then shook hands then replied "Alright, so you a drinker? I got some good wine over here"

Victor sighed.

"I really screwed up. I'll be lucky to gain my freedom and I doubt I'll ever get my kingdom back. But being friends seems impossible. There's too much bad blood between us even before what I just did. I tried killing him, his sister, his brother-in-law and his friend twice. And this attempt on him was the third time. And you know what they say three strikes and you're out. I guess I'm lucky to still be alive too." said Victoir.

Victor shrugged.

"I am sorry I was caught but I let my anger take over. I usually think things through. I guess I wasn't thinking clearly." said Victor.

Victor shook his head.

"Maybe he won't destroy it all. He'll just give it away to someone else like a prize." said Victor.

Victor sighed again.

"But how am I supposed to do that? Neither Loki or Johnny is going to trust me. Not that I blame them." said Victor.

He grinned at the mention of wine.

"That would be good." said Victor.

Aldrich pondered as Victor seemed to finally get how lucky he was to be alive. But he did feel some sympathy for the guy. Everything of his was now taken away all because of bad judgement. Maybe with some sweet wording aldrich could get it back. And if he could he and victor could be set with a plan. Now the plan would definitely not be to betray loki, but it would definitely be to manipulate loki to make decisions. That would be a cozy living. Plus victor would owe him big time if he succeeded. Aldrich smiled calmly "Hey man, don't you worry. Like I said, we have time on the clock to save your country. I can work something out for you. Give me three months tops and I can smooth talk the king to sparing it" He then replied "Just give me time"

"Definitely not. Anger is definitely the most impulsive of emotions believe me" Aldrich knew the sin of wrath all too well. He then pondered about the country some more. He replied "Now come on, he's got america and europe to still worry about. They are stubborn asses. They will not give up their freedoms. Your country is the least of his worries. Just act nice and he won't touch it. Which you kind of need to do now since you nearly killed the consort" He then smiled brightly when Victor said he was a drinker "Wonderful! I got the best kind from the vineyard actually" He raced to get some red wine and got a bottle, two glasses then opened said bottle. He gave one to victor before giving one to himself "Cheers to friendship"

Victor nodded.

"Time's all I have at this point." said Victor.

He sighed.

"If there's anyone left down there. It was like a warzone down there. I don't even know if my country's even in one peace." said Victor.

He grinned taking the glass and taking a swig.

"Guess it's nice to have a taste of the finer things. I've heard how that other creature treasures his slave. So I'm grateful you're not just locking me up in chains and treating me poorly. You'd have right being my master but I'm grateful you treat me as a friend. When I regain my kingdom I'd definitely make my royal vizier or member of my council." said Victor.

Aldrich couldn't help but chuckle before replying "Ah, maybe but given my talent of talking I can make it look nice again if it's not. Look Loki is smart but he's a egotist like the rest of us. Talk right and he'll give you anything" He then drank some more wine and nodded at Victor's words. He then smiled pleased to see victor was finally letting his guard down with him. Better to make allies than enemies, especially a slave. Aldrich was definitely gonna help victor and make this partnership a sure deal "Aw that's real sweet victor. And listen, wine is definitely one of the better inventions of mankind let me tell you" He drank some more carefully to not overdo it before responding "Listen I like you. Truly. The fact is you are a smart brave dude, problem is you lost your temper. Given enough time you'll be back free before you know it and we can probably make ourselves very happy in this new world. Not treason mind you but there are other ways to succeed than treason trust me"

Victor nodded.

"I guess I don't have anything to lose. If you think you can help." said Victor.

Victor chuckled.

"I have a few good bottles in Latveria for special occasions." said Victor.

He frowned.

"Well I had a few bottles." said Victor.

Victor smiled taking another sip.

"I lost it and now I can't take it back. I wish I could. I mean to be honest the brat's not so bad. Sue was the one who dumped me. Reed was my rival but Johnny well before we ended up as enemies he didn't do anything. I mean come to think of it he could have asked me at any time to be kicked out or locked up but he didn't. The only one who screwed this up is me." said Victor.

[Aldrich Killian]

"I know I can help. I'm a business man, I'll get you what you need" Aldrich winked, confidentially. He knew he would convince the king. Just would take time. And Aldrich had plenty of it, which means plenty of time to plan and make his way into the king's ego. He was not gonna sabotage the king, no, just get the king to trust him enough to get what he and victor wanted. He then made a impressed whistle and replied "Victor, my man, you know how to live right" He then saw victor get sad and depressed. Feeling again disgraced and embarrassed. Aldrich patted his shoulder "Ah I hear you brother. Women am I right? Always go for the loser instead of a winner"

He then patted his shoulder again as victor admitted responsibility "Hey so you screwed up. I told ya man. Forgiveness isn't impossible. Not for you. Not for any of us. Most of us here probably are looking to loki for a second chance at life anyway. So you can still fix this and I'm gonna make sure I help ya" He replied honestly and sincerely. He was starting to feel sorry for victor, that could've been the wine he was drinking though.
